Not worth to watch unless you're a die hard Zhao Lusi fans

This seems to me like a low budget xianxia production. The CGI is meh, story plot is easy to predict, and character background story didn't match with how they portray it in the drama. As some of us know already, this story is a sequel of Ancient Love Poetry, which tell the journey and tribulation of Shanggu and Baijue's son, Dijun/Yuan Qi, with the phoenix queen Feng Yin. If you already watch Ancient Love Poetry like me, you will be disappointed of many things have changed in The Last Immortal. And so many downgrades. In Ancient Love Poetry (ALP), even the supporting roles are very strong with their acting and how consistent they bring their characters on screen. Don't expect that In The Last Immortal.

Unless you are a diehard Zhao Lusi fans, this xianxia isn't worth to watch.

Good cast, bad story... A waste of potential.

The main selling point in this drama is on Bailu and Dylan Wang's fame.

The story is poorly written, I can't believe we still seeing a female lead so dumb, so childish, so annoying, and so clingy from start till the end -- and a CEO who blindly in love with all of her antique. That also didn't fit with their character background story. Zheng Shu Yi supposed to be a smart and successful female reporter, but none of her action nor her words in this drama showing how smart she is. Can she be more sensible, please? FYI, yeah I know the actor and actress were only following the script. Thus, I blame all these to the production team!

The romantic scenes in the last 4-5 episodes kinda okay, with hot kisses and hot bed scenes, but that's it. Unnecessary quarrel and misunderstanding dominated the 30 episodes, and its really tiring to see even though I like both ML and FL. Perhaps, this series might be better if they made it into only 24 episodes, not 36. I hope Dylan Wang and Bailu will be more selective in choosing their next project.

A complete package! Absolutely masterpiece

The title of this drama really describe the story. A lot of life lesson about how you should embrace life, self acceptance, and be more compassionate about others and your surrounding.

Although its a slow pace, but the story is so well written, made it not the weakness but instead the strength of the whole series. You will find it is so realistic and relatable to your everyday life, and immerse yourself as part of it. The romance is also a slow burn kinda romance, everything is natural, and no overacting. The cast -- you'll know its a great drama when the supporting roles are as memorable as the main roles. Each person is unique and has their own strength, weakness, and problems. And their character develop as the story progress. Not just the main roles, but to each one of them. Thus, I give four thumbs up (including my feet thumbs >,< haha) to the writer who blended them nicely.
