I still liked it
I know, I know. Some parts of this series were...just not it. But I still felt that it still had some good aspects in this series. And I think that people are forgetting that this is the same company (Star Hunter Entertainment) that brought to us monstrosities like '2 brothers', 'Gen Y' Seasons 1 AND 2 and 'Hotel Stars'. They also bought us little gems that had potential to be big like 'My Mate Match,' 'What Zabb Man' and my personal fave from the 'Big Dragon.'
Now, as I have gotten that off of my chest, I must say that SunsetxVibes had some flaws. But it shined in other aspects. I loved the chemistry between Mos and Bank's characters (which we can see throughout the series but especially in episodes 11 and 12) as well as the storyline around them and their blossoming relationship and how it even led to us audience meeting Salin's family members and seeing their interactions with one another, and I believe that they did a stellar job. And the series also gets some positive aspect from me as they brought back the masterpiece OST 'Dancing With The Devil' which was used in 'Big Dragon' in episode 12. I also loved the interaction between the side male couple (Sam and Yotha). Their bickering with each other and how their relationship progressed throughout the series made me happy watching them each week (and let's not talk about their NC scene in episode 11!). And of course, I adore my little bit of comedic dosage from Chan and Juldis in this series.
What I didn't like, and I don't know if it was included in the book, is the supernatural aspect. It did nothing for me. I guess it wasn't written/ explained well for the point to come across to me. I actually felt that if it was not included, this series would have been better.
I am glad that i did give it a watch and no one can convince me that Mos and Bank does not have chemistry, because they do and it was shown vastly in this series.
