Overall- 10/10
As the first Korean drama that I completely finished, I can say that I am very pleased with "I'm Not a Robot". I completed the series within a span of around 3 days, so everything I watched went by in a blur. For me, this is the type of show that I think about after watching the last episode because of the way I am attached to the characters.
Story- 8/10
The story was good. The first half was easy to follow with nothing very major happening. This is all leading up to the climax and the amount of drama that comes afterward in the later half of the series. There are some key moments in the drama to be noted for a full understanding of the plot, and it will be recognized when seen. What kind of bothered me about the story was the number of plot conveniences there were, and I especially noticed them in the second half of the drama. It almost astounds me how smoothly the story goes, mainly because of the plot conveniences. Nevertheless, the plot was straightforward and there wasn't really anything bad about it except the plot conveniences.
Characters- 10/10
I found the characters to b really interesting in this drama. The male lead with a rare disease and a stern yet soft personality and a female lead playing three characters each with different personalities. The side characters were most of the comedy, which is appreciated. The lab members were very funny.
Acting/Cast- 10/10
Wow, wasn't the acting in this drama spectacular. The best aspect of this show. I got very attached to Chae Soo Bin, who is the main female character and acted as Jo Ji Ah and Aji 3. One reason why I was attached is how pretty she is (but I definitely prefer her with shorter hair as Jo Ji Ah). The other reason was how perfectly she portrayed 3 different roles, one as a human, one as a robot, and one as a human pretending to be a robot. One thing I take note of characters is how well they show their emotions and facial expressions, and I think she did this excellently. Same goes for Yoo Seung Ho as the main guy Kim Min Kyu. When he was sad, angry, or happy, he would show it to the point that I would follow and feel how he was feeling as though he were right next to me.
Music- 9/10
The soundtracks were consistent and the same throughout the whole series. The quality and selection of the music were very good. There was diversity with vocal and instrumental soundtracks to this drama. The little addition of bodily movement sounds like blinking was cute and funny.
Enjoyment- 10/10
Generally, everything about this drama was very good, and I definitely enjoyed watching it from start to finish. I thought I would be yawning a lot, but the amazing characters and well- executed comedic moments made it a great watch.
Rewatch value- 10/10
I really did enjoy watching this drama. I'll definitely be rewatching it after a few months when I've watched plenty more good dramas.
