Cashgrab with bl on the side.

PLOT.

Non-existent. Plot holes are so crucial, i was actually wondering if the screenwriter accidentally put their script into the shredder and tried to make something out of leftovers.
Don't get me wrong, im not picky when it comes to romance bl, BUT BFFR.. Its is physically impossible not to notice huge plot holes.
- Like how the concept of multiverse seems to be so common when it comes to main characters and others in their little universe-travellers club, but remains unknown to the rest of the world?
- What’s the actual purpose of the port-key if in reality it seems like you don’t need “a perfect match” to be able to come back from the parallel universe?
- How is nobody around main characters noticing the sudden and drastic change in their behaviour?
And the worst part is that the show was getting progressively more boring with every episode, because for some reason the focus was switched from the universe travel to your typical student life drama about four guys trying to make it in a movie industry.

ROMANCE.

Crazy chemistry between main characters and Nivea.

Some reviews are like“this series has such great chemistry and so many cute interactions between main characters that you can easily overlook the bad screenwriting and product placement”..
BUT TRUST ME. Almost every single “cute interaction” you will get in this series IS A FREAKING COMMERCIAL.
Every 15-20 minutes there is a minute long rant about chips, fried chicken, delivery service, face wash, drinks, scooters…
Every time characters were getting flirty i was praying for this not to be another product placement, but again and again it was a lifeless fanservice with big bright KFC logo in the middle of the screen and it was absolutely killing the vibe.
(I fckin lost it when THE PROPOSAL SCENE turned out to be basically a chips ad).

They also added this “guy 1 is openly hitting on guy 2, who keeps getting angry and rejecting him but secretly enjoys it” trope and usually i enjoy the flirtatious tension it brings BUT HERE… It felt sooo out of place and cringy i had to skip through a lot of scenes.

The love triangle also felt forced and instead of feeling excitement and anticipation of what this drama may take the plot to, i was just getting progressively bored by it.

ACTING.

Its… There..?
I wouldn’t call it horrible, it was just… meh.
To be fair its hard to actually see Jimmy’s & Seas acting in between of a badly scripted lines and exhaustingly cliche dialogues.
I know both of them are great actors (thanks god i watched Last Twilight first) but Vice Versa simply doesn’t give them the space to show their potential and its just sad.
The rest of the cast did pretty much okay, but honestly speaking, i wasn’t really fond of any of the supporting characters besides Phuwadol, who was killed off in the 7th episode.

OVERALL

Watch it under three circumstances:

- you don’t care about the plot
- you don’t care if almost every romantic interaction between characters is a product placement
- you are a jimmy&sea fan
In other cases i would recommend wasting your time on this mess.
