had everything to go right but it didn’t
I was honestly so freaking ready to absolutely love this drama that it came as a HUGE let down the way things started to develop around episode 5…The authors said this was supposed to be a healing drama, but from the cast, that counts with a main lead with a history of sexual assault, to the frustrating romance and lacking of proper conclusion to the main lead’s mental disorder, this was truly a failure.
The drama started off great, with Shin Hye Sun truly shinning with her acting and the narrative that felt just so good, however, that fulfilling feeling didn’t last for long.
The author was determined to push a couple on us that just wasn’t it. Rather than love, I think that what Hyun-oh felt for Eun-ho was closer to obsession, while Joo-yeon truly came to love and accept her along the way, which lead me to truly root for them, holding on to straws, hoping the screenwriter would see the light and go with what made more sense rather than what she had planned for the story at first… what a dumb ambition on my part.
Honestly, everything they showed us about Hyun-oh to justify his actions just made me dislike him even more. He was truly a man child who couldn’t communicate with the woman he claimed to love, although I can’t really call it love when he was so willing to let go of her hand without ever truly explaining to her his reasoning, simply letting go of an 8 years long relationship with a “let’s breakup, hope you’ll be well”, because she wanted to marry and he didn’t. And while that’s understandable, it’s also maddening, because he never gave her the choice to stay or explained why he didn’t want to marry in the first place.
Moving on, we had the relationship between Joo-yeon and Hyeri (Eun-ho’s second personality), and although there was a frustrating moment when he found out about her disorder, it was understandable, and he later came to terms with it, choosing to love Eun-ho because no matter what, Hyeri was a part of her. And while he was worried about her well being and looking out for her, Hyun-ho got stuck on the part that they both were dating, and be damned that she had a mental disorder ‘caused by such grief and pain… Honestly, what a horrible main lead if I might say so.
And after all that, there wasn’t really a proper conclusion to the Hyeri thing, because she simply disappears at some point without an explanation and never comes back, even when Eun-ho goes through some great distress, where she should’ve resurfaced in full force, but didn’t, and my best guess for that it’s because of the few episodes they had to put a conclusion to things.
As a psychologist myself, I was greatly disappointed in that, honestly, although I guess I was expecting too much of this having Kill Me, Heal Me as a reference when it comes to a drama addressing dissociative personality disorder.
Eitherway, this drama had the potential to be one of the best dramas of this year, honestly, but in the end it had a frustrating ending, about timing for love and stuff (which I didn’t buy, because Hyun-oh only woke up to life because Eun-ho started to show interest in someone else and his obsession kicked in), and never really gave proper closure to the one thing that the drama rotated around, going so far as naming it over this…
If you are thinking about watching it, truly don’t, but if you still want to go ahead and give it a try, do so with low expectations, because this one won’t live up to it.

a breath o fresh air, although a bit of a let down
I must say that I didn't start this drama with high expectations and almost dropped it because their outfits looked just so tacky and simply awful, but in the end, I decided to trust the reviews and pushed forward, and I'm really glad I did! This was obviously a low-budget drama, and it's evident throughout the show, however, don't let the tacky outfits and really bad CGs put you off because it's really worth it.
FL and ML have great chemistry and although some aspects of the drama annoyed me off at first - like whenever Qu Tan'er's personality came through, and I couldn't help but wish her dead 'cause she was so bland, however, as time went by I came to really emphasize with her and wish for her happiness as well, that to say that even the parts that turned me off a little at first, made a full turn around and conquered me at some point.
The story here it's truly engaging and there are so many cute moments full of fluff between the main couple that I was fully satisfied.
However... the ending truly was a bit of a let-down, from episode 20 on forth, I didn't enjoy it as much and actually skipped some parts here and there. Here's the thing, the CG on this drama it's truly horrible and because of >reasons< FL and ML end up in the spiritual world with a whole new set of drama to deal with and which I didn't appreciate at all. Out of the blue we are hit with an amnesia plot and honestly, what for? I don't know, but then, the next 4 episodes are about this memory loss, ML injuring himself even further to recover said memories, and then we're trying to recover his health, because well, he is dying now. Honestly? I didn't think it was necessary, and specially so the actual ending. FL goes back to the modern world and ML goes with her, but honestly speaking? It would've been so much more satisfying if they had gone back to the world where they met, and their freaking son!!!! Which they seem to completely forget about by the end... Seriously, I can't help but feel frustrated at this part of the drama, because I would be completely devastated if after going through all that I still couldn't be able to go back to my child's side and raise them alongside the man I love... like??? Seriously??? It was better for them to go to her world and start it all over again, than to go back to the life they had already built together?? I don't think so, but ok.
But in the end, I must still agree it was a really nice drama and I loved it, I just could really make do without all the meaningless drama in the end.

It was fun till it wasn't
Disclaimer: this review is kinda all over the placeThis drama has a nice premise, and it was a really fun watch... till we got to the later half of it.
I can't possibly express into words my utter frustration and anger at how things started to develop. I really feel like the drama in the later episodes was really unnecessary.
It was so damn frustrating seeing FL go after him while he rejected and humiliated her. Her cheerful personality was cute at first, but became really annoying at some point. Honestly, I would never pin for a dude who treated me like that, and although the drama tried to make it look sweet - how they overcame all the obstacles in their romance and got back together in the end - it just didn't stick. For God's sake, she had to be hit by a freaking car while saving him for him to wake up to life and admit his feelings once again! I just can't swallow this ending, I would be much happier if she had moved on and found someone else while he drowned himself in regret. ML was so frustrating with the way he went about things and trying to protect her or whatever bullsh*t excuse he may use to justify his actions, that I can't even. FL wasn't much better, as we say in Portuguese, she had ten pink drags and used all of them to clean up after his mess, while pretending all was perfect, although it obviously wasn't!!! UGH.
But if you are fine with that kind of troupe - FL running after ML while he pretends not to give a f*ck about her, hurting her feelings time and time again as she humiliates herself for a man who isn't all that - go for it. The earlier half of this drama it's okayish, although FL's personality did get on my nerves sometimes. Her strained relationship with her sister was 100% understandable, and I hated how the sister was made into a villain of sorts, when FL had her blame in the way things turned out. Her cheerful and bright personality, crying for anything, did damage her relationship with her sister and it was totally understandable. Why the sister became a villain because of that??? I really can't understand, but whatever.

a great drama with a bit of a frustrating end
Honestly, I came into this drama REALLY excited, since it has everything I use to love when reading webtoons, so I felt like I found the Holy Grail when I saw this drama that was just like 70% of all the webtoons/mangas I read lolAnd I’m glad to say that, despite the ending being a little frustrating and not exactly what I wanted or expected, this drama didn’t disappoint.
I loved the visual effects and the wardrobe of this show which was just on point and everything we expect when it comes to Wu Xia dramas. The soundtrack was also perfect in every moment and I even add the OST of the show to my playlist (that’s a first tbh).
Moving on, I loved the romance on this show! Both from them main couple, but also the secondary one. I loved how each couple had different struggles to deal with while trying to be together and how we get both: a friends to lovers AND an enemies to lovers here.
I’m not really a huge fan of Esther Yu, since I feel like most of her roles are too cutely for my taste, but I came to truly love her in this drama, seeing how much of a great actress she is, specially by the end, when she portrays different characters that share the same face and you can completely see the change happening between them and how none of the three are the same.
I also have a MAJOR crush on Ding Yu Xi now. The man is just… AAAAA I can’t even put it into words, but he’s just captivating and I loved every bit of him on this show.
Overall, I just want to say this is a great show and totally worth the watch, and although the end may be a bit frustrating it’s not like we, drama lovers, aren’t used to that.

a huge let down
Honestly, I had some expectations for this drama, but was such a draaaag. There was so much cringe Idek, seriously. This drama was pure torture and the only way I managed to get to the end of it was lots of skipping and fast-forward, and even like that, it was a struggle to not give up entirely.
The characters didn't have much chemistry, the second male lead was annoying af, every time he showed up, my blood pressure raised, because what an entitled guy, ugh! The secondary couple was also terrible, they really had no chemistry at all or whatsoever.
The story had no clear plot or major developments, it was an annoyance that it took 15 freaking chapter for the FL to admit to the ML she was the girl he had been talking to online and till now, I still can't figure out why the hell she wanted to keep that secret so bad when he obviously knew it already.
Anyway, if you really have nothing, but like NOTHING, better to do, be my guest to waist your time like I did mine while watching it. At least it has some cute scenes along the way, although if it's a sweet romance woth lots of cute scenes, You are My Glory it's a waaaay better choice.
P.S.: OMG! I need to comment on that, but what the hell was that masked dancing scene?????? Cringe af and quite lame as well, I srly couldn't take it.
P.S.2: rewatch value it's pretty much 0, but we have to give it a rating of at least 1, so yeah.

not exactly my cup of tea, but enjoyable all the same
I came to this drama after finishing Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, excited to see Esther Yu and Ding Yu Xi together again, however, I found that Esther’s characters just ain’t for me.I guess LGIEF was an exception for me since the plot had everything I liked, but on this one, I found myself getting put off my Esther’s overly cute acting yet again. Both main characters come off as quite childish in this drama.
It ain’t that the acting was bad, but just not my cup of tea. Zhou Chuan’s antics were just so… childish is the only word I can use, really. He was a grown ass man who bullied the girl he liked, for lack of tact on how to treat her properly and, as I woman myself, I honestly can’t see how she chose him instead of the second male lead, who was more affectionate and direct in his intentions and a lot more attractive for that. Still, the chemistry between Esther Yu and Ding Yu Xi is undeniable, as annoying as their characters were to me, the both of them still look insanely good together (the kissing scenes were are little lacking tho, the secondary couple delivered a much better job at that).
On the other hand, the story of the drama was great, about dreams and supporting/going after one’s goals and hopes, and I loved that, which makes me think this is an enjoyable drama.
Also, as childish as the main couple were, the secondary one is a lot more mature with adult drama in their lives, looking more like adults in love than a couple of cute teenagers like the mains couple did to me.
If you’re bored or like Esther’s acting, do check the one out, since it’s a nice enough drama, however, I wouldn’t consider it a must watch, it’s just nice enough.

a truly healing and heartwarming romance
"I healed the wounds of his youth and he fulfilled my young first love."This drama was such a sweet surprise for me. I confess I wasn't expecting much of it and as we say in portuguese: this show promised nothing and delivered everything.
There are such great points to talk about here that I don't even know where to start... The screenplay for this drama was perfect, the cast, the ost, the acting, the friendships, the chemistry... everything was perfection and there's no other word to describe it.
It was truly a healing romance and I loved every second of it, from her young first love, where she had a crush on him when she was younger, to when they meet again as adults and he starts to fall for the little things about her.
Their relationships with the people around them were also great, I truly loved seeing Zhi grow and find some real friends and the tragic first best friend of hers we are introduced to at the start of the show. There was also some drama along they way and things that could've easily brought misunderstandings among the main couple, but in the end, I loved how they always made things clear, allowing no wedges to come between them.
This is the first time I give a drama a 10/10 in rewatch value and that's just how good this was. I would rewatch it a thousand times all over again, just to seem them slowly falling for each other once again.
Jia Xu was also such a great guy, I loved how forward he was in persuing her and making himself clear about it, knowing she would probably feel insecure at first.
Anyways, it's a beautiful story about love, friendships, family and youth. I loved this and truly recommend it to anyone, because if you don't like this drama... well the problem it's probably you lol

this drama delivered EVERYTHING
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much going into this drama, choosing to watch it solemnly because Park Shin Hye was in it, and OMG if it didn’t deliver everything I was hoping for and then some.It was such a satisfying watch from beginning to end that I can’t quite put it into words. The romance was perfectly articulated, and the chemistry between the characters was insane. Shin Hye was also the perfect badass demon/judge and I just loved to see her in this hole.
I only have praises for this drama and if I must pick one thing that let me down a little bit was the whole mystery of what happened to Kang Bit Na’s soul. Like, why was she in hell? What sin did she commit? And did they ever find her soul in the end? Idk… maybe I skipped through it? Maybe lol but I don’t think so, because this drama really had me hanging on the edge of my seat at every second, and I couldn’t miss a second of it for fear of missing out on something huge.
I loved the amount of violence we got as well, which I must say I wasn’t expecting considering this was a Korean drama and most of the time they censure stuff or just allude to it (at least when we’re talking about dramas that are broadcasted on TV, and are not a Netflix production or something like that).
Eitherway, it’s a drama I highly recommend if you want some mystery, with satisfying fights and criminals being properly punished, with a side of some really well developed romance.

a simple and fulfilling drama
I'm writing this review after rewatching this drama and I had forgotten how much I loved it.The story is quite simple and a troupe that, if you are used to reading manhwas, you'll have seen a couple times, however, it's still great. Lighthearted and funny with a couple serious and emotional moments that just add to it.
Rowoon's acting here wasn't that great yet, but his character is simple and he has great chemistry with Hye Yoon, although I'm conviced my daughter would have chemistry even with a rock if she wanted to.
Eitherway, this drama is a nice watch, and no-brainer that's totally worth it.
If you've watched and liked lovely runner, you'll probably like this one as well since Hye Yoon's character seems familiar in a way, both dramas have some similar plot lines, like the subtle suspense, two time-lines (although here they'renot simultaneous or affect each other) and of course, the romance! Hye Yoon's character is also just as lively, funny and cute.
To wrap it up, if you're wandering about watching it or not, please do, it might not be the best drama you'll see in your life, but it's surely worth it.

not my cup of tea
This drama was simply kind of bland for me. The story was ok, nothing wow about it, so it was enjoyable overall, however, it was still annoying at times and the acting felt kinda forced at moments, which didn't make me engange as much. The romance was alright although the main couple didn't have that much chemistry in my opinion. They looked good together, thats for sure, but it was just missing something... Now, truly, the kid who was cast as their child had some terrible acting, but it happens, he is a kid so I'm letting it go, still, as much of a bad actor he was, I wish he showed up some more.
Oh, there it goes another aspect I didn't like so much. So goes away for 6 years and then comes back and they didn't really give any focus on that or how the absence of a parent that suddenly makes a come back may impact a child, the boy simply understood everything and doted on her and that was it. But whatever, as I mentioned, it isn't a great drama, still, it's an alright watch when you have some free time to spare.

a plot driven drama with some crumbs of romance
Dispite what you've might guess from the title of this review, I LOVED this drama.I'm usually a sucker for romance and, if a drama doesn't give me what I expect it to give on this regard, I don't really like it... as for this one, I'm glad to say it was a plesant surprise.
I must confesse I did fastforward in some moments, since I'm anxious and I couldn't take it, however, this drama was great.
I loved the premise of the story, the acting was superb and the photography as well as the figurines were on point.
Honestly, aside from this drama feeding you basically crumbs of a romance, there's nothing else to criticize about it - and even in this I don't dsre criticize because the chemistry between the leads was so damn real and intoxicating.
I waited 34 episodes for their first kiss, was mad as hell with the camera for slipping away in the edition and not properly showing it, but it was more about frustation than anything else lol
Ou first (and only) proper kiss, is on the last episode, still, I wasn't mad with it, because it was so damn satisfying.
I must confess the ending made me a little mad. It was completely perfect till around halfway through it, than things started to go south, still, the extra episode, which has only 5min, kind of made up for a little bit of it, so it's fine.
Eitherway, this series surely deserves more recognition and love, because the actors are AMAZING and the plot is new and full of plot-twists you don't quite expect and are sure to keep you hooked.
10 out of 10, must watch.

A really sweet and dramaless drama
It's been a while since I last watched a show so thoroughly, without feeling tempted to skip through some scenes to avoid the common misunderstandings and drama. This story It's truly dramaless and simple. The main couple is really sweet and cute, and their relationship starts really early on in the show, around ep 9, although we do take some time till there's actual progress between these two.
I would say this is a really slow burn romance, becausr even tho they start dating quite early into the story, they do take their time to get to know each other and fall truly in love while on a relationship already.
I'm glad to say this drama has no second bitchy female lead to stir up so drama... honestly, there's nothing at all and I guess that's why I did give it a 10/10 review.
Although the story is really enjoyed and pleasing to watch, it does feel a little bland at times.
The fact that this was a slow burn did frustrate me a little, I mean, they take around 17 episodes to hold hands, 19 to share their first kiss and then 30 episodes to share a kiss that lasts more the 3 seconds. The first forehead/goodbye kiss was on episode 31.... I thought their progress was a little too slow at time, although it was exciting nonetheless and they did get more affectionate by the end of the show (between episodes 29 and 33).
All in all, it's a really nice show to watch, get excited, feel bad about being single and just freak out at the little things lol I wouldn't rewatch it tho, but then again, I'm not really one to usually rewatch things.

This drama is perfection
This one was my first Chinese drama, and it's been a while since I watched it, so my memory is a bit muddled, so I don't remember it perfectly. However, I do remember how this was such a good watch! Srly, the chemistry between the leads was off the charts. The story it's also really engaging and sweet. Everything about this drama is perfection, I love it to bits and it's seriously a must-watch.
If you are looking for a really nice, light and fun watch, do check this one out, you're not gonna regret it!

this drama was an unexpected gem
Honestly, this onr had been sitting on my watch list for a while, but I had been holding off on watching it because it didn't seem that exciting, I guess? But what a regret! This drama was simply perfect, the main couple it's just so perfect and cute I can't with them!!! And besides them, we also have 2 secondary couples which are also perfect.
There were some frustrating moments at times, especially some added drama with the introduction of 2 new characters by the end of the drama (they appear around ep 38? if I'm not mistaken), and honestly, that's the only reason I won't give this drama a 10 out of 10, because this 2 characters drove me INSANE. I won't go into spoilers, but I would have felt better if they didn't exist in the story. I was glad things would never go their way, however, the still annoyed the hell out of me and I was so engaged on the show that it strained me a bit to watch their shannenigans lol
Over all, this drama is great and truly a must watch!
