Light hearted without losing "Love Destiny's touch".

I'm not that great at writing reviews, but as Love Destiny (season 1) is my favorite and most rewatched lakorn yet, I felt like I had to give it a review from the point of view of someone who loves the franchise, the actors and mainly saw it for that reason.
Going into this I was expecting to find that Love Destiny touch that made me fall in love with season one, and despite the movie having very different feels from the series, i was still able to find that.
The movie is light hearted, it has many funny scenes which i appreciated, the costumes and production were amazing, and it had the right amount of mentions to their past lives.

First off I have to mention our two main character's personalities, for convenience i'll just call them bella and pope (the actors' names) because otherwise there'd be too many names to mention.
Pope's character in this one was refreshingly different from the series! He was very bright, definitely more modern, not only in the way he looks but specifically his demeanor, expressions, even the way he interacts with others seems new to me as opposed to the more stoic Pope that we've seen in season1, he knew what he wanted and went for it, he was super funny while maintaining his sweet/caring nature towards Bella, it was a nice change seeing him smile so often and it's definitely something that i would appreciate if it was incorporated into the actual sequel of love destiny (prom likit).
As for Bella's character, I'd say that a lot changed in her as well when compared to the series, for starters in this one she was a lady from the beginning of her life, she was accustomed to the ways of living of her time, and she didn't need anyone to guide her, as a result she looks much more confident and smart, but she has also maintained that curious nature that she has in the series.
I loved the new character, Methus, as well. They formed a nice trio and had a cute bond until the end, i liked how they worked together.
The time-travel plot was well structured, I enjoyed it quite a lot and by the end i was already very invested in it.

In general this movie is a great watch for anyone, but if you're like me and fell in love with the series first, then i'm sure you will at least enjoy this movie. Of course, you have to take into account that this isn't a follow up to what happened in the series, these are different lifetimes, a different period, so you should also see it with an open mind to the changes you'll notice.
Pope and Bella's chemistry is still the best in my opinion, and I felt super nostalgic when watching this, so I can't give it less than a 10.

A pleasant surpise!

As i decided to start writing reviews on here, i knew i HAD to start with Love Destiny. I loved it so so much. I've tried to watch historical dramas many times since I started watching dramas in 2012, but I realized they're just not for me and I struggle to get into it as opposed to modern-day dramas. That was until I decided to give Love Destiny a shot, and I don't regret it at all! Seen it 2 times already and it's rare for me to rewatch lakorns since the episodes are so long (which is the only reason I gave it a 9 for rewatch value, but if you're anything like me and you don't mind skipping ahead a lot when you rewatch something, then it's not going to be a problem to you). Bhuppae Sunniwat is funny, emotional, the plot is really good and for once I loved both main lead's personalities which is one of the rarest things, both of them had a sense of humor and the misunderstandings between the leads were for good reasons, it's not one of the typical "male lead hates female lead for no reason" trope. Not to mention the pra'ek (male lead)'s family, I managed to appreciate all of them by the end. Bella and Pope's chemistry is one of the best I've seen in a lakorn until now.

Even if you're not into lakorns or historical dramas in general, I think you would find Bhuppae Sunniwat interesting.

unexpectedly nice!

I started this lakorn with little to no expectations, quite frankly just because I try to watch every fake marriage trope drama out there. I was already familiar with both main leads, mainly with pooklook, but i have to say their performances did not disappoint! This drama was a nice change from aggressive male leads (often found in thai dramas) and silly female leads. I loved how the story developed, although it was quite predictable if you're familiar with fake marriage lakorn. Personally, more than the plot in itself i enjoyed this drama for the nice mood that it sets, it never gets too heavy, the main leads don't have weird and pointless misunderstandings used just to drag the story along, instead they communicate with each other well, they naturally form a bond and that i would say is personally my favorite thing about this lakorn. Their chemistry is great, there's many funny scenes as well, and the side characters are also memorable. If you like rom-coms that are not too heavy on the dramatic parts of it, and if you enjoy nice chemistry and a kind male lead who treats the female lead with care and respect this could be what you're looking for!

It's okay, not bad nor super good.

The plot is typical of a rom-com lakorn, it's not bad and the acting is great, but i just think it could've been much better with just a few changes here and there which is a pity.
First of all, story: i give it a 7 because it's one of my favorite plots in lakorns, and because it wasn't too heavy. I was in the mood for something light and easy to watch and this was exactly it. It had its fun moments, it didn't have too many misunderstandings between the main leads which i hate, and it had its cute moments too. I liked how their "hate" phase wasn't too long nor was it random like in other lakorns, they quickly decided to become friends while still bickering with each other which was a really cute dynamic. The villains weren't even that bad, they had their funny moments too and weren't obsessively annoying.
Now on to the parts that I didn't like about the story: i really couldn't understand why she decided to keep her identity a secret from him, especially when they started to get close and he opened up to her, she could've easily told him..it's not like her identity really had anything to do with him or that it would shock him, it was just a stupid secret to keep lol. Another thing i didn't really enjoy was the fact that there wasn't much skinship in this, i mean it's really common for lakorns to have no real kisses but there weren't even any fake ones in here, and I really don't get why in the first few episodes when he is presented as a playboy it shows him actually kissing with girls and then never shows the main couple kissing.. my only guess is that it's the female lead's choice not to, but still felt a bit disappointing.
Aside from that, i also felt like the male lead's indecisiveness in this came off as really frustrating, and his playboy tendencies were really bad. I'm glad that at least that got addressed in the show and he realized he was wrong for that.
As for the female lead, i appreciated her personality and how she always tried to be optimistic, although towards the end it got a bit annoying how stubborn she was.

Another thing that made little sense to me was how they portrayed one character as scheming and bad throughout the whole lakorn and at the end it turns out that he was actually good/genuine.. what was the reason?? D: it was just random, and just as random was the "second lead couple" if we can even call it that? like...why???

rewatch value and music is 4: the music wasn't really memorable, i don't even remember if there was any besides the intro tbh. while for rewatch value in my opinion it dragged a lot in the last few episodes, and for some reason the episodes got longer near the end? like they went from 40 minutes to 1 hour. It was just a lot, i was ready to see the ending by episode 20.

Overall it's an okay lakorn, not too intense nor dramatic, the plot is simple. the main leads do have chemistry, but i think it could've been explored more.
