I felt about this the same way I felt about the first one — excited for all the zombie parts and the action scenes, but feeling like I could've gotten so much more social commentary or discussion about the human condition, instead of a lot of the politics with old bearded men that I STILL can't tell apart. I also really like that they fleshed out the story behind the resurrection flower and what causes the plague, but there's sadly a little less tension now that the outbreak is all out in the open. I still appreciate all the action scenes and the team sticking together (or not).
The one thing that stood out to me the most is the music and the cinematography — both really impressive and immersive, with some of the most dramatic and beautiful shots I'd ever seen.
