incredible detective story

I absolutely love detective stories and shows, I've watched so many in my life and when I saw this drama I couldn't help, but want to watch it. The casting was so good and I saw a familiar face here as well (Wang Yan Yang).

What I love about this show is that it's unlike other crime shows where they spend one episode just solving one crime and the episodes have no connection. The characters are also good and their storylines are interesting. Although I tend to dislike female characters in Chinese dramas, I quite liked the female characters in this and they weren't annoying or crying every five seconds.

This drama is among the series I have rated a 9, which isn't many and it deserves it. It's full of plot twists and mystery, I love it. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and a detective story.

bai yu makes a good detective

I was sceptical at first when I spotted this drama because I don’t really enjoy watching historical dramas unless it’s wuxia, but after having seen a few, I decided to go for it.

I really enjoyed this drama and I love the dynamic between Luo Fei, Qin Xiaoman and Ben Jieming. The cases were interesting and I got to put my deduction skills to the test to try and figure out who, why and how. I did manage to guess correctly a few times and that made me glad because it’s a highlight of watching investigation shows for me.

The ending was disappointing because I was expecting more of a Reichenbach Fall type of thing, but all I got was a cliffhanger and more questions.

I have to admit, I’m starting to distrust therapists more by the day and I’m considering never visiting a psychologist again…

Excellent investigation!

I didn't have much expectations for this when I started it, but I grew to love it. I loved the dynamic between Qin Ming, Dabao and Lin Tao, their friendship made me happy. I was able to predict a few cases which made this more interesting to watch because I love being able to guess for myself what happened and who did it. The cases weren’t disappointing at all and they were very different, which made the show more interesting. This also proved to me once again, that Zhang Ruo Yun is a great actor. I guessed pretty early on that this would have something of a Holmes & Moriarty dynamic, they did not disappoint.

As a last input, Dabao has great taste in fashion.
