An old man with red sneakers stole the show.

A story about a college boy who, following the desecration of his grandfather's tomb, finds himself entering the world of Outsiders. A society with superpowers and qi at its core. Because of an allegedly hereditary skill, he is pursued by adversaries. On his way to the truth behind his origins, he meets an insomniac, an idol, a brainwasher, a white-haired Taoist, an unpredictable shovel lady, and a grandfather with red sneakers.

It felt like watching a martial arts drama in a modern setting with fantasy elements. Dramas with this type of backdrop are typically predictable, with the younger generation making their mark on the world and the seniors executing power plays. However, even with the cliches, I was taken aback by this one's distinctive scene changes. The comic elements were executed quite well; however, occasionally they fell flat.

It was my first time watching the main actors, and they gave a wonderful performance. Especially Wang Ying Lu. Her portrayal of Feng BaoBao with innocent and striking boldness came out fittingly.

The fight choreography was great, with good CGI. Despite appearing to be an unrelated plot, the main characters’ intricate backstory was cleverly woven into the primary narrative. The title clearly corresponds to the Zhang Chulan, who believed he was alone, that he had no one, that he was nothing in comparison to the world, but who eventually built his own family. Overall, a fun watch with some funny moments. recommended for those who wish to watch superpowers with martial arts in a present-day context.

Marriage of convenience becomes dullsville when turned into a Marriage of love

After an attempted kidnapping and resulting chaos, an arranged marriage couple is forced to communicate when the phone rings.

WHAT I LIKED

- Interesting start and a satisfactory first half.
- Liked the characters diversity in terms of their professions; appreciated the scenes with the sign language.
- The story was entertaining till the couple got together.
- Intriguing thriller elements and an impressive soundtrack.
- Good performance overall, but Chae Soo Bin's expressions felt a bit flat at times.

WHAT I DISLIKED

- Quality declined after the main couple's union with mediocre dialogue.
- Couple interactions felt more artificial in the second half.
- The unnecessary plot points that weren't concluded clearly.
- The final episodes were mostly filler scenes with a climactic conclusion.

Overall, an okayish watch. Recommended if you want to watch more Wattpad-style stories and just for fun with limited brain consumption.

“I have a favor to ask.”

A rich chaebol ends up being a cop after a mishap and flexes his way into the team and cases by asking for a favor.

Strengths:
- Unique plot and brilliant storyline.
- Cases were unique and engaging.
- The culprit at many times was predictable, but the process of collecting evidence was too entertaining, especially from the perspective of the rich heir.
- Strong team dynamics and chemistry.
- Amazing soundtracks and great acting by the cast.

Weakness:
- The last case was too predictable and ends up being a drawback to the drama.
- The conglomerate storyline flows with familiar K-drama patterns.

Overall, very good and engaging, binge-worthy drama. recommended if you want to watch a good detective drama where the possibility of money comes into play.

“you will be happy”

A timid teen and tsundere general are engaged by the family members in this heartwarming journey to find happiness in themselves and in others.

Strengths:

- Strong acting performance and well-executed storyline.
- Entertaining action sequences with power elements involved.
- Easy to watch.
- The setting of the movie was very natural and elegant.

Weakness:

- Couple relationship felt underdeveloped.
- Pacing issues; the plot would move from one scene to the next with little tension.

Overall, a very satisfying and heartwarming movie. I would recommend it if you are looking for something with fantasy elements and romance between a happily engaged couple.

The overflowing words become a song

The drama follows the journey of a former teacher turned housemother steering her life and those of the idols under her care and their struggles from the bottom of the barrel to the top in the industry.

Things I liked:
- The plot and premise were good
- The lives and hardships of the idol industry as well as their remedies to the issues, some of which were a little over the top.
- Good perspective on trauma and how they dealt with it in the end.
- The narrative was intriguing, and each band member has a unique story to tell.
- The music and lyrics were fantastic.

Things I disliked:
- The female protagonist occasionally gave off the impression of being an adolescent rather than a teacher.
- Several characters' performances occasionally seemed overly strained and phoney, particularly at the crying moments.
- Sometimes I thought the characters were motivated only to further the plot. Certain plot lines felt like they came out nowhere.

Overall, a good one-time watch. Recommended if you want to watch a story with insider stuff on the entertainment industry.

#TeamExpressionLord vs #TeamPerceptiveWife, who's your pick?

The show begins with the Lord Huaiyang pretending to be the spouse of Liu Miantang, his favorite adversary Lu Wen's alleged concubine. The plot revolves around this fake couple who are a perfect fit due to their lies and deception.

The intellectual ability of the main characters, especially the female lead in the drama was one of its strong aspects. The lead characters were proficient at overcoming tricky situations. It also was surprising to secondary female characters being quick-witted. The acting was fantastic. I watched this drama primarily for Zhang Wang Yi, as I was captivated by his portrayal in Lost You Forever. His facial expressions were entertaining to watch. This was my first time watching this actress, and I thought her performance was great.

One of the weak elements was the pacing. The middle was dragged out, the early arcs were overly relaxed, and the conclusion was a little bit rushed. There had been some off-screen scenes, which would have been better shown with at least two episodes instead of secondary characters story. Some characters, in my opinion, were saved till the very end to add depth in areas that seemed to be lacking.

With its subtle wit and strong acting, the show is enjoyable. I wish that the main characters' backgrounds had been explored in greater detail throughout the story. Felt like LMT's past as Bandits wife wasn't given enough attention, and her acts were only talked about rather than shown. These inconsistencies could have been dealt in earlier episodes. Overall an enjoyable drama with comedy, romance, politics, intelligent characters. I rate it 8.5.
