I feel LIBERATED
I honestly would love to give this drama a 10! It’s probably one of my favorite dramas ever. The three siblings are fantastic. At first I mainly related to and understood Mi-jeon , but as the story went one I could relate to all the siblings. Every try info was great about this the family relationship, work-life, and friends. I’m usually in thriller and mysteries becaus so like to be in suspense all the time but for once I was at peace (watching the show) without getting bored. In my opinion the best part about the show is the inner dialogue. I feel like sometimes it’s simple and sometimes it’s profound. Sometimes I understand what it means and sometimes I don’t . Nonetheless it’s very enjoyable. The only things I would change is the ending (I just wanted a bit more) and Mr. Gu story a little bit. Everything felt really REAL about the show except Mr. Gu character around the end. Other than that I can confidently say this drama was perfect. It was beautiful in all regards and I would highly recommend people to watch it!Was this review helpful to you?

I'm just going to get straight to it. I think this is a really good drama. If I ever have a friend who wants to start to watch K-dramas I'd probably suggest this one first. Okay the story itself seems easy to follow, a girl who felt self-conscious got plastic surgery and is now dealing with life with a new face. No! There is so much more to it. I think you really have to empathize with Mi Rae as a character. Not loving how you look and people treating who differently purely based on your appearance is an awful feeling. Throughout the drama we can see where her feelings are rooted from, we can see that how society is so obsessed with beauty, we can also see how little appearances mean to the entirety of a person in this drama. Cast-
Mi Rae- Im Soo Hyang, I don't really think I have the right to comment on this part because I have a huge bias. Im Soo Hyang is my favorite actress. I have watched everything she has been in. So I think that she did a splendid job acting as Mi Rae. Her expressions, her ambiance, her charisma everything was spot on! I don't think her age has anything to do with the role because she was able to act like a college student.
Do Kyung Suk- So I actually learned about Cha eun woo from this drama, I must say he is really handsome. His acting career just started and I think he has really good potential. I don't want to judge too harshly, I know his character is standoffish, I just think he didn't always portray the coldness in the right way or the right time. However, these things come with times and I am not a professional critic or anything. It's just my opinion. He is really good, but there is room for improvement.
Soo Ah- I'm so surprised I haven't seen Jo Woo Ri in many leading roles before. She is honestly a hidden gem. She couldn't have portrayed her character better. Huge props to her for that.
Woo Young- Kwak Dong Yeon did a good job with his role. I thought he was quite a funny character sometimes. His acting is consistent, I wish sometimes he'd show more emotion, but he had some memorable parts so overall good.
The rest of the cast was also really good. I like Kyung Suk's mother a lot, she was such a great actress. His sister and Dad were both good as well. The same goes with the actors and actresses in Mi Rae's family. Also, I love the actress playing Mi Rae's best friend, she was honestly one of my favorite people in the cast. I wish I got to see more romance with her and Woo Young.
Romance- I think I should definitely mention this. Please do not watch this hoping to see a lot of romance. There is a decent amount of it. It's just that it is a bit slow. I think this was good for the drama however, I don't think too much romance would have been good. This is definitely not a huge romantic drama, but it has some cute scenes in there
Changes- The only this I would change is giving Mi Rae a bit more time to shine. In the first episode when she was dancing, honestly she really did shine. She did get to show off her perfume skills here and there and social skills, etc... However, I really think they could have given her more time in the spotlight.
I would definitely rewatch this and I highly suggest others to give this drama a try.

So I just became a member of MDL. I usually use the guest version, however that's not the point. I knew the first review I wanted to write would be for this drama. I have watched a lot of k-dramas. I had a point where I only watch school k-dramas, if I was still in that stage I'd probably have given this drama a 10. The reason I didn't was well probably because I have grown out of the stage of watch school romance K-drama. When I started this drama it was really interesting. The whole plot seemed so interesting. I loved Dan-oh's character. She was honest to herself, fought for what she believed in, but she was also very cheerful without being naive. However, I think the reason many people are not giving the show a 10 is probably for the same reason, which is how focused she is on Haru. Which is the male MC. I feel like their romance was really cute and enjoyable to watch to a certain extent. To be honest I wanted to see more of just Dan-oh figuring things out. She had so many different relationships at the beginning but the farther I got into the drama I noticed the only relationship she spent time on was her romance with Haru. It was to the point that Dan-oh and Haru were obsessed with each other. I just think it wasn't necessary. Instead, I wished that they showed an equal amount of screen time of Dan-oh interacting with her friends, dad, her enemies, etc... I think episodes in the middle were really unnecessary. I think the point I got really annoyed was when Haru disappeared and she became really depressed. This part happened before any of the "romance" began. I think the reason I am unhappy with this drama is that there were so many elements to it. There was the whole Nam Ju love story, Do Hwa love story triangle, Dried Squid Fairy, the historical aspect of it all. It was just in general too much. However, despite all of it, it was still good. Overall good story, it just needed to cut out some unnecessary aspects. Was this review helpful to you?
