DON'T BE AFRAID... HURT ME MORE!

The second part is where things go downhill... I know Ling Buyi and Shaoshang's relationship wouldn't go as smoothly but I didn't expect their story would hurt me this much. The development of their relationship was incredibly well-written. They went step by step from getting to know each other's traits, meeting their family, solving problems, and even chasing out problem makers from the palace together.

Shaoshang's character development was one of the things I liked the most about this drama, I cried a lot watching her grow from a silly troublemaker to a virtuous lady that solves problems. Although we were driven away from our beloved characters from part one (A-yao, Shaoshang's family, Qiqi, etc), we were also introduced to the Crown Family which has diverse personalities--but the Empress and Consort Yue are two amazing characters you wouldn't able to hate! They both played a great role in Shaoshang's fate. What was quite surprising for me was how doting the Emperor was to Shaoshang. It was really unbelievable for a ruler to be that kind and supportive of someone outside the crown family, but thanks to that oddity, our Shaoshang was able to achieve most of her dreams. Honestly, there are so many good things about this drama that I couldn't mention one by one.

The drama has many positive aspects, but I also love the angst. I love Ling Buyi was the key to the twist. His background was known very well to the world but in fact, there were things that kept hidden for his own good. What I hate--but I also love--was the miscommunication between the two leads who just happened to warm up to each other. This part really drove me crazy, I was in a painful state about whether to continue the remaining episodes or not. But as the story goes on, it brought them to a brighter end. The last episode gave me shivers... it was really the best closing for this drama!!

If you like Smart FL, you would love this drama!

The first part of the drama did very well in introducing each character. The main problem of the drama was also introduced from the very beginning although problems were recurring here and there, it didn't let the plot go awry. What I really liked about this drama, it didn't revolve only around politics and war, but also highlighted how should a family function. FL was introduced as someone weak but throughout the story, she will meet and work together with cool people, one of them being the ML. I really love how Niaoniao (FL) smarted out everyone around her though it brought her to her own disaster but with her grit and endurance, she managed to save people. The unexpected love story made things really interesting for the first part, which I actually rooted for.

Overall, this drama actually intimidated me at first because I rarely finish a drama with more than 40 episodes. Turned out, this drama was quite enjoyable with its own well-written comedy and tragedy to bring each character to its development. There were a lot of annoying characters as well who would make your blood boiling from patience but, trust me, the entire show was worth the time!

The most subtle BDSM movie ever....

Forget fifty shades of grey, this movie shows you how BDSM actually works. Love and Leashes proved that a 'sex' movie doesn't always have to be vulgar and explicit. The movie covers introductory to BDSM very well, I don't want to spoil much but trust me, you'll learn a lot from this movie. This movie is also debunking current issues such as sexual harassment, degrading women in work place, and many more. A little bit of everything, right? I like it because it's like a breath of fresh air, I really love the light atmosphere, relationship between the two main characters aren't too frustating, and the pace between them is nice to follow. The acting was good, but not that great. There is one scene that got me "kyaaah-" like way too excited for my own good, lol. The ending is pretty much rushed, I don't quite like it but it doesn't make the movie bad. Overall, I would love to recommend this movie if you need cute, yet spicy office romance!

Imagine you're being teleported into AO3...

This drama itself is like a self-insert fanfiction, which also, tells a cp fan who self-insterted herself to someone's story, but only as the cupid for the main characters. I found this story interesting because the FL only thinks about her favorite cp's story. It was kinda funny because I, too, would love to get involved with my favorite ship's love affair lol. Not only she is able to ship her fav cp with her own eyes, she also gets the man aka the writer to be her lover. Wonderful story isn't it?

However, there's more than traveling between two worlds. There are revenge, jealousy, and a suspenseful actions squeezed in this rom-com sci-fi drama. They packed this drama very well although the writing was kinda messy. Still, enjoyed the drama till very end. What's saving the drama is the main leads' chemistry! They didn't take a long time to realize each other's feelings, and they were very protective with each other. There was a slight misunderstanding before the ending, but it was solved rather quickly so you wouldn't get too frustrated. But there was a certain part that would make you rip your hair because Ji Shu (the male lead) couldn't reveal his identity (this part is so funny because I could see his frustration).

Overall, this drama helped me going through boring days. Although it wasn't perfect, it was nice to know about Ji Shu and Song Yangqi's story!

CUTE! HEARTWARMING! But nothing new...

I was bored because recently I haven't found any good romance K-drama lately and I found this movie... IT WAS WORTH MY TIME! I'm a sucker for both teeth and heart-wrenching drama. This one... served both. You got a sweet start and a bitter-sweet ending a classic K-drama formula!

The build-up of the story was really good. I enjoyed every interaction between the leads, the friendship between the characters, the setting that felt so nostalgic, and especially the start of their romance. I was enjoying the time when both leads were falling in love, kinda expected them to give more than shown in the movie. However, the twist came (kinda predictable) and everything started to fall apart. Up to the twist, everything was still well-written.

(SPOILER and rants AHEAD!!!)

The fight between Bo-ra and Yeon-do also didn't last long which was great. I always hate misunderstandings between friends, but they cleared everything quickly, and even we got what we wanted! The confession between the leads!

The ending was the one that made everything seems like a joke... GOD I hate it when they gave two happy people no happy ending, it didn't feel fair. I still cried though. But Wonhoo's death just didn't make any sense, they didn't even bother to explain why he died... He just *poof* disappeared from the story, which ruined everything that made the movie good!

and I wished Wonhoo's letter was the one that his brother sent to Bo-ra... it conveyed such great feelings rather than the movie she watched at the end.

I hope we all can be brave and accept ourselves :)

This movie was very well-produced! The pace fits how the story unravels itself. Starting with the main problem, as a watcher, this movie would hook you up from the very first sight. Wu Lei and Zhang Zifeng deserve a standing ovation for their excellent acting bringing out the characters alive. I really love the raw emotion and interaction of our main characters when they were trying to get to know each other. The chemistry of these two is what I love the most about this movie besides its meaning. I agree if anyone says this deserves a drama instead of just a movie, but I also think this short limit of time is already perfect for wrapping the entire story.

Personally, (spoiler) I don't like Zhang Yuxing's love story mainly because I don't think it's appropriate for an adult to date a high schooler. On the other hand, I feel really close to Chen Chen's curiosity about love, even like how she kept encouraging Zhang Yuxing to finish his unrequited love. The movie was ending with a bittersweet resolution for both characters, but that was exactly what makes this movie meaningful. There are some parts that owe us, watchers, some explanation before the movie ended obviously, but it doesn't lessen the quality of this movie. If you need a coming-of-age movie that actually has meaning, you should try this one!
