action packed, heartwarming, funny, and complete.
i absolutely adored bad and crazy. at first, you really don't know what's going on. this helmet guy shows up, and you're left scratching your head. they slowly reveal his identity, culminating in the introduction of K, a wide-grinned, mischievous, chaotic, but morally just guy. eventually, you realize su-yeol actually has dissociative identity disorder, and K was created at some point in his life for some purpose. the gradual revelation of who K is, why he's here, and what he wants to do is nothing short of a work of art.both actors, lee dong-wook (su-yeol) and wi ha-joon (K) play their halves of this bad and crazy coin masterfully. su-yeol, the capable but "bad boy" cop, and K, the crazy but justice-hungry action hero, start out butting heads, especially on su-yeol's end of things. he doesn't know who this crazy guy is, but it seems like he's just trying to ruin his life! over time, however, su-yeol realizes how much he needs K. when su-yeol is beaten down and unable to have the confidence in himself to get back up, K comes out, turning the tables in any situation with confidence and style.
the fight scenes. everything from the sounds of the hits, the camera angles, the special effects, and the choreography is absolutely incredible. the fight scenes were riveting and dramatic. i pumped my fist in excitement more than once in this show, and i very rarely do that.
the music. the music of this series, like many kdramas these days, is fantastic. it's energetic and fits every scene perfectly.
the emotion. although this show has an overall tone of comedy and the expectation of action, there are many heartwarming moments that brought me to tears. the relationship between su-yeol and K is beautiful, watching su-yeol learn to accept and love himself is the true journey of this show.
the characters. aside from su-yeol and K, the other characters were excellent. i especially liked su-yeol's shrink. character development is done well where it's necessary, and su-yeol's was especially excellent, with K being the main catalyst for that development. K is a FUN character. his appearance is associated with cool or bad*ss things happening, and he himself is very cool and stylish. i really liked him, and he was utilized well in every single scene.
at the end of the day, this show was a 10 for me in all aspects. there wasn't a single minute when i wasn't invested in the story and the characters.

a story about friendship.
this series is a beautiful story about friendship. it's about facing struggles and leaning on one another when the going gets tough. i love ALL of the characters, and they're developed in a clear and senseful way. this show takes place mostly in a prison, but it reminds you that all of the people in a prison are indeed people. with their good sides, their bad sides, and their crazy sides. the ML is just incredible, his personality blossoms and grows throughout the series like a flower as he's faced with adversity and has the trajectory of his life hit by an asteroid. characters you started out hating, you'll grow to love, understand, and root for. watch it now.Was this review helpful to you?
