Main couple is the highlight!

This is a decently well executed high school/ uni romance drama, but the main couple scenes are definitely the highlight.

I love how the whole drama is sort of a flashback from their wedding (similar to Le Coup de Foudre). The overall plot in the end was decent and paced well, but nothing special. The main couple open up to each other quickly. They have different backgrounds, but they match up to each other very well. I love how the female lead is smart, strong and willing to speak up for herself. The main couple scenes are just too sweet, sometimes way too cheesy, but I still loved those. It is the first time seeing the main actor/actress, but they both did an excellent job. Especially the way the ML stares at the FL just melts the hearts of the viewers!

As a lot of people have already given it a 10/10, without much criticism, I will just list some not-so-good stuffs of this drama:
- last ~8 episodes story line was not really interesting to me
- introduction of way too many love triangles, but then never taking the time to develop any of them properly
- too many annoying side characters that I had to skip the scenes of
- the second couple is really boring, and the way their "relationship" developed makes absolutely no sense. They spent quite some time of this couple, while there were way more interesting characters (e.g. Duan Ning, Wen Yue) that deserved their character development time.

Super solid slice-of-life family/friends drama

If you like realistic slice-of-life dramas, this is one for you. There are no major "typical" drama plots, but instead focuses on the life of 5 friends and their respective families. The story writing is great: each of the 5 main characters have their own flaws, but somehow their group dynamic just meshes really well. Within a single episode, it can make you laugh out loud, but also be in tears at the end. The casting is also perfect: even though the actors/actresses are quite young and inexperienced, they portray their roles perfectly. I'm especially impressed with Silvery Li. If I had to critize one thing, it would be that some relationships/scenes were repeated too often/ became too draggy/forced.

Overall, this is a great, solid drama to pick up. The quality of the drama stays pretty similar throughout the whole drama, so just watch the first 2 episodes to decide whether you will like it.

Strong start, mediocre second half.

This is a relatively well written drama, with a meaningful storyline. However, I do not think the timetravel aspect added much to this drama. The story is also extremely mediocre after they entered college. This would be a 9/10 drama if the drama ended around ep. 16.

The characters are quite awesome, even though I think the acting was sometimes weak. Each character has its own beliefs and quirks that make them standout, without being overly obnoxious. The dynamic of the friend group is the highlight. Some character actions and development is really questionable....

Overall this drama has obvious flaws, but I would still recommend it to you. Especially if you like dramas like Lovely Us, where the emphasis is on youth and friendships with a side touch of family issues.

Great sport-focused drama about the life of top athletes. Drama focuses a lot on the different aspects of training, and the people don't really do much outside the skating training place (which is quite realistic). Many people have ambitions to make it, but in the end, it is a combination of luck, skills and timing that determine who can be the top athletes. The story is well constructed, but nothing special. Trajectory of main lead is also very cliche and predictable. The story is mostly carried by the conversation between people.
The acting is really strong, especially the cast of the earlier timeline. I really loved many of the "side" characters as well, character development is really good here, wish we had seen even more of some of the athletes' background. The story is a bit complex and slow in the beginning, but after a few episodes you will start making sense of every connection between the past and present. It also ramps up and becomes better the second half (surprisingly for a c-drama). Would recommend to watch.

wonderful slice-of-life about self-development

spoiler-free general thoughts:
I had such high hopes for this movie after seeing the trailer and cast, and it did not disappoint. The story is quite "uneventful" in the sense that there is not a lot of big dramatic moments, but leans more towards slice-of-life. The pacing is really nice tho. The trailer itself it quite deceiving, as I expected romance to be the main point, but the focus is more on the development of the four main characters. With the help of eachother, they learn about their "bad" traits and step outside their comfort zones to make a change to it. The cast displays their characters greatly as well and I love how the different characters just meshes with each other. Overall, a really enjoyable movie!

SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT:
SPOILERS

Story:
I'm glad they did not try to the Akari-Rio situation got "resolved" relatively quickly and did not become the main focus of this movie. They did a great job at highlighting each characters' flaw and the background what led to those flaws. It has so many wonderful scenes like: Akari-mom late night talk, Kazu-brother scenes, Akari-Yuna push etc. Every scene has its purpose, no fillers. I wish we could have seen a bit more Rio-Yuna scenes tho.

Characters:
Let's talk about characters, as their chemistry is the highlight of this movie!

// Yuna: "Yuna is a really good girl": i could not have said it better, Akari! Only has good intentions, but severally lacks confidence. Despite that, she still is a wonderful friend to Akari and is not afraid to speak up when it matters the most. I love how Rio made her into the best version of herself. I loved her glow-up.
// Rio: The guy who tells other to accept rejections, so you can close a chapter, but unknowingly was doing it to himself. Yuna's scolding really woke him up. Glad he was finally able to move on.
// Kazu: Your typical character who is selfless with little self-respect. On the surface he is fine with how things are going, but deep inside he knows it is not alright. Finally with the help of Akari (and his brother) he realized he needs to stand up to his feelings and dreams he want to pursue!
// Akari: Minami did a stellar job on her acting. The self-labelled "not good girl", but she is not far off from Yuna. Another selfless character that will sacrifice everything to keep her family together, without telling anyone else. I love ow encouraging she is to her friends!

Overall, this is such a solid romance/friendship/youth movie with incredible cast and story-writing. The characters are all great with obvious flaws, but in the end they work it out together. 9/10, would recommend and watch again.

Actual realistic slice-of-life masterpiece

I can not truly put in words how much I enjoyed this drama. This drama is as the plot summary suggests about characters in their 20/30's that deal with various life problems. However, with this drama, these problems actually feel relatable and not just made up for the sake of it. It even touches on topics that you don't often see about in other dramas.
The story writing is phenomenal: all the plot points are intriguing and the pacing is really on-point. You get to experience so many emotions within a single episode. The conversations felt so organic and filled with adlibs from the actors. There are no overly annoying, dramatic characters, or big plot twists, but instead, we got a cohesive story with a lot of "mundane" conversations. There are also multiple couples, but romance is not at all the focus of this drama.
The casting is also great. Zhou Yutong as always was amazing. Ren Su Xi is with a 10/10 performance imo. There is nothing to critize her for, and i felt like she kinda freestyled most of here lines, so amazing to watch. Overall the cast is super solid, even the "weaker" actors were well above average.

There is so much more to say about this drama, but for that i suggest you to watch this drama, you wont regret it. I do not rewatch dramas, but i feel like i will rewatch this drama in the future, as it is really a one-of-a-kind.

Great and casual

This drama pretty much hits all the typical modern romcon cliches/tropes, so don't watch it if you expect an original story. However, the story itself was pretty realistic without too much drama or dragging it out too long. The "annoying" side characters also did not overstay their welcome.

It was satisfying to watch that the communication was good between the main leads (small problems got fixed quickly, which is realistic for a functioning relationship). Did not really care about the "third couple", so in my opinion they could have not included that and cut the drama shorter. I see a lot of people complaining about the FL, but she did pretty well. All in all, this is definitely a watch for romcon lovers who want a fluffy romcon.

intriguing drama about learning to forgive and accept yourself

I want to keep this review spoiler-free, but I will just start by saying the plot is bad, so don't pick this up if you want perfect story writing. This is a drama that is about adult individuals that each have their own problems and troubled past, but throughout the drama they are learning to forgive themselves and move forward from it. Even though a lot of the plot revolves about romance, it is not really the main focus of this drama. The relationships between the different people is quite complex and confusing, but the casting is great. Each played their role as good as it gets (even if this meant i hated some of the characters). The main OST is amazing.

Overall, I would still recommend this drama if you love dramas that are more about "heavier" topics with character development. Despite quite some "wtf" moments, i still binged watched this.

short story about "what could've been"

I chose to watch this drama for the FL after finishing "Lovely Us", so I went in without any expectations. The cast is refreshing and really solid, however this is your pretty typical "time travel" drama, but it is executed well. It leaves a bittersweet feeling, knowing how small changes in the past could have transformed a miserable, unfortunate life of the FL.

Overall, this is just a solid drama that gets straight to the point. It is only 5 episodes long, so definitely give this one a try.

Great realistic family-focused drama!

Story:
Hats off the the storywriter of this drama. Such a touching and realistic way of portraying the goods, but also not so-goods of life. Really like the different types of dynamics between the lead characters and also how each have their own flaws that are highlighted very well. The ¨evil¨ characters are also not evil for no reason. However, the pacing off some sections of the drama is really off, especially the episodes towards the end is so rushed. I wish they resolved the final problem in prior episodes, so the ending did not feel so rushed. I also did not care about the ¨main romance¨, as i did not feel the romantic chemistry, nor did it attribute anything to the story.

Acting/Cast:
Almost perfect, no one was ¨really bad¨. The actors/actress of the characters ZQ, CT and HC were excellent, with HC(Tu Song Yan) performance being one of the best i have ever seen in a drama. The really lacking actress of the important characters was JJ´ actress. In most scenes she was fine, but in more emotional/intimate scenes, she often looks like a deer in the headlights: just no suitable expressions with just open wide eyes.

Overall:
As the title says, just a solid all around family-focused drama that will make the cry, laugh within the same episode. The chemistry of the main family is amazing and so realistic. I would probably not rewatch this (only would rewatch the episodes prior to time jump), as it does has it notable flaws in the second half. Despite the flaws, every episode ending make me really anticipate the next, as i also watched every episode on release.
