This film shows an interesting perspective of the 1980s and the conflict between western influence and Korean traditions. A slightly disturbing film due to the blame being placed upon the women for her choices and the consequences. Westerners are definitely shown as the evil in this film, however you have to take in perspective of when this film was made and the influences at the time. It took me a while to fully grasp who was who and their role in the story, however once I had my head wrapped round it, there were many different layers and viewpoints. Amazing acting and an interesting watch.
