On the one hand, it's a breath of fresh air - instead of the usual violence, struggle and rejection, the protagonist finds love, strength and companionship in coming out. It's a side of the story that's not often covered in movies that instead chose to dramatize the trauma of being gay. The movie's depictions of LGBTQ life is refreshing, depicting the experience of having gay friends and the struggle of being closeted and normalizing the existence of closeted LGBT people.
But the main plot is kind of silly, the acting feels stilted and the camerawork is amateur.
Still, I would recommend watching it once just for the refreshing take on the subject matter.
