promising start‚ but falls flat midway
i was really looking forward to this because i hadn’t seen yinwar together in the same series for a long time. what made it even more exciting was that they invested their own money to produce this story.i watched this while it was airing, and it was heavily hyped by many people.
the series had a promising start. i initially thought jack would have a strong personality and be tough, but in the following episodes, he turned out to be silly and foolish. this sudden change in his character was disappointing.
the plot felt a bit boring and repetitive, as if it kept going in circles. there wasn’t much to keep me curious or motivated to stay tuned for the next episodes. i only pushed through because of the hype, but in the end, i found it mid or average.
i believe the series could have been better with stronger writing.
i really loved the grandma, joker, and hoy; they were so silly and cute. however, the rest of the characters weren’t well-developed, which was unfortunate.
what i truly loved about this series was the cast. around 30% of my enjoyment came from the series itself, while the rest was purely because of the actors.
also, they didn’t cut corners on the production, even though the budget came from their own pockets. the cinematography was impressive and visually appealing.
i’ve known the actors since love mechanics, and i’ve always appreciated their work. however, there were moments when they didn’t fully get into character and appeared a bit stiff. even so, i saw their efforts and appreciated them.
overall, i would give this series an average rating. the second and third parts of the episodes were the most exciting and enjoyable, but beyond that, it didn’t really stand out to me.

saved by good visual casting from flopping.
at first, i was hooked on this series because the first episode was great, and i thought it would be good until the end. but as the other episodes came out, the storyline just got terrible and boring. the characters are so poorly written—it’s like a typical school project, nothing special to keep watching. thankfully, the cast has good visuals, and that’s what saved this series from flopping. i haven’t seen anyone say the series itself was good, just people praising the cast. Was this review helpful to you?
no label, but what kind of relationship are they in?
so far, this is one of the hottest japanese bl shows i’ve watched.the characters really have a “no-label” relationship, but they didn’t explicitly show us what their relationship truly is. it feels like their relationship is based on the “friends with benefits” concept. although the storyline wasn’t really strong, i knew deep down that i could settle for less—but only for this series.
i have to admit, they really have great chemistry.
their nc scenes are well-executed and not awkward at all. it’s like they were fully in character, which made it more believable.
this series is so toxic, and that’s exactly what it’s aiming for. i don’t understand people who hate on this drama just because it portrays a toxic relationship when that’s clearly the point. as for the characters, each one has their own personality. sure, they can be annoying at times, and honestly, you should expect at least one of them to be a red flag—or even both—since you’re watching a JAPANESE DRAMA. But i personally have no complaints because i absolutely love how they portrayed them.
i know i get defensive when talking about shows i like, so i’ll stop here.

I would recommend this
one of my favorites. i saw this series a long time ago and was interested, but when i looked into it, i noticed it had a short runtime. i usually don’t watch that kind of show because i’m afraid it’ll be too short for me, so i hesitated to watch it. but on a random midnight, i decided to give it a try since i couldn’t find any other good series to watch. i even risked losing sleep because i had to get ready for school just four hours later, but i still decided to watch it. surprisingly, it turned out to be really good and became one of my favorite shows.it did leave me curious at the end, though, and i’m hoping for a season 2. there’s definitely something suspicious about why both bible and his friend got hit while they were in the car. i’ve seen a lot of bad or critical reviews about this series, with people saying it was poorly made. but we all know this series didn’t have a big budget to improve the production. still, i think they really tried.
i also liked the trope—a prisoner and a prisoner. i’m just dying to know more about the real characters and their backstories. it’s genuinely interesting.
to be honest, their acting needs to be improved, although it’s understandable because it’s their first time acting.

this could’ve been better
this is actually one of the best series i’ve watched. i started watching it when it first aired and always stayed tuned. i like most of the characters, though not all of them are my favorites, but they all served a purpose. if you’re into this kind of genre, i assure you that you’ll enjoy it—a mix of action and romance.the jeffbarcode scenes were a bit boring for me; i’m really sorry if this opinion offends anyone. the plot twist about kinn and porsche being cousins, but not by blood, didn’t really impact me because porsche’s mother and kinn’s dad aren’t even related by blood, so there’s no real reason to care. it’s just not the type of plot twist that resonates with me.
i think the show could’ve been even better if the writing was improved. i liked the cast, especially most of them. there were some good smut scenes, and i appreciated how they included english lines. the way vegas delivered them didn’t come off as cringe at all and what i liked the most about this series is the OST i love it so much i’m still listening to it ‘til now.
