For a crime drama, I remember you wasn't as gruesome as others, but a strong character driven story. Following the life of criminal profiler, Hyun Lee, Hyun returns to South Korea to assist the crime unit with several murder cases. Hyun's adult life was shaped by a tragic incident at 10 years old. A chance encounter with accused murder, Jun Yeong, changes Hyun's relationship with his father, who was an criminal investigator. Hyun's father is murdered, and his younger brother, Min, goes missing the night of the murder. Due to the event, Hyun lost his a majority of his childhood memories. In present day Hyun works closely with criminal team, and detective, Cha Ji An, who has a connection to his past. Reoccurring characters, lawyer, Jung Seon Ho, and medical examiner, Lee Jun Ho, bring an air of mystery to the series. From Seon ho's almost creepy smile, and Jun ho's curiosity you begin to wonder who they really are or if you're just suspicious of everyone! I don't personally like series with grisly crime scenes. This drama is realistic in it's reasoning for the criminal mindset, but not so horrific it's too much of a mirror of real life. For the criminal Jun Yeong, you learn how and why he came to be. I wish the romance was a bit more turned up, but the main focus is the murder cases. A good series to binge watch! The young actors playing Hyun and Min are cheek pinching cute! The added bonus of handsome DO, Park Go Bum, Kim Jae Yeong, and Seo In Guk, just make you want to watch this over and over.
