Well, the spinoff from Iris was not close to the original, why? Let me tell you!

Story/Love plot - A forbidden love between two warring organizations? I have to say that this was a great idea. Although this was different from Iris, it made the drama extremely interesting. Whenever there were collisions from the opposing sides, the love story would blossom during the most intense parts of the drama. Well done from the directors part for portraying it as such and the writers for coming up with this idea. Now, the actual drama, pretty good. An easy to follow story line but still throws in twists and turns to keep viewers interested.
Acting/Cast - Not as good as Iris, but the actors/actresses did their part. It was enough to keep viewers interested, but bringing in Kim So Yeon as a guest role showed that there was some wavering for the drama and needed a small help from the cast of Iris(Kim SoYeon was phenomenal in IRIS, but I digress)
Music - Kim TaeYeon sings one of the OST's, what more is there? Hah, I kid, the music was alright honestly.
Rewatch Value - Ehhh... The story drops off during the middle of the drama and it becomes a bit troublesome watching the episodes.
Overall - Yeah, it was ok, nothing great.
Circumstances - due to someone getting injured, production of the last two episodes were stopped for about 2 months, so I have not had the chance to see the last two episodes but I did read the summary, with a relatively predictable ending.

Ooh, no reviews.

Story 8/10 - Spies! Kids! Spy kids! Yeah, the story is a good break from watching melodramas or rom coms. Don't be too disappointed if the cases aren't that hard to figure out since the detective team is made up of young kids but its fun. I felt like a mini Sherlock whenever I watched this drama ^^. I know the drama is supposed to have serious moments, but this is one where you should have fun with it and not be too concerned with the main storyline. If you immerse yourself in each episode and become a detective with the kids, time flies

Acting/Cast 8/10 - Shida Mirai! ^^ The entire cast is really young in this, so their acting isn't as developed as older actors/actresses. But Shida Mirai is extremely cute in drama, adding her own style of quirkyness in each episode and shining when there are serious moments.

Music 6/10 - Jdrama OST's never really hit me, but the suspenseful music during murders help set the mood.

Rewatch 5/10 - Once was good enough. If you're able to solve all the cases without being shown the culprit, good job! You're on your way to becoming Sherlock Holmes~

Overall 8/10 - A fun and quirky drama mixed in with serious and mysterious cases. Watch an episode or two whenever you wish to take a breather from those serious melodramas and kick back while you watch 5 kids run around and solve mysteries

Well, I seem to have stumbled into something interesting while Im waiting for Yamapi and Acchan's newest drama to be posted online, WHY CANT I HAVE JAPANESE TV STATIONS DARN IT. Anyway, ranting about random things aside, lets get into this.

Story 10/10 : I really do like the storyline, an oblivious girl getting herself into all kinds of trouble as a prosecutor but slowly and surely begins to grow into a woman who has a sense of justice and duty. From what I've read in other reviews, the story does take a twist, going from a comedy to a more serious drama involving murder, but this was the same as Lie to Me, but romantic there, not dark matter or anything, but I digress. Theres parts of the early drama that just had me rolling in laughter, and for some reason, I couldn't stop, maybe because of KSY? Not too sure.

Acting 10/10 : Wow umm... I didn't even know Kim SoYeon can be bubbly and ditsy. From what I gathered from IRIS, she was one total b*d*ss who still was capable of loving even through her current circumstances. Her role in this is absolutely perfect, the way she acts makes you believe that she's a complete, dare I say, blonde, and in most of the early episodes, you're just annoyed with her. Her u-turn transformation from a serious agent in IRIS to a ditsy girl really proves her prowess as an actress. The directors also do a great job of keeping Lawyer Seo(sorry, I dont know his real name) in the shadows early in the drama, while the rest of the supporting actors/actress help the leads shine.

Music 7/10 : The OST's in the show fit great into the personal aspects of the characters but there were some parts where music was played where it was unncessary and invoked wrong emotions when it wasn't needed.

Rewatch 7/10 : Early episodes? Just for a laugh here and there, I hope that this continues to be interesting, be it from comedy or seriousness.

Overall 9/10 : Its a great drama, definitely underrated from other dramas, I hope it gets some more attention ^^.

What a cute movie!

Story (9/10) - This movie is about a wimpy boy who is always protected by a girl ever since they were kids. After years of being chased by local hoodlums(because he was friends with Aki[his "protector"], they wanted to be introduced, LOL), he comes across a boxing gym and decides to take up the sport. Wimpy boy learning how to fight, strong girl, we know where this leads, yes! A showdown! The mainstory line was great, but I felt that it did go off on a tangent once in a while with the substories. This movie was a great refresher from the norm and I definitely enjoyed watching it.

Acting/Cast (8/10) - Enjoyable, theres plenty of quirky moments as well as downright weird from what I thought of it. The more serious moments of the movie were moving as well. There was no overdrawn tears, or 4 minutes of crying with multiple angles, emotions were well enough conveyed that I felt sadness, anger and happiness when called upon. Also, I know the guy lead in this was supposed to be "weak", but I was just annoyed by him >.< There will probably be parts where you yell at the screen and say "JUST DO IT", and I'll know exactly how you feel.

Rewatch Value (7/10) - I can definitely see myself snuggling up on a cloudy day and rewatching this.

Overall (9/10) - Great movie! Im glad it was just a movie though, I feel as if a drama will drag too much, even if there are only 9 episodes that are 45 minutes long.

Side Note : If you end up watching this on dramacrazy, the subtitles are messy...

Sigh, after watching Iris, this drama was a complete disappointment. I started watching under a recommendation from a friend, and did not like the drama overall.
Story - Well thought out, I like the whole revenge plot, and taking down their enemies one by one, but I feel as if the story goes off into a tangent most of the time. The main problem I have with this is that it's under the category of "action", and while I know the beginning episodes are mainly for set up, there has to be a point where things get back into rotation. In one of the episodes, there was a 4 minute scene involving some sort of "action", while the rest of the episode revolved around other things. Now, I do admit that the subtle hints within the episodes help lead up to the overall storyline, it's too much to spend one full hour for a 30 second hint and the rest with what I feel like is filler. I also admit that this drama does have its moments, funny, dramatic and action, but theres too many parts of an episode that I'm painfully aware of the time and I wish for the episode to be over.
Love plot - ...Too much. Much of the episode just shows the two leads together. I find it pretty annoying honestly.
Acting/Cast - Good acting, I have to say. Much of the hype from this drama comes from the main lead being "hot", while his acting is nothing great.
Music - Decent, it gets you into the mood of things when it calls for it.
Rewatch - I can't even finish.
Overall - Meh. Which is a score of 5. It's just so slow at too many parts for me to try and salvage finishing the last episodes. I know its supposed to pick up towards the end, but I wont be able to stand watching this much further.

Lets crush hearts, shall we?

Story 8/10 : Why? Because its a remake of HYD, any lower score and I would be hurting one my favorite drama's pride. There isnt much to it, rich boy falls in love with poor girl, quirky adventures along the way, yeah, things of that matter.

Acting/Cast 3/10 : UGH! From the very second the girl lead began to speak, I hated her. They portrayed her as some annoying girl and I honestly didn't like that. And F4? Fine, Korean BoF has a little bit better eye candy than HYD, but their acting is just flat out boring. The only part they did well was showing that they were spoiled rich boys.

Music 5/10 - meh.

Rewatch 3/10 - No... just no. If you want to spend over 25 hours watching this drama, I suggest that you do something productive as a replacement of this drama.

Overall 4/10 - Normally, I give Korean dramas multiple episodes to draw me in, but I couldn't just bear myself to listen to the main leads whiny voice and sit there staring at LMH for a full hour. The order of viewing SHOULD be J version then K version. I gave BoF a chance because of my love for HYD but I can't taint my memory of something so wonderful with BoF.

Nobuta wo Produce~ a great jdrama.

Story- The storyline revolves around 2 boys and a girl, where the girl has closed herself off from the outside world and the two boys just don't really fit into their school and they decide to give her a makeover, "produce" her into the most popular girl at school. Its a fun idea with great moments. The drama is fun and quirky for the most part, showing emotional scenes whenever necessary. For a while, I copied "Nobuta's power.... Activate!" just because it was cute.

Acting/Cast- What makes this drama is the trio of stars that play the leads, Maki-chan, Kamenashi Kazuya and Yammapi. Alone, each star has the potential to make a great drama, and together, they show their capabilities. I actually didnt recognize Maki-chan in this at first(I know, I didnt read the cast list, blahh), but seeing her change from the quirky character of Hana Kimi into a dark, and pessimistic girl is a complete turnaround. Kame has also released a few of his own dramas, in my opion, the best being Tatta Hitotsu no Koi.
And Yammapi has been in many dramas such as Kurasagi, Dragon Zakura, so on and so forth. With such talented leads, its bound to be good.

Music- I dont know why, but music in jdramas never really stick to me unlike kdramas. Im pretty sure Kat-tun or Arashi sang the songs for this drama, so it'll be popular within japan/ fans of the two bands.

Rewatch? Hmm, I don't know about the rewatch. Maybe just a few scenes that were memorable but thats about it.

"The blue bird of happiness." Im sure everyone has looked for it at one point or another of their life, or maybe you're still looking for it. This drama follows the story of three women who cant seem to find this bird.

Story 9/10 - Three seperate women, three different backgrounds. This drama isnt meant for being a "take me outside reality" drama but rather to make you think about your own life as you follow the stories of the three women on screen. The characters face different problems: One: Giving up on love and finding it troublesome, Two:True love doesn't really exist, Three: I've never been loved, with each seperate circumstances, viewers are able to fit themselves into the drama and see what choices the characters make, and be able to reflect on the characters actions as well as their own personal actions in real life. Females are able to connect to this drama easier while males are given an insight on a female's way of thinking.

Acting/Cast 8/10 : Not the greatest you'll see, many viewers will probably find this show boring due to the lack of action or eye candy, but they do play their roles well enough. Yuko shows her inexperience through not being able to deny her first crush while Karina is portrayed as "one of the guys." If you can get passed the acting, this drama will make you think about yourself, in one way or another.

Music/OST 7/10 : Again, not the greatest, but helps contribute to the drama.

Overall 7/10 : It's definitely a slow paced drama, which is what I believe was intended. Its a type of melodrama that you lay down on your couch with a blanket, kick back and drink a cup of hot chocolate.

Rewatch 6/10 : Once was enough. Its enough to make you think about yourself, and those around you.

Well, lets do all the seasons and the movie in one review, I'll try to make it your One-Stop-Shop of reviews for Gokusen!

Since most of the drama revolves around the basic idea, this is how I'll rate them:

Genre (example: Story) : Season 1 Rating | Season 2 Rating | Season 3 Rating | Movie Rating

Without further ado, here are the reviews!

Story : 9/10 | 9/10 | 8/10 | 9/10
You can read the synopsis of the first season and its pretty much the same for the rest of them. My only problem with three seasons is that it does get repitative quick. You always see the students getting into trouble and Yankumi coming in to save them, with a message within each episode. The movie is the only place where you see Yankumi ever get into real trouble. The change in the third season of having two rival gangs was a fresh twist on the drama, but still ended up with similar circumstances. We also see a few familiar faces in the movie to show the growth of the students who turned from high school rascals into working class citizens of Japan. Overall, this was a great drama, especially since it makes you want to wish that you experienced this when you were in high school, I know I did.

Acting/Cast : 7/10 | 8/10 | 6/10 | 7/10
Oh well... Yeah, this wasn't much of a surprise that I didn't feel that the actors weren't great here. I believe that Yukie played her role well, while the boys... were there mostly for eye candy. The cast of the drama showed moderate synergy in the lighter parts of the drama (The vice-principal was always pretty funny though) and Yukie showed off her own acting abilities during the heavier scenes of the drama, at many points I teared up whenever she was giving her lecture. In short, Yukie was great, pick some eye candy from one season(I feel that Kame did well in the second season), and thats pretty much it.

Music/OST : 8/10 | 9/10 | 7/10 | 8/10
Kat-Tun OST :] - Kizuna, Season 2, definitely a song made me cry apart from listening to it in the drama. Yankumi's entrance to every bad guy's lair made her epic and I had gleams in my eyes, wanting her to kick their butts and save the pretty boy's faces from getting hurt any further ^^

Rewatch : 7/10 -------
Its the same for all seasons, I often go back to watching a few episodes whenever I'm feeling down about school life to see that somewhere out there, theres a teacher who cares for the students. (Even if this was a drama, hahah).

Overall : 9/10 | 9/10 | 8/10 | 8/10
I liked the first two seasons, and didn't feel that the third was great itself. But thats personal opinion, (I also didnt like the eye candy in the third, so that might be a part of it) Gokusen is a great school themed drama, showing that troublesome kids, kids who have been neglected by their schools and thrown aside, can become a useful part in society as long as theres proper guidance to teach them.

Definitely one of the best dramas that I have seen. I was a bit disappointed with ATHENA since I watched that first, but after watching IRIS, I can understand why they wanted a spinoff. The storyline is superb, with little to no dragging parts that can be seen in a lot of Korean dramas lately. Although some of the outcome can be predictable, much of the early storyline development will keep you on the edge of your seat, and after every episode, I wanted more(I actually didn't sleep for 2 nights because I couldn't end at some parts, hah). The cast is overall amazing, each playing their roles spectacularly. I also felt that the music fit into the drama very well, making me cry whenever there was a sad scene and keeping my eyes wide awake during the intense shootouts. I rated the rewatch at 8 just because I'm not a fan of rewatching dramas but this would be something I could watch again on a rainy day.

Hmm, this is one the first Jdrama's that I watched and one of the reasons why I began to love Jdramas over Kdramas.

Story - At its most basic form, its a run of the mill, rich boy falls in love with poor girl, which is typical. Although it is a common story, I like that the air time used was short and to the point. It was also done well enough to convey emotions and storyline within the allowed time (not counting the second season and movie of course).
Acting/Cast - What can I say? Inoue Mao is a great female lead, with the male leads being large names themselves. A star-studded cast, who portray great synergy amongst them and can really be seen within the lighter parts of the drama.
Music - I don't really remember much of the OST's for this drama, so I'll leave this one blank.
Rewatch - Definitely. As stated before, the length of the drama is short enough that it doesn't take chunks of your day watching a few episodes.
Overall - Great drama. Definitely recommended for those who are iffy about Jdramas.

Yeah.... what can I say? What the hell were the directors thinking ending it like that. I couldn't for the life of me bear to watch the last episodes fully, i had to keep skipping around.

Story(4) - Episodes 1- 8 or 9 were great, there was a lot of content and it kept everything really interesting, 10-20 were just complete trash. They just kept dragging out everything and even without watching the entire thing you could tell what would happen. JaeHyuk would do this, get pissed off at YG, lament over SSK and the entire stupid cycle repeats.

Acting(7) - They're great, but i just hated the second half of the series, it was just annoying.

Music(1) - TOO MUCH MUSIC, I muted my speakers everytime the OST came on because it just got to my nerves so much.

Rewatch(1) - do yourself a favor, if you end up watching this drama, stop around episode 10 and just say that it ends there with YG ending up with Shin Se Kyung and Yuri with JaeHyuk, you'll be much better off.

Overall(4) - yeah no, even though the first half was great, the entire second half of the drama was just irritating, cant give it over a 5.
