strange movie

I wanted to like this movie as I enjoy Jung Kyung Ho as an actor. Unfortunately, there is not enough information to become invested in the characters. From the beginning, you realize this movie will be melancholy. That is entirely understandable, as you know this is going in. But they introduce a new character and give no backstory in the movie. You are left to determine what role they are playing in the sad drama unfolding. Is the point of this character to say life goes on and there is a reason to keep living? Does the character show he is slowly losing grasp on reality?
