Criminally Underrated and Overhated
Player season 2 gets so many unnecessary hate when it's a decent drama at max, i understand that we were frustrated that Krystal is gone for good, and let's accept that ffs.The villains was so leveled up, the cameos were unexpected, and the acting was above average. The storyline didn't hit that much but it was still decent.OST was rocking tho.
I mean let's be honest this was action packed and it will keep you watching, but yes it's not that emotionally attractive like in the s1 but that's the point, they're both different seasons.
Still a must watch tbh

Everything is thoroughly detailed and on point
Connection has that dark aura that was consistent throughout the drama.I mean a police handling drug cases gets addicted to drugs himself?and what's worse is that he can't get help because he's the one who's supposed to help. From that premise, it was that great. The casts was so complex and different from one another, which was amazing. There were so many grey characters, like yoon jin, honestly she was the realest, she was just trying to survive for her daughter. The villains wasn't really that kind of "psychotic villain" that you would find. They all had backstories and reasons for why they killed who, which for me, i liked. And its time for kdramas to stop doing plot twists that doesn't even fit well...and connection was verryy different from that, all dots were connected, and it just flew smoothly, tho it was kind of predictable, well that what's makes it more realistic! The OST was fire too, cinematography was top tier, the setting was really good and it kept the dark atmosphere of the kdrama. The acting was oscar-worthy, everyone did great!
This is definitely a must watch for thriller crime fans.Connection isn't that lenghty but it's not slow burn too, it just flows perfectly.
And the ending was so well thought, they didn't leave any characters' fate left undecided.Kudos to the production of connection, this is definitely my #1 kdrama of 2024!
Imma do the friendships day thingyz, that was so cuteeeeee

Is your family well?
Bitter sweet hell is a breath of fresh air. This kdrama is artsy in some way, it feels like it's written and produced by poets.I also love the inclusion of novel authors here.It really exceeded my expectations and they did "mind game battle" a justice! Both Young Won and Se Na are good manipulators with their own different intentions, they're calm, articulate, and really thinks thoroughly what will they do in their next steps.(they inspired me to take psych in college?)Maternal love here is so fascinating yet sad, i have a love-hate relationship with Sa Gang tho.The ending is so well-made, the built-up is so good.Of course the friendships here are commendable too!Especially So Yi and Do Hyun's friendship.
The witch's dance of Sena at the end really gave me chills. The soundtracks fits so well with the kdrama too.
Honestly i loved this so much this will be so memorable to me since i relate to most characters (especially do hyun)
The characters had depth and connection with each.Really love how Sena harrased Young Won, she didn't have a close up encounter with her before, but she almost ruined her life, and that's a fucking psychopath!
"The meaning of being well as a family differs to everyone, maybe being well means being strangers, or being knitted tight with each other, or maybe being well is just letting go of them. But one thing is for sure, that a family shouldn't hold secrets to each other, so that when you're asked how well your family is, you'll be more comfortable and lighthearted to answer"-what i learned in bsh!
It's such a bitter sweet feeling to see this kdrama end, that I'll miss binge watching this! Definitely recommended!

Unique premise but predictable story
Bastards are more despicable than dogsLook, this was really fast-paced, 20 minutes in, there's so many things going on, from the main characters and side characters, action scenes are GREAT, cgi is average, but the characters didn't have that depth that i was looking for, like, the connection wasn't there, i guess they could've used more gore on this but it's still a good watch for a political, action , sci-fi, and drama kmovie
The last scene's parallelism between jung won's paternal love to kyung min and e9's maternal love towards her children :( a really sad reality..
RIP Lee Sun Kyun, I'll miss you and your works, such a great actor, and the child and the granny from train to busan is here too!such an interesting crossover

All over the place
Pandora :Beneath the paradise had great casts and most importantly great characters too, but i was sad that they made it too complicated that I can't even catch on to what's happening. But honestly for me, as a makjang lover i enjoyed it every bit.The only thing I'm not so happy about is the ending, they left so many characters' fate unanswered (ex:sungchan, mr.joo, and many more) plus what was the ending?? I'm assuming it's just hagyeong's hallucinations since she's too stressed about what happened a year ago.The other thing i loved too is the punishment that jaehyun got, so deserved! Why did i think that there's gonna be some character revival from those who died??i watched too many penthouse LOLOL
But kidding aside, this is a must watch from a makjang drama, tho there's so many plot holes, i still enjoyed it.The thing that i disliked is that yura's death didn't even got acknowledged from jaehyun's crimes??And the fact that we didn't know if sungchan was in prison because of what they did to sujeong, is frustrating, plus he almost killed gyojin, like girl JAIL TIME.(Honestly i kinda wished if dojin went to jail because of the illegal human experimentation they did to sujeong)
But overall i had a great time laughing at the plot twists!

Intriguing, Gory, Violent, and Unexpected
it's just blood and guts everywhere, which i like, tbh it's so unexpecting to the point that you wont know who's gonna be dead, who's gonna survive, or who's even the main antagonist??but yeah it's chaotic, just the way i like. That seemingly main characters we see, even died at one point, i was even confused who's the mc here, 'cuz i would theorize that it's dayeon and she ended up dying minutes later, like bffr i hated how she died.?I wish this can have a part 2 tho, we still have many reasons to have a sequel, many other opportunities for the plot, and i want it to be even gorier next timeWas this review helpful to you?

A high school revenge drama everyone's missing on
When i first saw this drama i thought this was a typical revenge, but it was not, the character portrayal was good, i didn't have to fast forward some scenes cuz the actors did a spectacular job acting the hell out like it's rent due, the revenge was best served hot n cold, the thriller was thrilling, tho i kind of knew who the killer was the moment i saw them, the mystery still served.Prosecutor cha was my fav charac, she js served on those basic asd outfits but carried it like she was carrying the entire show!the pacing was a bit slow but it's understandable. But is it js me that suspected porter?cuz he was sus af too.Lemme do a quick recap on some of the high schoolers
Beom jin=the psychopath.i mean?he had no guilt or remorse doing nothing!tbh the giveaway for me was when he was tolerating the veritas behavior of tampering the students' record, like boy you're smart enough to not get associated with that.
Tae ra=our little dependent queen, she was like a socialopath, but she was getting too pressured with her own mom, her death was so unexpected for me, but it had to be done.
Ye ri=miss girll was nothing but a jealous, mean, bully girl, she was the opportunist out of all them, she'll find who's convenient for her to side on.
Gi hoon=just a perv and a creep.also i think he was the first one to have the brains to not listen to beom jin.he was like the gray character.idk
Some characters' ending wasn't shown, where's joon jae? where's prosecutor cha?they missed out on some details but this was a good watch!

Underwhelming
i watched the premise and i thought it would give us a dark thriller highschool type of genre, wherein every moment gets you thrilled, i was wrong.it was a complicated romance all along. i was wondering why hera got 3 love interests and yun-seok and woo-jin having the same fate, like what's the point?. i also wasn't satisfied to how the main 4 jooshin high elites' fate ended, it felt too rushed. and what was the post-credits scene even for?x.also didn't like how woojin got less screentime than the other main cast, the other bullies got more screentime than him tbh, he was so invisible the whole time, plus the first close up solo encounter he had with kang ha was literally was in ep5-7( i forgot which).i think we already knew that it was jae yi's perv brother who filmed the whole thing?, it was so obv.tho i liked the aesthetic and cinematography, they could've done better than this, i expected more since this was from netflix, the cast did somewhat average, some did fell flat, some did great, and pleas stop with the unnecessary romance, every time!it was so cringe, like?still hoping that hera and woojin will end up together?as for ri-an he was ugh idk, i was so confused with him idk why, then here comes our typical fl jaeyi who got caught along a fricking love square, babe u gotta choose!(she's so me, indecisive queen) but i liked her character tho.kang-ha was so questionable, i thought he would come up with some thoroughly analyzed plan, but boy just went straight to the police!it was so bland??i was also thinking how ri-an's mom didn't bribe the police considering she's so respected(like jaeyi's dad), like if that's the logic, anyone could've shot thst school down sooner!i mean at least think for a defensive countermeasure? Was this review helpful to you?
