Soft Sam = Best Sam

Sam being so clueless about her developing feelings for Mon is so endearing. She has always been the type to think of the words she's going to say before they slip out her tongue, but with Mon? Her thoughts escape her with no problem, indicating she must feel secure and relaxed with her enough to willingly let go of her cautious self. "I feel so relaxed when you're near." ... No thoughts, just this line from Sam to Mon.Their photo session together + the pool scene killed me, literally. They deserve the world and more.Lastly, can we talk about their tension? Good lord.

A colorful start.

I appreciate how they showed each character's essence and personality in the first episode (it makes you not just interested in the main couple, but in the supporting characters as well). The flashbacks and backstories provide a great starting point for new watchers and for those who haven't read the novel yet, to understand the current state of the main characters and understand their side. Overall, this was a great pilot episode. It will surely leave you yearning for the following episodes to come out faster.

Iconic.

I'm not a massive fan of rewatching episodes, since something about the thought of doing so irks me, cause I know what happens anyway, so what's the point? However, this episode got me to rewatch it a solid three times. That's how good it was.Mon finally being able to reject Nop outright with the help of Sam convincing her and putting the dude in his place, was so satisfying and such an eye opener to the reality that women shouldn't be scared to say no to a go just because they're scared of being hurt by them once they do.I'm so glad Sam saw through Nop's intention and stood up for Mon. She was honestly so fucking fine for it. As for Mon, I'm extremely proud of her for sticking up for herself. It honestly frustrates me that she had to clarify this shit for like the 6th time to Nop because no woman should have to repeat herself over and over again in something that she has already made clear. I hope Nop gets a grip in the following episodes or even better, I hope we never see him again. They didn't just give us the biting scenes from the novel, they really had to make us go mental by sneaking in a couple of kisses on top of them, and I just... DUWDHUSDMSUDHDMWHonestly, so far, the best episode of GAP.

Square one

The best part of this episode is that Mon finally realized that Sam is genuinely not the idealized version she had in her mind. Hearing what Sam's friend said about her nature, made Mon get to know her better despite her attraction to her going back to square one. I always believed Mon has still yet to figure out that she likes Sam more than just her idol and so, getting back to square one is actually perfect for her to discover that she's capable of loving Sam even if she's the way she is and this time, not just as an admirer of her but as a romantic lover. The fact that they'll both gradually get to know each other and develop feelings for each other in the process just makes this whole slow burn better.ps. Khun Sam being jealous is so fine but at the same time, tells so much about how scared she is to lose things that make her happy, knowing that she rarely does find stuff that genuinely puts a smile on her face.

Dynamic and chemistry overload.

The episode went about Sam and Mon's love-hate relationship, which was extremely entertaining and endearing. The way they highlighted Sam's lack of knowledge in the romantic attraction department made me wheeze. The girl clearly is starting to develop something for Mon, however, her lack of experience in dating from being a member of the royal family got her acting like a clueless puppy in love. Can't wait for her development when it comes to communicating and expressing her feelings. A solid episode overall.
