Best modern day drama of 2023 ?

This is hands down my favorite modern day drama of 2023, right behind ‘My Dearest’, the best historical for this year. I love the flip/flop between present day and 1500 years ago in ‘Moon in the Day’. The male and female leads have amazing chemistry on screen and I am loving the soundtrack. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼for a happy ending!

One of the things that’s most endearing about this show is the way the male lead protects the female lead. All throughout her life (lives) really. I really hope he doesn’t die in the end!

One of the best kings I’ve seen so far!

Wow! I am loving this king. I even love the court officials (well most of them- those that are closest and loyal to him anyways) and as everyone knows that’s not very common. These series usually have us all hating the backstabbing court officials, lol. The writers did great character building and story telling in this one too! This is such a great series and I can’t wait to see what happens next. It’s a must see for every historical sageuk lover! I’ve been anxious every week to see the next episode.

Top 5 Sageuk of all time!

This is at the top of my list of best sageuks of all time! Maybe my favorite series of all time. Korean and American. I’ve seen so many sageuks, but this one has such a special place in my heart. It’s probably been two years ago since I first watched it, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched it since then. It’s one of those that never gets old. I’m still so upset though that Hwi, and Seung Ho died, not to mention his little sister. My favorite part was at the end when Seung Ho told Hwi that he and his little sister were his country. I inwardly cried for probably two weeks over this series and that part in particular. I guess one of the greatest things about sageuks is they teach so many valuable lessons… mostly that of perseverance, endurance, honor, the strength and value of friendship, suffering well, and loyalty. This one does just that! And that’s just scratching the surface- There’s so many other great take-aways from it. ‘My Country’ you stole my heart and I’m forever thankful that you did. Thank you to the writers and to this all-star amazing cast! Each one of them were perfect in their roles and also in their acting! ❤️
