it started great but

on the first 8 eps, i was in love with the storyline and the main couple, but when they got together it became soooo boring

they lost all the chemistry they had and the development of the murder was poorly written. 12 eps would be enough to develop well the story and the couple, but it wasn’t, it was more 8 eps with pure boredom ??

seriously, i watched the last 2 eps in 2X speed and finished the draw because of syaon and chi hoon

i am rlly mad because i love hwang minhyun’s acting and got sooo happy that he was finally a male lead, but he choose the wrong project tbh?

wasted potential

Cheer up had so much potential, but is ruined by a non-sense love triangle and an awful plot.

When I watched Cheer up's first episodes, I feel in love with the characters and the mystery that envolves the theia squad, but when the episodes were passing by, it got terrible.

First the love triangle that they pushed until the last minute and it was one of the main reasons for reducing my evaluation. The SL was so freaking annoying. Even if the female lead rejected him loads of times, he continued to insist. HE KISSED HER WHEN SHE WAS DRUNK, THERE'S NOTHING WORSE THAN THAT. There were bunch of scenes that the FL looked more like a SL than the actual SL :(. I'm so happy that the SL is going to spend his whole life alone because i hate him sm. Plus, this actor is so good, I'm really looking foward to see a drama with him as the FL, because his acting is so amazing.

Second, the plot. It started so good, with the mystery of the three profecies, but then it got annoying as hell. That guy was actually total stalker obsessed with rules and so freaking annoying, hate him sm. They actually didn't explain if he was caught, but I believe yes, thanks to God. Plus, I actually missed a good plot twist, I wasn't even that interested in the story anymore.

But now the good things, because it wasn't THAT bad. The main couple had bunch of chemestry and all of their scenes made me blush hard. I cringed sometimes, but even that I loved about them, how they were so sweet with each other and happy with the little things, all that mattered was to be together.

My actually favorite part was the secondary couples, they were all so cute and had bunch of chemestry (especially minjae and sunja).

And the squad. I loved the family aspect of them and how they really cared for each other. I simply LOVE a found family trope.

But even with this AWESOME aspects, cheer up was brutally ruined by a terrible plot and an unnecessary love triangle. Inhyuk, please never work with SBS another time :(

the best thing i ever did was watching this on my youth

How can I start? This drama was extraordinary! The characters, the ost's, the plot, the couples, the comedic timing, the acting, everything was on point!! I wasn't expecting it to be so good and become my all time favorite.

Starting with the characters, I fell in love with every single one.
Eungyeol was extremely relatable, the burden he was carrying in such a young age made me understand every attitude he had on the show. I think Ryeoun's amazing performance made me love his character even more (I related to him SO MUCH in various times)
Yichan was amazing too. Even though he was first shown to us as a boy with a bubbly personality, we also got to know, later on the show, how much suffer he went to, with the absence and the lost of his hearing in the last episode. Choi hyunwook's performance was extraordinary too, he really incorporated the essence of the character.
Cheongah was a girl really broken inside and by far my favorite character on the show! I loved her storyline and how she was healed by having people on her side that loved and accepted her the way she was. Also loved how they managed to make her relationship with her father be fixed on the future. Shin Eunsoo is a great actress and this was really shown in this drama, the amount of emotion she gave in some scenes without having a single line was insane.
Also loved Eunyu, I have no idea why people hated her. She was just a teen with mental health issues, she went through a lot and didn't know how her action could affect anyone else. Like eungyeol, she was thinking about her mom (in his case his parents) happiness.

The plot was on point, even though i missed somethings on the finale like cheongah finding out about yichan's accident, the fact that she was probably leaving for studying abroad, how mister viva was the master, everyone meeting eunyu in the future, but the drama is so good that you actually ignore this things. Since i'm in my teenage years rn, I think this drama was targeted for me. Watching this on my youth was literally the best ting ever, the message was even deeper for me. The lessons that I will take for my life from now on because of this drama are countless.

The couple were fantastic too and with an insane chemistry, specially cheongah and yichan. These two were the reason I was excited for mondays and tuesdays and begging for more scenes of them. Seriously, I need Choi Hyunwook and Shin Eunsoo in another drama together for them to show all the potencial of their chemistry. I also liked Eungyeol and Eunyu too, they fit together so well and Seol Inah and Ryeoun also have some decent chemistry together.

The acting I already talked a bit about, but I have to enphasize that every single actor was on point. Ryeoun's and Shin Eunsoo's acting made me emotional, Choi Hyunwook's way of incorporating the character was pheonomenal and the versality of Seol Inah's acting was amazing too, I could feel that Choi Sekyeong and On Eunyu were completely different characters.

All I have to say to end this review is thank you twinkling watermelon for the lessons you gave me and the amazing message that touched my heart, specially being a teenager right now. I don't think any other drama will be better and more emotional and relatable than this for me, because it was really emotional and targeted to me because of the phase I am right now.

Finally finished this drama and I loved it so much.

The main characters have so much chemistry and I loved their story.

The FL was an awesome character, she was understanding, caring and likeable, my favorite character by far.

Loved the ML too, his character had a really cool backstory and was well developed.

Their chemistry was undeniable and THEY WERE SO HEALTHY??? Loved this.

But, even if I loved the kdrama as a whole, there were some negative points.

First, I hated that her “”brother”” liked her. I know that they weren’t related by blood, but it annoyed me while watching it. Take God he wasn’t the one for her and ended up with Hyojin (and I loved that, even if I prefere him with Dain).

Other thing is the 2 last eps. If it finished on ep 14, it would totally become one of my favorites, but that storyline from ep 15 did not make any sense. The woman is with him for like a month and DOESNT TRY TO FIND HIS MOTHER??? Like what the hell, and the thing about her brother who died and she forgot abou him, ugh hated it.

But in general, it was a great drama and I loved the leads so it is totally a 9/10 :)

To be honest, I cried a lot, I COUDN’T STOP CRYING IN THE LAST EP. I hated that the writers killed cheongsan, but I still have some hope for him to come back in s2. I really loved the characters specially namra, cheongsan, mijin and suhyeok AND OBVIOUSLY MY FAVORITE COUPLE WAS ONJO AND CHEONGSAN, I CRIED SO MUCH FOR THEM ??? but yeah i loved all of us are dead sm and it’s so worth watching it?

BEST ROMCOM

I LOVED THIS DRAMA SO MUCH!! The characters, the ship, the acting and the story,! It was all amazing.

I'm so in love with bokjoo and joonhyung. My otp ship together with manchan from htdl.

Honestly, wfkbj is my new fav romcom drama. It was funny and had character development. The only part that I disliked a little bit was when bokjoo was crushing on jaeyi but I'm happy he got his happy ending with ahyoung. I shipped them so much! Other couple that I shipped too was Seonok and Taekwon. I didn't expect to love them but here we are. Wish I could've seen more of them! They had a lot of chemestry and it was only shown on the last 3 episodes I think? Now about the main couple. Like I said, they are one of my faves now and I loved them so much. I loved how it is shown that the girl cares a lot about him too! The jealous part of both of them was hilarious and cute. They had bunch of chemestry and development too.

I loved that Joonhyung and bokjoo's father got rlly close in the last ep. In business proposal, it wasn't shown that growth between the relationship of hari and taemoo's grandpa, but in wfkbj was different. The progress was there and u could see it how joonhyung wanted to have a good relationship with him.

Now the characters. Joonhyung is obviously my fave. He is the best boy seriously! How he cares about bokjoo and how he is a good man is revealed to us through the episodes. I loved bokjoo too and her friends too. Their friendship was really special and wholesome to see growing.

Now I just have to thanks wfkbj for this wild ride. I will mis thiss drama forever.

I’m in love with the characters

SUCH A GOOD DRAMA!!! i loved it so much damn! the fact that was always new cases in the episodes it didin’t get boring and tiring like law school did to me! I’ve fallen in love with the characters and the hole younwoo and junho relationship. Now, they are one of my fav ships in history of kdramas! I just wanted more scenes in the episodes of them, because i love these two so much. AND THE ACTING???? 11/10!!! Eun-Bin is SO SO amazing, my fav actress so far! She carried the show with her acting. One thing i didn’t like it: minwoo. He didn’t have any backstory for understanding what he did, but instead of him paying for his acts, he gets sunshine SUYEON????? He doesn’t deserve her. But overall, i loved this kdrama so much and I’m so excited for season 2 in 2024!!!!
