A Twisted Tale of Power, Betrayal, and Shocking Character Evolutions
it started off slow but caught my attention within 20 minutes.
first of all, YERI!! she is meticulous with her work. her portrayal as BAEK JENA couldn’t have been done better by anyone else. she was a total b*tch in the first episode, but I was rooting for her, lmfao. baddie for real. I LOVE HER, I love her. she has this magnetic presence that makes you root for her, even when she's being ruthless. she completely owns the role, and I can’t imagine anyone else doing justice to it like she does.
kim hye in (fl), uhh, she was dumb asf at first, making the most nonsensical decisions, but the writers absolutely nailed her character development in the last two episodes. it’s almost like they were intentionally setting her up to frustrate us in the beginning, only to surprise us with her growth. I don’t know how she managed to top her tests and yet made the stupidest decisions in the early episodes. it was a bit hard to believe, but I guess they needed to show her transition from clueless to calculated.
no comments about do eun. that guy gives me the ick. I can tell he’s hiding something. he’s definitely no innocent, for all I can say.
SO MANG <333 i love him, he’s adorable. even though he had very little screen time, he stood out. I wish we had more of his character in season 2, hopefully exploring more of his backstory.
the mistress?? never expected her to be evil omg. that twist was crazy, and it made me feel so bad for jena. I totally get where she’s coming from now. she’s not just a villain; she’s someone who’s been deeply hurt.
i want to know more about yulhee. she’s so mysterious and interesting asf. they gave her just enough screen time to make us curious, but I need to know more.
si yeon is such a well-written character tbh. I hate her with a passion, but that’s what makes me respect the actress even more. she gave me weird vibes from the start, but I never imagined she would have instigated everything. her complexity makes me love how the writers built her. I’m dying to know more about her and jena’s shared history and why she acted the way she did.
and lastly, kim hye in, the root of all the causes. never in my life did I expect her to be evil as well. like what?????????? why would you do that? it completely flipped the narrative for me, and now I need season two even more.
SEASON TWO WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER I CAN NOT WAITTTTT.
