A creative and enjoyable mini-drama. Visually, it offers a fresh take on the afterlife with its kitschy, neon colored island version of purgatory and the concept of a supernatural cooking competition and using food to connect with recently deceased souls was fun too. As you can imagine with such a short run time the characters aren't deep, the ML is the only one who has any kind of arc, but their personalities are strong enough to make an impact on the viewer. The grim reapers are stripped of their mystique and presented more like everyday office workers than fearsome magical entities which suited the show's lighter, quirkier take on the great beyond.
