I watched this many years ago, and it is quite outdated by today's standards. However, it was one of my first K dramas, so I won't be too harsh about it.
In itself, the story is good for what it was at the time. I think it could be done much better with today's technical advances, but it was quite a story at the time. I thought the supporting actors, namely, Ryu Si Won, could have developed his character more, expressed his emotions more; there was some crying involved in most episodes and some of the actions could have been less stereotypical, but it was an OK drama for the era it was produced.
Most of the actors/actresses have improved their performances since then, so this was a satisfactory attempt. You could spend some time on this if you really have nothing to do on a long vacation, if not, try watching something else.
