I really liked this but...

The story felt a bit lacking if I had to be completely honest. Of course, this often happens when you condense the source material to make it easier for drama run times, so my stubborn heart refuses to review this without thinking about the manga first. I love everything about the manga and this was a faithful adaptation overall. I wish the romance between Tsuge and Minato could've been more fleshed out instead of everything falling into place at the end. Not to mention the dramatic elements like that kiss scene with Minato and his friend in front of Tsuge was a bit much for me. As well as the bar scene where Adachi was trying to hide from Kurosawa. I am not a big fan of melodrama so it's probably my pet peeve. But there are many positives about this that I cannot ignore. the casting for this was amazing, especially Adachi and Kurosawa. Their actors brought the characters to life on screen in their own way. The romantic chemistry between them was great! I could see the real KuroAda in their dynamic. The soundtrack and BGM were pretty decent and it set the mood. But now that the anime has come out, I cannot help but wish it was more like the anime adaptation with the writing and pacing. But it was pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

MY BUTTHOLE CAN TELL A BETTER STORY THAN THIS!

The whole uni setting pissed me with how ridiculous and stupid it was. Also for a guy who is supposed to be the head of a department known for their looks, his haircut is worse than fucking Rock Lee!
Also at first, I thought it was modelling majors vs physical education majors, but talk about the disappointment.
I only watched one and a half of the first two episodes, so I truly do not deserve to give such a scathing review to something that may get better later on (Which I highly doubt given how the first two episodes were downright awful). The first episodes are supposed to hook you with a glimpse of something spectacular, but I got more ASS in writing for these episodes than I would for a porno!
This garbage truly does not receive the 7. 5 stars given to it, based on the first two episodes alone.

I JUST COULDN'T FINISH IT...

I'll be honest. I'm probably the last person who should be reviewing this drama as I gave up on completing it. But I have my reasons. First of all, as someone who enjoys the romcom genre, this drama did not appeal to me in that sense. The first three episodes had no comedy even though it was advertised as such. It was overly dramatic to me, which is distasteful to me personally.
Then comes the romance part of this series: NONE whatsoever. I did not see even the slightest bit of reason why Third would fall hard for a scumbag like Khai. You feel bad for Third to a certain extent until you realize he's a complete idiot for falling for the dude who makes a less-than-ideal boyfriend, let alone a good friend. Like seriously?!
What has Khai ever done for Third to pine after his dick for three whole years? Third takes a beating for this petty fucker while this guy thinks his little date with a girl is more important than a friend like that, to the point of even lying. In my personal opinion, this relationship felt doomed from the beginning. So it felt even worse seeing Two hyping up Third to continue. NO! Two knows how much of an ass Khai is.
I agree with Third. this 'movie' should have ended after he got his heartbroken. Or at least maybe find someone who appreciates him. So whenever I see him cry, I can't help but think that you should not be crying for being a cuck in a relationship that never even existed to begin with. Maybe these issues got resolved as the story continued, I don't know.
and for the things I liked about this drama:
The cinematography was nice.
The trope of them being film majors was pretty great, as these uni dramas are mostly engineering, law, dentistry or architecture majoring cliches.
The acting was pretty good but I hated the styling of the characters, especially Third's hairstyle.
well, other people may have enjoyed it but it was a miss for me.
