ep 9 felt like a little bit of a filler episode, but this episode was MAGNIFICIENT. from start to finish, i loved all the plot twists, and the pacing definitely picked up again while giving us so many heartbreakingly sweet moments. absolutely beautiful epilogue too.

the cherry blossom scene absolutely MELTED my heart. one of my top kdrama moments of all time. I'm obsessed with this couple, and this episode was an absolute gem with such cute yet also funny scenes with our lovely main leads.

i'm not crying, you are ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠwhoever marketed this drama as a romance was lying, it's a tragedy, and this last episode will make you BAWL for sure. also, in the eng sub version I watched, this episode's title was: "Not all broken pieces can be put back together, just like the past we can not have." *cue the waterworks again*

I have sooooo many questions after this episode (did the writers change or something?). Did we switch genres while I was sleeping, somehow scifi dystopia has turned fantasy where a cross can repel a virus? Really disappointed by this half-hearted episode after the decent set-up, premise, and cliffhanger from last week...

finally it's the weekend, which means time for The Atypical Family! I loved this episode cuz we got more gwiju x dahe time, the truth behind do dahe's childhood school fire experience, and the Bok family is starting to suspect something is up with do dahe. love how fast-paced this drama is, and i cannot wait for episode 6 after that preview!!

after this episode, the show took a nosedive into the makjang world and it cannot redeem itself in the last two episodes. kim so hyun's and kim ji won's acting is the only reason why i'm still watching.

WOW the narration dialogue during the last couple of minutes is *chef's kiss* this is why i love park bo gum's character (sa hye-jun) & how he sticks to his values consistently and firmly
