the story: its about 2 opposites meeting and supporting each other and making it big..the rich perfect boy and poor unsophisticated girl..a tragedy in the past..yes yes it goes down that road..what makes it worth watching? what makes it different from other music related movies?..its probably that the variety of the cast is quiet entertaining and there is never a dull moment..the actress insists on being herself no matter how much she is criticizer..its a feel-good movies on the whole..as for me i COULD NOT stand the actress! she got on my every nerve! i stopped it and started watching it...i needed a long time before i could stand her again..the sad thing is i LOVED the rest of the cast they were perfect it their roles!! but a lot of people loved her so maybe its a personal taste..i suggest..watch the first episode for a few min..if u think u can stand or even like the actress..go ahead watch the rest of the drama..u will probably love it..but if in the first few min u cant stand her..stop watching the show..before ur curiosity for the story takes over..otherwise u will be really really frustrated!

so almost everybody who watches asian drama has seen one or the other version of hana kimi.. i have tries seeing them all..and with a very open mind..my favorite as im sure it is for most people is the 2007 japanese version.. i expected the remake to be an improvement or atleat more entertaining than the previous one (why else would the make one??)
but it was EXTREMELY disappointing.. the characters are trying way too hard! u dont see them grow..most of the time ur left wondering if u missed something somewhere...the nakatsu is trying to copy Toma Ikuta to the last eyelash and is sad to watch.. mizuki was decent.. this one definitely look more like a boy than maki (im not sure if thats a good thing coz we know she is female anyway) and now to the BIGGEST disappointment of them all! IZUMI SANO shun oguri did a brilliant job portraying sano u could understand and sympathize with shun oguri"s sano..u could see him open up little by little..see him grow and u came to like the characters more and more as the time passed..namba and sekime too..but here u r left with a fluttery sano who u end up wondering if he really needed help on the first place
the good points;
it manages to be what hana kimi is supposed to be funny light and has its moments. it is not a comeplete copy of the original so thats good, so watch it if u are willing to with an open mind coz even through its not as good as the original its atill a good show..but pleases dont forget what i said about the open mind :D

u dont see the lead female falling all over or crawling under or over some dark staircase in a corner crying..mizuki is fresh! shun oguri plays is role over perfectly to very end..u can see him grow and come to understand him little by little and empathize..nakatsu is the BEST.. u cannot stop yourself taking his side rather than sano's.EVERYBODY..I MEAN EVERYBODY..is perfect in their roles
music
the music too was perfect..its right..mellow and not to ur face
bad points:
they took "the drama" dorms comedy a bit too far sometimes and became a bit too silly.
too much cross dressing..some guys should just NOT ever were female clothes..its disturbing to watch
some people think there is not enough romance..but i still thing it was perfect! u have to watch this show
