RETALIATION TIME

NON SPOILER :

'I'll be the light in the darkness '
This 2nd season started with such high hopes and for good measure, it has delivered every bit of it.
Outstanding finish to such an elegant drama.
This drama is an ART.
An art of reflection for a power struggle in the most heinous way.
When I first saw the 1st season, It left me with numerous questions in my mind and this season answered all of them graciously.
Politics is a tool, if used in the right way is beneficial for the people.
Ardently, it ends with a dark theme just near the end to give you a little shock.
I'm sure many of you wouldn't have been able to catch it since it was in a mixed tone but the writer saw it through.

ACTING: The whole cast needs to be applauded.
Both Lee Jung Jae ( Tae Jun) and Kim Gab Soo (Mr Song) are the souls of this drama.
Especially Kim Gab Soo, I've seen him numerous times now.
He's a LEGEND ! for playing villains every time. ^^
Phenomenal acting. They deserve awards for this one I'm truly convinced.

DIRECTION: Mind-boggling direction of the year 2019.
Songs: Cool and reflective to the nature of the drama.
Romance: It's pure mature romance, nothing cheesy but in terms of realism you would definitely want to have a relationship like our both leads do.
That kind of understanding and trust, just makes you want to have someone in your life ^^

SPOILER with thoughts on ending :

Seriously Song Hui Seop is the most cunning and sagacious person you'll ever come across which is outstandingly awe-striking.

Hye Won is truly a great woman.
Both Miss Kang and she are examples so strongest female characters I've cross across in dramas.

Noticing Mr Song's driver's face when he got stumbled by the news, said and reflected a lot.
His face screamed :
' It's all over now.
It's been piled up so high, it's gotta fall '

The writer though went for a satisfying and positive ending,
but gave us this line

' Don't think it's over
As long as I'm breathing, you'll see me again in this world.'
This is a truth none can deny.
People forget that the world doesn't end in a day.
It continues, even before you and even after you.

Tae jun resigning tells you a lot. Tells you how he's won the battle but lost the war.
To be that gracious even at the end, I'm just speechless.

He used his situation well and did the best. He knew he no longer belonged there.

That last scene had an abyss hiding.
That call from the blue house to him was a huge troll and sarcasm on the ending that the writer went for.
That ending scene was dark and profound.
And he meant there's only one thing he can do.

' One light can't lighten up the night.
Deepening darkness can sometimes only be fought with darkness.
Yet I must keep my light alive even in the dangerous darkness. '

Penetrate the darkness as he has been.

It will be bliss if they go for a season 3 coz with that ending they can.

PS: The Best drama of 2019.
