Great show - don’t be fooled by negative reviews ?
I’m honestly not sure why people are rating it so low, some are valid and constructive whilst others just seem to give it a low rating for the sake of hate.
Either way, despite only being one episode in, I kind tell this is gonna be a show I’ll like to watch.
It’s fun, entertaining- the comedy writing is super funny, the cinematography/producing/directing is of a high quality, and the acting is on point. The plot is also very interesting/intriguing. For one, because it’s relatable, and two, because it’s going to be interesting to see what the finale is going to be like and how it’s going to turn out that way (most significant to me, personally being, how do Jane & Ryan get together and what kinds of struggles they’ll meet along the way).
If anything, know that OffGun has never had a bad series and takes extra consideration into each show they choose, so it’s likely it’ll be enjoyable at least to a good extent, if you’re wary of that.
The one constructive criticism I’ve really seen is of the volume of the music, esp in comparison to the talking volume - which could be easily fixed (it is only one ep so far so don’t worry that much). <- Personally, I was so invested that I didn’t pay attention to that at first. Also I trust that some of the worries about the substance of other characters or the uniqueness of the plot in general, will be fixed as the plot develops :)
Either way, highly recommended watching & seeing for yourself how you feel about it - please don’t go in with preconceived notions as a lot of good effort was put into making it 🙏
Thank you! 😊
