good objectively but didn't live up to the hype

If you're like me and have been waiting literally 3 years for this show to come out, I think its quite obvious to say that I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't all I was hyping it up to be. TBH I thought this show was going to change the trajectory of my life but honestly, it was just like. Okay. If I watched it without all of the hyping up I gave it I think I would have liked it a little more, but unfortunately, I've been waiting for this since 2019. I absolutely hated that there was FIVE COUPLES?????? Any more than one side couple is just farrr to many im sorry. Half the episode most of the time was not even about winteam and I always found myself wanting to skip through prince and beeprince and pruekmanows scenes. tulwan was a pleasant surpise though- I ended up really really loving them, and would love to have been able to see more of them. So yeah overall it was okay and im not upset that I watched it, but it could have been better considering how fucking long it took to come out.

So Freaking CUTEEE

I watched this entire series in 2 sittings and It was so adorable I was going to barf in a good way. Objectively the main character is very very annoying and probably the worst roommate in the entire world but nothing about this series is to be taken seriously so I think it doesn't really matter all that much. Even though he is annoying, he is also so freaking cutesy and I couldn't help myself from literally loving him so much. The storyline is very cool and unlike anything else that I have ever watched before. I liked that it was lighthearted and not very dramatic and death-filled like other supernatural dramas, although I do love those too! The main characters are so cute and the opening credit is so cute I watched it every single episode lol. Anyways I would definitely recommend this drama!!

I can't explain how much I freaking love this show. this might be kind of biased since I've literally been waiting to watch it since before the trailer was released but oh my god it's so worth the wait. I would never believe that this is the fourth and gemini's first time being the main characters in a series, their chemistry is so good and they are such incredible actors for their age. They are so adorable. They have me giggling, kicking my feet, and twirling my hair. I cannot wait for the rest of this show so I can go back to the first episode and watch them all in a row.

COME ONNNN this could have been SOOOO GOOD

This show was one that I fully intended to joke watch with my friends because we love asian dramas and we are obsessed with joking about the omegaverse... but once I got into it I literally could not stop watching. I started watching right after episode 8 came out and literally watched 1-8 in one night. TBH i watched them so fast I can't even fully remember what happens all I know is I was HOOKED.

I love a show where the couple is together the entire show, so when they got together in episode one I was so happy because a bitch hatesssss to wait and the chemistry was there already. I was very confused about the "omegaverse" aspect of this series because i'm pretty sure in the literal first scene you learn that Babe is an alpha and he's hooking up with another alpha which i'm pretty sure is not how the omegaverse works. 12 episodes later and i guess this show just made up their own version of the omegaverse because there were not betas nor omegas. Were alphas just people that have powers?? who knows. Maybe the alphas were the friends we made along the way.

After Charlies fake death literally everything went downhill for me. I started getting confused about who is who and who knows what and what information only the viewer knows. Just a lot of information being given in every single minute of the episodes but also I was bored at the same time and sick of seeing babe cry every 5 minutes like plssss let this boy live.

The last episode was definitely the most disappointing part to me since I was so so invested in what was gonna happen with the Pete/Way/Kenta triangle, only for you know what to happen and then not seeing pete or kenta ever again. I also wanted to know if North and Sonic had feelings for eachother, or if they would get together but there was literally not a single frame of them once the funeral was over im pretty sure. I just don't understand why they would start storylines they never intended to finish. It wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't try to fit AN ENTIRE STORYLINE about Babe and his father into the last episode and have it literally take up 15-20 minutes of the 50 minute LAST episode, and be completely unnecessary?????

TBH Alan and Jeff were the highlight of the series they were soooo cute and their pacing wasn't too slow and they had some good moments in the last episode (completely overshined Charlie and Babe the entire episode BTW). I remember Jeff's actor from Gen Y and he literally still looks so young I can't believe he is 28 years old that's nuts

Anyways I still enjoyed the show and would recommend watching bc it's still a good show if u ignore the last few episodes

PHUWIN AND POND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! They are one of the best couplings on gmm at the moment... They are doing such a good job with everything, and for this to be their first show paired together is insane. This show was so so fun to watch and I have already rewatched it 2 times since my first watch in the summer (its february now). Pond and Phuwin are such incredibly diverse actors, and seeing the switch between fish upon the sky and never let me go is so impressive. They killed it in both obviously, but this show was just so heartwarming and I enjoyed every episode. The side couple was also really cute which surprised me bc usually gmms side couples are ass (looking at u The Eclipse... sorry). Yeah so basically I loved this show so much and I would 100% recommend watching.

literally what is going on

This show amazed me in a way that i've never been amazed before, but I do not mean that in a good way. So many things just make zero sense whatsoever. How can a mafia be a mafia without illegal activity??? That is literally not possible. It shows in the first episode that Sun just randomly got a call and casually became Sky's bodyguard, but then we learn that he's been training his entire life to be his bodyguard??? How come they have never met before if his entire reason for living thus far has been Sky??? ALSOOOOOO THEY TELL EVERYBODY THAT THEY ARE COUSINS, BUT THEN JUST DROP THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DATING ONE DAY AND NEVER SPECIFY THAT THEY LIED ABOUT BEING COUSINS. SO TO EVERYBODY'S KNOWLEDGE THEY ARE LITERALLY COUSINS AND DATING!!!! Don't even get me started on how the end of this show was literally worse than anything I could have come up with to end this show. A SIX YEAR NO CONTACT BREAK IN THEIR BRAND NEW RELATIONSHIP. Sorry but who is waiting 6 years to be together... there is a certain point where I say just disrespect your father and date. Speaking of the father why was he literally the worst man in the entire world and we were just supposed to ignore it. He "tested" sun by PRETENDING HE WAS GOING TO KILL HIM. Okay now let's talk about how the two girls in the friend group are the real victims of this show. They were literally strung along and given hope for the entire series that their crushes liked them back. Literally from episode one Sun could have told Juno that he did not have feelings for her. And then when Sky asked Toktaeng on a date ONLY because he wanted to get back at Sun??? Oh that made me hate him so bad. I never liked Sky but that was a new level of hatred I felt for him.

Anyways the show wasn't even that bad and I was entertained most of the time I just thought the inconsistencies were rly funny tbh . The second couple was cute too so.

Okay Storyline with Great Cast

I think I would have hated this show if the cast wasn't as great as they are. I am going to break this review down into parts

Rui/Zong Yi-- I hated Rui at first and thought that I would never be able to like his character, and to be fair I didn't for most of the show. I had a very big problem with the fact that Zong Yi was a minor and Rui was forcing Zong Yi to house him and was also being weird and flirty with him. I thought that they would at least age up Zong Yi before the actual romance/intimacy was happening but Nope. It was important to the story that he was 17 but I don't really like that there was a sex scene when one of them was a minor and the other was in his 20s. I thought the part where Rui was hidden in the house went on way too long and I was honestly getting bored of it, but then it ended. AND THEN HE WAS HIS TEACHER???? I also don't really understand where Zong Yi's feelings came from since all Rui has done for him was help him with homework (in exchange for cake may I add) but once they got together I didn't hate them. Towards the middle of the story, I started to like this couple more and was rooting for them to get back together when Rui was out of prison, but then they pulled the amnesia thing which didn't really make a lot of sense because he was injured from being punched in the body?? but whatever lol. Once Rui and Zong Yi were back together I liked the storyline with Zong Yi's dad having a problem with them because obviously he would his son went to jail because of this dudes gang/mafia/whatever it was. By the end, I was happy for them and thought their ending was very cute. This review seems like I hated their entire storyline and I wanna add on that I dont!! Just compared to the side couple I did not care all that much for their story. Im sure that many people probably loved their story!!

Chen Yi/Ai Di-- For me they carried this entire show and I think they should have been the main couple, to be honest. I'm kind of a slut for childhood friends to lovers and especially in a mafia show like this I was just bound to love them. Ai Di was my favorite character in the entire series. He was so cute but crazy at the same time and honestly very mature for his age, WHICH WAS 18 THANK GODDD why does every show have to have so many minors??? Chen Yi was also a favorite of mine. Him being in love with the boss at first (who was like wayy too old for him idk why nobody told him this) made the scenes between him and Ai Di even better because I never knew when he was just gonna realize that hes in love with Ai Di (which was so so obvious I literally thought they were dating when I started the show) . These characters had soooo much chemistry I was literally biting my nails wondering when they were gonna get together. I was sitting there so sad for AI Di when it showed him celebrating their birthday alone every year TT. I did not like the fact that the first time they slept together Chen Yi was drunk, and then they didn't see eachother for years. I also did not understand why Ai Di went to jail I dont think they ever explained it. After the time jump I loved this couple even more. Seeing straightfaced, always serious Chen Yi try to figure out how to get Ai Di back was so funny (I liked when he gave him the face pillow lmaooo). When they finally got together I was so much happier than when the main couple got together tbh.

I did not care about the two old dudes at all and everytime they were on screen I did not pay any attention to them at all Im sorry. Im sure their story is interesting but I have no interest in the love story of two old annoying awful dudes.

I would recommend watching this just for the awesome cast, and for Ai Di and Chen Yi. It also has some cameos from other Taiwanese bl actors! Overall I definitely enjoyed this series.

I don't know all the men were kind of assholes to Yuna I think she deserved so much better than she was treated by literally every character except for Hyewon. The main couples story was alright I don't know why the bald friend and other friend were even in the show tbh. Also, why would lee roa call him cute like 10 times and then pretend not to care about him when he confessed it didn't make any sense!!! I also felt like Jiwu's feelings kind of came out of nowhere he likes Yuna one second and the next second he's rejecting her?? The main takeaway I had is that Hyewon and Yuna should have ended up together.

okay so i watched 2gether as it was coming out from like the 5th episode i think and if you asked 2019 sophia what she thought about it she would say its a cinematic masterpiece but ive been rewatching bits and pieces and its just not all that tbh. still a good watch and i think any bl fan should watch just for its iconic-ness but ive seen better and ive seen worse. i think the main couple has not one bit of chemistry but ive come to expect that from any gmm series i fear. it still holds a special place in my heart bc it was my first bl ever so thats why the rating is that high

I hate AI and I hate this show

OK so honestly it's my fault that i hated this show so much because the entire premise of a human dating (and sleeping with????) a robot makes me so uncomfortable and I watched it anyways because I loved all the other shows (especially stay by my side) but damn it made me more uncomfy than i could have even imagined!!

First off it was already weird and icky that he would want to date and sleep with a robot instead of a human.... sorry but as a human your basic values and ethics should stop you from falling in love with something that is NOT A HUMAN!!!!! And second of all if him being a robot wasn't already weird enough they made him a robot that literally acts like a child and infantilizes his weird childlike innocence. The whole scene where he was teaching him how to kiss made me feel kind of sick idk. I could still imagine the feeling of being in love/kissing someone before I experienced it so if the robot is so "humanlike" idk how it couldn't especially with all that goddamn PROGRAMMED DATA!!

They had the chance to make the end okay by either somehow making ever 9 a human or revealing that he was never even a robot. But no. They decided "hey lets make the literal worst ending to a show that anybody could even imagine" and then hit us with the "seven years later".

One thing i'll give this show is the actors did a good job and they had good chemistry but it was wasted on a weird ass story like this.
