I remember clearly the day when a dear friend of mine recommended me to watch my first drama: the popular Hana Yori Dango. Until then I had no contact whatsoever with the Asian art and entertainment industry aside from a couple of anime and movies that I watched in my youth, and never felt the need to explore this world further.

However, watching Hana Yori Dango blew my world. I had finally found something that I had been searching for in years of watching Hollywoodian movies and series: an emotion so intense that shook me to the deepest of my core, an expression of love in its purest form (as opposed to calling "love" what actually is just a shallow sexual attraction between people that barely know each other), and a friendship that goes far beyond blood bonds.

Since then, I've been watching all sorts of dramas and while I'm still exploring this new world, so far none of them has disappointed me.
