this was a breath of fresh air - this not a fluff piece - it aint perfect but this is thinking out side the box, and it aint a BL per-say. maybe cause of that, all the regular BL connoisseur's have given this a pass. there r bits that defy logic and common sense, but the fact that this is something new - makes me give it the benefit of the doubt, whenever confronted with a plot hole.interesting character's, but in this ep - Songpol had my heart, the fact that at 55 - now he felt that he could live life as he wanted, was so freakin sad and heart breaking - heck dude couldn't "fan girl" over his idol and stick her pic's on the wall - what type of ridged mother did he have. that's freakin sad. so these kids getting a second chance is sweet, cause each of them is leading a sad life. but the big question is, will they be able to do better? or will they repeat the same mistakes?!?side note - hope they explain why they all got their id's photocopied - let alone why they signed it. only Jarunee got it cause that shopkeeper offered and she didn't sign hers. so left wondering what that was all about.
wow this was such a clusterfuck and Oyama totally fits the bill of evil genius mastermind. he has been predicting their every move (even before he knew who they were, then it was just one step late). now as he knows who they r, he 5 steps ahead of them. which is sad but "Avalanche" was a bit too successful in their missions all throughout this drama (which was great, cause i enjoy seeing the good-guy coming out on top, and yet it was concerning cause how long could this winning streak last?!?) so i guess this is the big set-back before the grand finale. ****************************************************************************************************************************************i just hope it wont be anticlimactic - as seen in the preview Habu's confrontational speech "promise" - hope it doesn't come to naught
poor Saijo, here from the start was suspecting him of being a mole and in the end he was being used cause his father was involved. so not only did he find out he wasn't recruited cause he such an upstanding officer, but it was cause his father was corrupt. glad that after everything said and done, Habu came to get him - cause after that confrontation with his father, dude looked orphaned. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************next ep is gonna be a mess - idk how they gonna survive this, alive let alone achieve their goals and the Former Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary might be backing them - but they on their own as he lacks the power to go against Oyama. so 4 more ep's to go and wonder what's gonna happen - *************************************************************************************************************************************i get the "no kills" rule Michiyo wants them to abide by. but like in this ep - considering the people they r after, r greater in number and have no aversion to murder. this is turning into a tough ask. heck watching Habu, Rina and Uchi trying to take on that group of men trying to save Garcia was ridiculous - of course they got their asses handed to them - logical - starting to get the feel this gonna turn suicide mission depressing. hope i'm wrong
from the start of this, was wondering how Michiyo had money to fund this whole operation, and now we know. but as he is the Former Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary. and he even admitted to being Oyama's mentor, who says he any "cleaner"?!? but i guess as Michiyo and the whole group, lack power let alone money. they need to side with someone who has it - even if he not decidedly a "good guy". ***************************************************************************************************************************************this ep also shows us how and why Avalanche was formed. interesting - but think it was a "palate cleanser" cause it has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride until now, so this was a relaxed ep, before "the storm begging"... ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************also find it kinda ironic that Oyama this genius, evil-master mind that can predict Avalanche's next move, but luckily his people always a step-behind. so the question is, how long Avalanche's luck gonna hold - till the end? or from now on they gonna suffer, set-backs? cause they got the devil's own luck until now and keep mentioning this, that mask doesn't really hide their identities. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************btw if Maki really a genius, he will take that reports card and use it to dig up dirt on the guy and expose him to the world - when he too busy with his own problems, he won't have time to go around creating more trouble for Avalanche distracting them from their goal
he Madam from the previous ep - talk anticlimactic,…
he Madam from the previous ep - talk anticlimactic, though even if she was down, she wont be out. she would regroup and try and get even with Oyama for how he abandoned her, after all the work she has done for him. so she was nothing but an act - oh well. ****************************************************************************************************************************************and not astounding Oyama found one member of Avalanche - like i mentioned already, they have done nothing much to cover their tracks let alone their identities - that mask aint masking them, cause with or without, they each have a very distinctive look - and loads of the time they without a mask, and for whatever reason they keep making eye contact with Oyama. little wonder he didn't recognize Rina from the restaurant, and connect the dot's ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************found it ironic that Michiyo wanted Saijo to turn Yumi into their informant - was sure (well still am) that it would be the other way round. idk why but there is something about Saijo, that wont allow me to trust in him 100%. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the reporter is annoying, heck most of the reporting on the group sound stupid - anyone can see that the group's objective is getting the truth out and uncovering the lies, murder and corruption being covered up by the rich and powerful. if Avalanche was acting as judge, jury and executioner i would wonder if they shady and have some nefarious motive - here other then exposing the bad and guilty, they leave the judgement & punishment to the public and the law, ugh! that reporter just butthurt they doing his job, and out scooping him
this time they didn't get their guy or gal, in this case. and it's logical that the members of a vigilante group, usually come together cause the one thing they have in common - is that they all didn't get justice when a near and dear one was hurt / murdered. so not astounding that every ep revolves around a group member getting justice, and yet it's turning a bit cliché.****************************************************************************************************************************************also have to wonder and ask where Michiyo's getting the money to finance Avalanche - their headquarters isn't some shabby hole in the wall or dungeon. let alone the money she put in front of the group when recruiting them. and even if she was in a higher position before getting demoted, how much can a cop's pay be?!?
another great ep and Maki's acting is out of the park - i almost cried cause of him. that was a ton of emotion to come up with in the blink of an eye, and convey the grief he finally allowed himself to feel. but didn't get his smiling at Oyama Kengo. or what Kengo's facial expression meant seeing his smiling face. they know each other - how? why? what does it mean?!? *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************and Avalanche is great and all, but they don't really do that good a job of covering who they r - here they took Komori Yuichi to the same place Muguruma Kazuya was held for ransom in - where Oyama Kengo sent his guys cause Muguruma Yasujiro couldn't be bothered. plus that mask may hide their faces, but someone who saw them without it, would easily recognize them. and that logo, it's on the flat number, their headquarters at (in the entrance to that building) anyone could see that, and recognize it for what it is - that not some random graffiti - oh well... ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************also get Saijo aint convinced he or the group r doing the right thing - taking the law into their hands - and yet i find him acting scared a bit much - he a cop not a pencil pusher. so him always scared, not knowing what to do, whenever there is a situation where he needs to fight / defend himself or help other's is a bit annoying. let alone unbelievable - maybe i'm nitpicking but these plot-holes r annoying me
interesting first ep - like all the different personalities, but have to say the fact this doesn't have a romantic angle, is making this a winner for me. ****************************************************************************************************************************************Saijo the sceptic, is meant to be the voice or reason - even though had my moments thinking he a mole planted by Oyama Kengo, as he seemed to not trust Yamamori Michiyo and is trying to get her under his thumb. and as long as she resists him, even with the demotion he will keep his eye on her, just to make sure she doesn't get up to something that could hurt him (ironic considering what she is apart off). so hope i'm wrong and he is just very straight-laced, and thinks the law should be upholded by cops and not some vigilante group. great start - onwards to the next ep
a lot going on in this ep and yet i donno how i feel - from the start of this i've said Oyama was always a step behind, until he knew who was involved (who Avalanche's member's were) then he was half a step ahead. so nothing really shocked me in this ep - everything went according to his plan, even with all of Avalanche's master plans. *********************************************what i didn't predict was Kirishima suddenly changing sides. he was on Oyama's side until this ep - no?!? then why he tell Fujita that "everything we did was for u?!?" confused - also was sure Uchi survived - but i guess the scene we saw them in their "hide-out" was before everything started - was a bit confusing, seeing that after the bomb going off. ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************also have to say Yamamori is coming off a bit stupid, i get Oyama is her higher-up and it's inbred in her to bow to anyone in authority. but now that the "cat's out of the bag" she still bowing to Oyama?!? meeh - really donno what i feel with the revel at the end. just hope that Oyama's just deserts r worthy of the evil genius that he is, and his comeuppance isn't brushed to the side. now that would be disappointing
well glad the culprit was caught and it wasn't dragged out until the end of this drama - even though, considering the new victims make-up i donno how elated i still am - hate seeing children get hurt. and was really dreading what we gonna see, when we were getting that close-up on the house that poor child was taken too.... *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************but Ha Young's passiveness is still rubbing me the wrong way - yeah he got the job done and thankfully he has a conscience, that motivated him. but cause of his passive attitude (too date) one innocent man spent 1 yr in prison and a woman lost her life . so was happy/elated(!) that not only he but the whole station was in hot-water, when the victim's mother told the press that they forced a confession out of her daughter's innocent bf. it was fun watching the lot distressed and stressed, by the incoming calls. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************them looking the other way - they as guilty as Park and sadly he won't get more then a slap on the wrist, and this whole matter will be swept under the carpet and forgotten - what's worse he will continue to do the same with the next guy he thinks fits the bill, no real police work needed - just get out the boxing gloves this just sad, as this goes to show why people Don't trust cop's
unlike everyone else (some of the comments i read) i aint falling all over myself, after finishing the 1st ep - if anything this reminds me of the saying that 'the gears of justice turn slowly' - snail paced more like, and sadly the innocent and victim's suffer. the new victim is on Ha Young's head not only Park's! ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Detective Park is the representation of a prejudice, conceited ass that doesn't want to work and figure out who the real criminal is - he just jumps to assumption's and then beats whoever is closest and that's a wrap - if anyone Ha Young was a disappointment to me. his passivity is as bad as Park's bully, abuse of power mentality. maybe Ha Young doesn't have the power to stand-up to Park, but he knew that Ki Hoo was innocent. and yet at every turn he backed Park (by looking the other way or keeping silent). that isn't just sad, it's infuriating - so Young Soo turning to him about the profiler position, was undeserved hype. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************if this whole drama is gonna be Ha Young moving at a snails pace, letting more victim's be murdered cause he a passive ass i'm lose it *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the fact that this isn't fiction but something that happened, is shudder inducing - cause it goes to show how incompetent the cops really r. little wonder "the nation is gripped with terror.." when the ones who should catch the murders, r this unprofessional!!!
this was crazy fun - it took me a sec to get into it and get the hilarity but really job well done by everyone -this was great and for sure will rewatch
another hilarious ep - was just wondering how Mr Yamakura survived that bullet to the stomach - cause even if he was in pain logically he should've been bed-ridden.... but then Ichijo had to go finish him off - this so freakin crazy and somehow it keeps getting crazier... this is really fun!
this ep was hilarious - translation not being the 1st language aside, this was Hilarious(!) they really crazy, and i didn't know who i felt sorrier for; Satomi's lover or Tokita's boss, these two can turn an Asian elephant wild. as if Ohira running wild using violence left, right and center was needed to make this funnier. ********************************************************************ironically the cherry on-top was Shiina getting it on with Tokita's ex. hope the rest of the ep's r as funny cause finally LOL-ed non-stop in this ep - really enjoyed myself
one is crazier then the next - it's like they keep one upping each other, on how far they will go and how crazy they come off - which is entertaining. even though i feel like a lot is going over my head cause Japanese aint my mother tongue, and the translation doesn't convey, how hilarious this really is - as to me, its fun - but i crack a smile at the most *************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note that been thinking about, from the start - Seino Nana playing Ohira, isn't she pregnant?!? tried watching Konin Todoke ni Han wo Oshita dake desu ga, but for reasons... dropped that and all through the ep's (i did watch) i kept reading how she's pregnant and that's why her wardrobe is so lose and "off"... she already give birth?!? cause she doesn't look pregnant in this drama, and this the 3 one she's been in (from the one i mentioned) curious when she had time - weird
