Princess Agents started off as a good drama but the pacing and story telling got horrible. There were a lot of scenes that were unneeded and continued to prolong the drama. I could see the potential only if the director focused on the important things. This is why there were so many episodes and why this drama ended with a cliffhanger. You have been warned.

This was one of the dramas I accidentally stumbled upon while looking for something to watch. To be honest, I didn't know 95% of the cast in this drama but decided to give this drama a chance. Even though this drama is long, it is worth watching. This drama is about heroes such as Qin Qiong and Luo Cheng who fight for justice and to root out all corruptions in the Sui court. There is a lot of corrupted officials who are greedy for money or power. This is a story about brotherhood among heroes working towards a goal of ending the Sui Dynasty. The main idea is how Qin Qiong encounters lost family members or virtuous friends on a quest to fight for injustice during his journey. We have heroes that are not smart but have immense strength, we have heroes that are loyal to their lord even if the lord is corrupted and then we have heroes that have a sense of righteousness and work towards that cause. There are a lot of characters which may confuse you in the beginning, however once you start watching, you will get to know all the characters portrayed. There is some comedy involved in scenes with Cheng Yao Jin but that is because this character is not bright and also causes trouble. I really liked the chemistry between Qin Qiong and Yu Er. Yu Er is one of those type of girls that will go through thick and thin for their husband. There are a lot of things that happen and I wish some areas were more detailed with more scenes. There are also happy and sad scenes where you root for the characters. Overall, I enjoyed this drama. Try watching several episodes to see if this interests you.

I first found out about this drama from a music video by Ding Dang - You Yi Zhong Yong Qi Jiao Fang Qi (Courage of Giving Up). This song was just beautiful to listen to and it showed clips from the drama which made me want to watch it. I was wondering where I've seen the main actress (Liu Shi Shi) before and it was from another drama called The Young Warriors (2006). Eddie Peng and Hu Ge were also in that drama so I guess the trio ended up in another drama together! I also enjoy historic period dramas much more than modern period dramas so that may be a factor for you to decide if you want to watch this.

After I finished watching this drama, my only thought was: Wow, this was great and that song fits the drama perfectly! I am pleasantly surprised by the acting from Liu Shi Shi (Xin Yue). There were so many feelings going on and it just somehow pulls you into the drama, rooting for one character to be with Xin Yue. There are also some life lessons about life and love from this drama. One of the main points about love was if you do not take the opportunity at that one moment, you will continue to regret it for the rest of your life.

Highly recommend watching this drama as well as listening to the music on YouTube!
