I cannot tell you how much I loved Senior Li and Bailin's love story. It is so pure and genuine, especially at the end when he was describing how he fell for her. Although it took her a long time to realize and he withheld many feelings, it all came at the right time. She matured so much and seeing her now almost seems like a completely different person. I'm happy she was able to change and learn from her previous unhealthy relationship into a new one without desperation. I think it was more important that she learned about what she wanted in life before anything. It's amazing how this show touches on these things so simply yet so discreetly. It's honestly so beautiful to see their development and change and I love that. QiQi's relationship is complicated and I love her honesty. I've come to know her as somebody who is extremely direct and know what she wants. I appreciate her character a lot and the way I see it, it's just how she is. I'm glad nothing was forced at the end but happy he got to confess his feelings. I also loved how they touched on QiQi's backstory. Although I wish I saw more of her family, it was good enough. Both of them are so sweet and besties for life. Seeing Bailin also learn from the friendship she had with lili, was so extremely interesting and sad at the same time. Overall, have to watch/10.
The story between XiaoTang and Mu Hai, is simply so real. It is so real because it's not perfect. It hurts and it will make you feel like you got hit by a bus or like you've earned your dream car. It hits you in all the wrong but right places and makes you see the reality of life. I'm so glad this special exists because we recognize that they're relationship is complicated yet it seems almost impossible for them to leave one another. It's interesting to me how the poster looks so joyful but the episode is filled with so many mixed emotions. It's really fascinating to see XiaoTang's development and their realizations. These actors have truly pulled it all of and I can't seem to see a single flaw in their acting. I appreciate the story that they told and grateful that they forgave one another despite it all.
Thank God, these special episodes exist or else I would've been so frustrated as to how we got to the point of their happiness. I loved this episode, where we got to see how Mu Chenghe essentially "redeemed" himself and Liu Qi's own love and story. I am really glad this exists. I think it was beautiful the way he proposed to her. Everything made sense, especially Mu's story. I felt terribly bad for him but in the end, he learned something, I don't think they both expected. It's also interesting to see Xue Tong's maturity. It's sad, no, bittersweet to understand the meaning of a relationship but in the end it made me understand that it's not about yourself but the other person. I'm grateful they exist within the story and hope that they have a wonderful family. *SPOILER* I kind of wish I saw their kid. hehe.
