Do not watch this drama if you hate abusive male characters like me.
The ML is verbally abusive to FL for over 3 years. However, he has character growth and they pass it off as “he was protecting her in his own way.” It was abuse. While I think his character growth is somewhat plausible, the way they gloss over how horrible he was to her is sickening. Then enters the guy who ACTUALLY hits her. The physical hitting is passed off as past trauma that he hasn’t moved on from and everyone wants her to dump him. But the verbal abuse from the ML is justified?! Seriously? The drama doesn’t have the ML take the blame. It makes excuses for him. His character could have been humanized in a better manner instead of all of those excuses.
It's just sad that dramas justify that men can be be assholes if they are sad/hurt but a woman doing the same things will be villianized despite any character growth. There should be no excuse for abuse either physical or verbal.
The FL was great. I just didn’t like what they did with her character when she rescued the ex boyfriend by encouraging him to become his former good self. The FL really hard carried the drama. Zero rewatch value since the side plots are also very bland apart from the main story.
