So actually, I am a big fan of Kang Dong Won ever since he did Temptation of Wolves.. I've been a rampage over him and cried like crazy over most of his movies. One day, I was browsing on his movie list and came upon this movie. M? What is that.. I don't really remember what it meant in the movie nor really remember anything about it that much. I watched this movie quite a long time ago, just decided to do a review now just because I read tiitek's review for the movie. Well that's the background of my love for kang dong won, history of why I started the movie, and also why I am doing this review. Here we go:
Story: 8/10
Though I have forgotten some part of movie, I remember clearly the atmosphere and the mood of the movie. It was an amazing experience. The confusion and suspense, everything making you wondering what the heck is going on.. It was like we were in the main character's point of view and I think that whatever the director was trying to do worked for me but not for some others. As the story goes on, we get a glimpse of the main character's past and how he starts remembering some of the people of the past.. and that certain person keeps on clashing into his future self. We get some moments in the past and it is just the most innocent and cute thing that you actually feel that you are watching a different movie.
Acting: 7/10
They did quite a great job on this, I thought.. Especially Kang Dong Won, he looked quite old in this movie and was spectacular. Though it felt that the girl(s) roles in here weren't as important in here though. Gong Hyo Jin's role in here was pretty useless, I thought. It would have made no difference if she wasn't here. Also, Lim Yeon Hee, did an okay job on being a "first love".
Music:7/10
The music in here was alright, wasn't the greatest nor the worst. It came perfect timing on creating the atmosphere.
Rewatch Value: 2/10
This is a movie that you watch once and wouldn't watch it again. Not because it's that terrible, but that I personally "feel" that it's a one watch time thing.
Overall: 7/10
Seeya.
