MaxNat Supremacy

This is absolutely worth a watch. It's a unique concept told with a lot of heart and emotion, which I think Max and Nat do such a beautiful job with.

I do think there were some pacing issues so the story started to feel slow in the middle, and I found myself not caring much about Phupha's story. I wish we'd got a bit more time with Jao and Wayu's storyline as well because they had such great chemistry from the start with their constant bickering.

I don't think I've watched anything like this so far, and honestly love to see Max and Nat's acting improve with every project they do together.

What was the point of this?

Seriously, what was the point of this? It had no direction and felt like it had no clue what it was trying to accomplish. There were some interesting threads that could have massively improved the story had they been focused on properly, but instead every couple of episodes had a new flimsy story arc.

It doesn't help that the two leads have the weakest acting in the whole series. Dunk's weak acting has been talked to death, but in my opinion his main issue is how stilted his performance feels - he needs to work on making it feel more natural. Joong is definitely better, but still nothing to write home about - whilst he is more of a natural, he needs to work on his range and bring more depth.

Aou and Boom are of course the shining light in this show, and not in it nearly enough. Their chemistry is so natural and they are very sweet together. The issues they faced in their relationship were quite moving, especially Boom's performance, but it was undercut by a half baked story arc.

Overall, I would say it's a pretty mindless watch - only bother putting this on if you want an easy show that you can half pay attention to.

shame about all the side stories

The main storyline is beautiful but all of the side stories are unnecessary, and I found myself skipping through so many of them.

Pete and Ae are such green flags and so sweet together, so I think it's a shame that time was wasted on a lot of weird and often problematic side stories, and they didn't get as good an ending as they deserved.

Can and Tin's story was the only enjoyable B plot for me, and if they'd paced it throughout the whole season rather than shove it all at the end, their story could've been developed more and it wouldn't need to be dragged over to a second season.

BadxVibes

Star Hunter Entertainment needs to quit making TV shows because everything they put out is mediocre at best.

Let's start with the story. The whole mythology/past lives aspect was very clunky and I think the show suffered as a result. I think the boss/intern dynamic was navigated pretty well in Salin and Sun's storyline so I wish they'd stuck to that instead.

The side couples were annoying at first and weren't adding much to the story, it felt like they had too many plates spinning. However, once their stories finally got going, they ended up being one of the better aspects of the show.

The acting was nothing to write home about, no one really impressed me or gave a memorable performance - although they weren't given much to work with in terms of the script.

The only standout in this show was the NC scenes - you can really feel MosBank's chemistry and trust in each other, and they were beautifully shot. Having said that, towards the end of the show these scenes started to feel gratuitous and didn't develop the characters any further.

If I had been binging this show instead of watching it as it aired I definitely wouldn't have made it to the end. Nothing in the show is especially terrible, but all the elements are so half baked that it feels draining to watch.

Cute but not much else

This is mostly cute and fluffy and ForceBook are very watchable, but there wasn't much else beyond that.

First off I feel like they got together way too quickly, I think it would have served them better to make it more of a slow burn. The way their relationship developed often seemed a bit directionless, which goes especially for the last two episodes which were honestly a waste of time.

I liked Cher's back story and especially his moments with Thup, but most of the time Cher seemed immature as a character and didn't learn to express his feelings. Gun's character lacked depth which is a shame, and it bothered me that he seemed to let his mum walk all over Cher and their relationship.

Despite my issues with the story, there are lots of sweet moments and it's a good pick if you want a light watch.
