A Shame it was so Disappointing

I rarely write reviews for dramas I watch but I feel like I just had to for this one. This drama started out with a promising outlook. I was excited for an easygoing drama about school friends and crushes that extended into adult life but this drama really changed for the worst.

It has such promising actors and could have been so much better but it just wasn't. Woo Yeon was blinded by Soo for so long and it was quite annoying and I thought Soo was just being horrible. Then Joon Soo comes along and I was excited for Woo Yeon to possibly have a normal relationship with someone who genuinely liked her. And then Soo's feelings towards her miraculously changed and he wouldn't give up until she liked him back. What?

This annoyed me so much and at first Soo was just a jerk to Woo Yeon and now he was an entitled jerk. He kept getting in the way of Woo Yeon and Joon Soo's relationship and Woo Yeon was stupid enough to give him another chance. And then to make matters worse, the writers decided to make Joon Soo clingy and borderline obsessive just so viewers would stop wanting her with him and instead with Soo. Once again, what?

Eventually I didn't end up rooting for either of the main relationships and instead only cared about the two secondary couples and what would happen with them. Especially Young Hee and Hyun Jae who had a genuine relationship and real problems and they couldn't catch a break. I cared for their scenes a lot more than the main couple's.

It's such a shame because Seongwoo and Yeeun are good actors and their past couple of roles really haven't done them any justice. This is the first time I've seen Dong Joon and while I liked his character at first, he was also wasted potential.

They said they were made for each other but I honestly thought at the end of it all, it was the opposite. Woo Yeon's last goodbye with Joon Soo made me more bitter as I believed they were a much better match. At least Young Jee and Hyun Jae had a happy ending.

I really don't like leaving dramas unfinished, even if I have to force myself to watch them, in the hopes that I'll feel more satisfied once I've finished or that things might get better but I honestly feel like I wasted my time with this one.
