romcom gone bad

To be perfectly honest, I loved this drama in the beginning. I would get so excited for each episode to air every week because I liked where it was going. It was cute and fluffy and extremely lighthearted. The problem came when the writer's seemed to think that they needed multiple subplots and extra drama for no reason in the latter part of the drama. The stalker plot was quite unnecessary as they did not go very far with it but my main concern is the ending.
Why in anyone's sane mind would you think it's okay to pretend to be dead for five years? And just return like nothing happened? I'm so sorry to say but if I was in Rara's position, I would have completely lost it when Jun showed up and not in a good way.

The writers were struggling with the story in the last few episodes, everything was on a steady decline from episode 14. I hate being left with questions at the end of a drama and that's exactly what I was left with from this. There was no proper explanation for Jun's "death" and reappearance.

On another note, the romance was beautiful, Jun was such a sweet boy. I loved all of their moments together, that was until the writers completely jacked up the plot. I will say the drama was very lighthearted and sweet, a very cute romance that I don't regret watching, I'm just very displeased with the way the writer's tied up the drama. The actors did a great job with this and the music was beautiful! OSTs and the piano playing as well! I loved Rara, Go Ara portrayed her so well and Lee Jae Wook was amazing as well. I'm excited to see more of his work!

All in all, this drama would have been a hit if the writers did not lose their way with the plot.
