I found this drama in a forum post and finished it in a couple days. The original story was fantastic! There was so much going on and a lot of interconnected pieces to follow in the plot. Sadly, I was stuck with a lot of what-ifs when all was said and done. It seems the real problem was that the writers were too ambitious. They tried to cram in all sorts of story arcs and side plots, but there wasn't enough time to develop them all. I read that it was supposed to have around 50 episodes initially, but it ended up with just 26. A little more story editing would've helped to condense and tighten up the plot. Still, except for excessive time skips, they did a decent job with the time they had.

It's too bad the episodes were cut because the actors did a great job. Bae Soo Bin, especially, was amazing and gave his character plenty of depth and complexity. The three sisters were all rather unlikable, which was a big flaw in a story that revolves around them. For example, we're supposed to sympathize with the eldest sister being mistreated by her mother-in-law, but she comes across as a doormat. Who can sympathize with that? Some of the secondary characters, like Secretary Goo and the interior designer, were more interesting than the sisters. Woon Tak was the best character, hands down, and I would've loved an entire drama dedicated just to his relationship and obsession with the eldest sister.

Technical aspects were hit or miss. Wardrobe was fine but nothing special. Music was either great for the eldest sister's story arc or terrible for the youngest's, and the difference when switching scenes was jarring. Makeup and special effects were pretty good, and pyrotechnics should give themselves a pat on the back. However, cinematography needed a little help. Outdoor scenes were shot well, but those tight closeups EVERY SINGLE TIME something shocking happened just made me laugh.

Overall, I liked this drama, but I really wish the writers had had more time to really develop the story as it seems they had initially planned. It could have been so much better.
