definitely worth the watch
this show is absolutely amazing. honestly, i was a bit iffy before starting it as i hadnt ever really taken much interest in chinese dramas previously but THE STORY IS INCREDIBLE. it is so hard to dislike any character as they are so well written. every single character has depth and flaws and i count that as a win its own. the two main leads wei wuxian and lan wangji were played by xiao zhan and wang yibo who did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.i will say however, the only faults i had with the show was that since they had a low budget the special effects were not as good as they could have been. the first two episodes start off a bit confusing but the story starts coming together around ep 3. after that, its just a rollercoaster of emotions.
the overall concept does raise interesting societal questions too. 'what is black? what is white? who is right? who is wrong?' it highlights societal judgement and views. and makes you really ponder, people might not always be as simple as they seem. there is a lot we dont know about the thoughts and morality of the people we choose to judge. people who are outcasts and looked down upon, may unexpectedly have the sweetest hearts.
after finishing the show, i even read the book to get an even better in depth idea of the characters. which is something that has never happened before. overall, if you have time and are looking for a heart wrenching story filled with plot twists, this is a must watch. i became quite a fan of this show.

AN UNDERATED SHOW FOR SURE
when it comes to watching lgbt+ content, i think most avid viewers can agree the whole university student au trope (is still sweet) but majorly overdone and repetitive. i was quite interested going into this show knowing that it wasnt going to follow that storyline but what i found really went quite above my expectations!! a sweet drama that talks about of real life issues gay people in their mid 40s can go through. it has your usual fluffy scenes (personally, i find them cuter since the main characters arent in their honeymoon phase anymore and the genuine care for one another is prominent) but also manages to stay very authentic with great representation for the community.and a MAJOR plus is the amazing food!! the way every episode brings you a new dish and their descriptive words for the dishes had my mouth watering. overall, this is a must watch. definitely one of the best bls i have come across so far

this film does have dark themes , nsfw scenes and nudity
AMAZING, this movie absolutely exceeded my expectations ! if you are someone that is look for a well written story that is also a cinematographic masterpiece this is for you. the actors did a near perfect job of executing each role and the movie starts of well but the plot thickens more and more as time goes by. it is a movie that will definitely leave you dazed after youre done watching it.i would give it extra points since it depicts a very fascinating story behind both the female leads that end up falling for each other. its also rare to find an lgbt+ movie that is a period movie and also has a happy ending. the characters are very well written and developed. kudos to the writers, directors, crew and the cast. this truly is a masterpiece

this series is so cute
okay, so after watching Your Eyes Linger i had an idea of what to expect from a Korean BL. overall, they have good stories, a great amount of drama and good acting shown in a short amount of time. This show was no exception. The story is about a runner and his pacemaker so if that interests you, you'll like it and there is a good amount of angst if that is what youre looking for.of course there is a lot of fluff too, and certain parts that are absolutely heart wrenching. a whole roller coaster of emotions. If you're a fan of BLs , this is a must watch
