A drama that will leave you wanting more!
I initially started this drama, because I heard about the sister-drama "Nothing but Thirty" and thought I need to start off in my 20's. I found this drama super relatable as it demonstrates how you learn and grow through the people you meet and obstacles you encounter in your 20s. You really get connected to each storyline and each of the character development, it's written beautifully and I gotta admit, I teared up on the last episode!I'm really looking forward to seeing more of these girls with Season 2 coming out and is set a few years on from Season 1. Hopefully the male characters return too! It's been a long time since I watched a Chinese drama with 40 episodes and I had my doubt..but this drama has definitely set the bar high!
I'm definitely adding this drama to my favourites <3

I was stunned by the amazing CG!
I was lucky enough to see this at the cinemas on the first day of the lunar new year and was glad I went to see it on the big screen!With a very unique storyline, it brings together the modern day world and a written fantasy world through Kong Wen's story writing. I definitely get "death note" vibes from this movie - from the monsters and I was mostly amazed at how real and in-depth the CG was. The movie kept me entertained and as non-sichuan dialect speaker, I found myself needing to read the subs (there's a great amount of sichuan dialect spoken in this movie!)
Overall, a great movie to watch for this lunar new year!

Hoping for more heart-warming TVB series like this!
This drama focuses on relationships across multiple characters at all different ages, and not just love relationship too but also the love for your family.It definitely blew me away. I found it very relatable and some episodes got me tearing up. A lot of the actors did a brilliant job portraying the every-day life struggles that we all go through. They also explored many topics like the pressure of having to be somewhere in your life because others around you are, the idea that purchasing a house defines your success, love which has developed and changed over many years and lots more.
Hoping TVB can keep creating this type of content! I really enjoyed this series and looking forward to future seasons!

Yet another Line Walker?!
I've only recently gotten back into TVB dramas these last few years and i got to admit, they do the whole "Police/Triad" concept really well. Line Walker 3 bought in characters from Line Walker 1 and Line Walker 2 (Prelude). This drama has such a great cast and of course, it's been a long time since we have all seen Raymond Lam back in the TVB scene.There's so many storylines and plots in this drama which makes it complicated, but what it does give - is more backstory to what happened between the timeline of Line Walker 2 and Line Walker 1. You really grow to love some of these characters. However, the last few episodes feel rushed and so much happens that I'm still trying to process it.
Overall, if you enjoyed the first 2 dramas in the line walker series, I recommend watching the 3rd one. It's good just to see these characters come back together again!
(And yes, i'm still sad about Pakho not being able to be in this one..)

Watched for Park Shin Hye, stayed for the thrills!
I LOVE a good thriller and this was right up my alley and I was even happier to find out Park Shin Hye is in this one. She's definitely killing it in the thriller movie scene, even though I'm bias and would love to see her in more romcoms (Coffee Prince feels, AM I RIGHT??)This movie got me on the edge of my seat and they did the whole time travelling well, it was easy to distinguish the time differences and it actually made sense. The acting was impeccable and wow Jeon Jong Seo can really act.
I have no idea why you aren't immediately clicking the 'play' button on this one!!

Dubbed Japanese Hunger Games
I watched this after seeing the hype on Netflix and not sure why, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. The first 2 episodes had a great start and after persisting through the next few episodes, i thoroughly enjoyed the final episode.I honestly wanted to see the storyline move a bit faster in terms of them understanding the reason for the games and looks like we will see much more of this in Season 2.
I haven't seen the manga or anime, but I do really love Liar Game (A similar psychological Japanese drama which i HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and i just felt that liar game was soo much better.
All in all, i still think Netflix did really well in terms of staying true to the anime/manga, so I will look forward to a Season 2, which is hopefully even better than Season 1!!!

A REAL look into 21st century modern dating
Finally something which isn't the usual cute teen romance. This web drama is something more realistic to modern dating and a look into various character's outlook on love and relationships. The story definitely keeps you hooked and I'm pretty sure you'll be looking up the OST which was by Park Won. The characters were played really well and the actress who plays the main female lead, Kim Yi Kyung is gorgeous! I hope she gets more roles in the future, would love to see more of her.I do feel like the drama is not everyone's type of web drama, but if you do like seeing the raw and realness of modern love, you'll love this series.

Confused, but the good type of confused that leaves you wanting more!
It's been awhile since I've wanted a Taiwanese drama, so I decided to pick this one up and WOW - I was amazed. The complex storyline and the amazing acting by all the actors (especially by Alice Ko and Greg Hsu) and they just seem to work really well. Usually time travel dramas aren't written well, but this one begs to differ. It's a drama that makes you hooked and confused, but wanting to know more.I feel like this drama is so underrated, so if you are still debating whether to watch it or not - Hurry up and load up Episode 1!

An enchanting and loving tale
I was captivated by the use of magic realism and the constant flashbacks of young Maya and current day Maya. with a such a unique way of storytelling, both versions of Maya go through the emotions of finding and losing love. Ulan means 'Rain' in Tagalog and we certainly see rain during several important moments of Maya's life. The way they have used rain as a symbol throughout the movie pretty much tells a story of its' own.The more you watch the movie, the more you root for Maya to find her tale of love, but as we all know - things may never go the way you want it to and the ending leaves you with much to ponder. But maybe she did find her inner peace through all the rain.

Not the best reaction for Armed Reaction
It's been awhile since i've seen Jessica Hsuen and of course 'Armed Reaction' has good reputation for being an awesome drama. However, i felt like it lacked a good storyline and I didn't find it that humorous.Also, Moses has seemed to the play almost the same character in every single modern drama....The only storyline that i did enjoy was the story behind Him Law's character, and those that surround him. Wish they had explored that more.
But overall, it was a bit disappointing as I had pretty high hopes for this drama, but looks like it's another one of those tvb dramas that is very average :(

Wish the love was sweeter in Love in Sweet
Cute storyline and I enjoyed Bai Lu in this drama, but I don't know why...it just got really draggy for me. It had a really promising premise, but it just felt like the storyline didn't flow as much as I thought it would.One of the characters that I actually really enjoyed was Du Lei and I even had the second-lead syndrome, until they decided to give him stalker-ish vibes! He deserved more credit and more sweet scenes with Jiang Jun earlier on in the piece.
The drama was also very unnecessarily long at 36 episodes. It really could've been finished at 26 episodes. Not too sure why the high ratings, but it just wasn't my cup of tea....

Don't be surprised if this drama makes you tear up!
I picked up this drama after a recommendation from a friend, but realised that there aren't any english subtitles available and that this drama was 80% in Taiwanese! So I heavily relied on my Chinese reading skills. This drama focuses on a female lead who is 39, hating her job and her life and just overall feeling lost (something that can be very relatable).A lot of this show takes viewers back to when the female lead was a young girl and it's here where you see themes of family, love and laughter. What I loved about this drama was how heart-warming it was. I'm pretty sure I teared up in most of this drama and every episode focussed on a memorable experience in the female lead's life. I especially think that it would be super relatable if you had grew up in that era (in the 80s) in a rural town like Tainan.
I wish this drama had english subtitles and was more widely available (there's not much information in english about this drama), but I hope it will be available on Netflix international soon because more people should watch it!

Cute storyline, cute cast and overall a good watch!
Having had watched the movie version and loving Zhou Dong Yu, it was hard at the start for me to connect to the drama version. However, the more you watch, the more you enjoy the characters (even the side ones!). Rosy Zhao is super cute and i think I've become a major fan of hers.Only downside I had was that it got a bit draggy in the middle of the drama, must have been hard for them to expand on a movie-length storyline into 24 episodes. But the last few episodes were amazing to watch!
Overall, i loved the funny and the awkward moments and would totally recommend this drama!

Promising and popular, but can be slow at times
I started Sweet Home after hearing how popular it is and my friends' recommending it. I loved how different each monster was and the CG of how real it looked. The story is also quite unique as it does go into the depth of each of the character's personality and backstory.However, I wish that they answered more of the questions around "why?". I felt like I was confused most of the time in the drama and some episodes can be quite slow. The pacing is quite odd as it starts off with a great concept and then slows down until the last 2 episodes.
Still, the acting was really solid and so was that soundtrack, especially when a monster approached. I might check out the webtoon too.

Worth a re-watch again and again!
Just took me a few years to get around watching it, but I'm so glad I did. The OST is hands down 10/10. the best OST i've heard. It took me awhile to get hooked into this drama, I found the first half a bit slow and odd (especially the large age gap between the ML and FL), but I really enjoyed the second half after I got used to it and really felt the characters shine. The storyline is really different, and they do a great job at explaining the backstory.I've now got all my candles lit and hoping that Gong Yoo just magically appears behind me.
