Anything but swallow

If you're looking for a movie that contains a lot of love and romance, this isn't for you. You only realize after watching this movie what you have actually witnessed, regardless of what you think about it when you press play. It is a movie that tackles a lot of psychological problems and it is often misinterpreted by viewers. What makes this movie so worthwhile is often overlooked. The movie really is touching, not in a romantic way, but it will definitely capture your sympathy. If you're here for the steamy scenes, there's better movies for that. The negative aspect comes with the lack of dialogs, as I would certainly have enjoyed more backstory to the characters. However, again, it isn't a movie that's there for the romance and relationship building. Definitely worth a try, it isn't your typical lovey-dovey storyline as I personally don't think there's love involved at all.

I thought people were exaggerating

Well... turns out they weren't. This drama is worth your time, but only up to episode eight. As other's claim, it went downhill from there. Don't be naive like me and ignore the reviews just because it looks promising at first glance. If you're looking for an ending you'll be satisfied with and a drama that keeps your interest all way through, this isn't for you. I am personally very into thrillers and I bet you are too! It starts out so good and promising that even I thought people left poor reviews for no reason. It was totally my type of drama and I was very happy to have found this content as I am currently in a lack of dramas to watch. However, this didn't make the cut and there's so many better thrillers out there that didn't mess it up this much. Also, the problem doesn't come down to anything but how the male lead develops in the end and completely goes against his own morals. More or less, he becomes the bad guy in the screenwriter's desperate attempt to build up for a possible second season. All of which gave the opposite effect: I have lost all reason to watch another season. Again, if you want to save yourself some time and disappointment, make episode eight your ending and you will leave satisfied. My rating is high solely for the first eight episodes, as I think episode eight would have been the perfect way to end the drama. If I were to only rate the four last episodes... let's just say it wouldn't be this good. And if it would have ended like it should have, it might just have been one of my favorite thrillers.

PROPER apologies

That's all I have to say in order to explain why I am writing this review, as I found the main plot to be lacking and rather cliché. I would not have finished this drama if it wasn't for the main leads and their chemistry. With proper apologies, I mean that the main couple acknowledges their wrongdoings and own up to them immediately, which is something you rarely see in other series. Especially not when it comes to the male lead, which really made this one grow on me. It's almost as if dramas nowadays normalize the idea that guys shouldn't admit that they say/do things wrong which is more than bothersome. And I am not talking about just saying one's sorry, I am talking about actually explaining why as well. This was indeed something refreshing and something that proved that dramas can have mature couples with amazing chemisty.

This drama is basically centered around the couple and it doesn't have much of a story to it. But the maturity and all of the adorable moments does make it worth watching solely for the romance. I have to admit that I did skim through the last few episodes because even their relationship got me bored since I was losing interest, but I would recommend this to anyone who is just looking for a drama with a cute romance. I also have to appreciate how the male lead was so accepting of the female lead. Cheers.

An easy-to-watch drama

This drama for sure deserves recognition. This amazing cast truly knows how to deliver some incredible characters. The constant plot-twists compels you into watching the next episode. Everything is on point and you cannot help but fall for the charm of these actors. The only thing that prevents this from being a masterpiece is the comedy, without the humor, it would have been a real thriller to count on. Even so, the comedy still makes it easy to watch and prevents it from becoming too serious, and I believe some may prefer it that way since it gives more personality to the characters. The romance isn't a big part of it all but it must be the most natural and best displayed romance I have ever seen on-screen in dramas. It doesn't come off as forced and you cannot help but love them together.

Something unexpected

Let me tell you that this drama put me in tear more than once. As I begun to watch this drama, I did not expect it to be as good as it proved itself to be. It got the perfect mixture of action filled with one of the most heartfelt romances. I admit that it took a few episodes to get into the drama fully and for the plot to improve, but it was definitely worth it. The main couple also delivered amazing chemistry on-stage, not to mention the incredible acting over-all by Hyun Bin. Their relationship felt very normal and believable, it came naturally and they displayed such emotion. There's little to nothing to criticize, however some scenes were unecessary and sometimes made the drama difficult to watch in-between the main plot. The last few episodes were full of suspense and heartache.

It's the fact that I really wanted to like this drama that made me the most disappointed. It got everything but a good storyline. To be fair, it would have been on the same level as other action dramas if it would've made me care. However, it was both predictable and swallow. I could skim through hours worth of scenes and still know exactly what happened in-between. The pilot was nothing spectacular to begin with but I expected the series to save itself, which it didn't. The supportive characters, wait, who were they? They didn't even get me thinking about them in the least, they were uninteresting and insignificant to me as a viewer. But here I am, not even caring about the main leads, so what did I expect? You can't make a drama out of a dragged plot and not even add a single character arc. It could've been a masterpiece if it would have given me something to care about, but instead I have been jumping through scenes since the very first episode.

Okay, I have never before written a review on anything before actually finishing it, but I just had to with this drama. This drama is not getting the recognition it deserves and I do not understand why people are throwing this drama under the bus. The drama itself outclasses a lot of popular melodramas. It is perfect for whoever likes thrillers that aren't too dark, as this one isn't hard to watch but still keeps you intrigued. Normally I like to watch dramas with a darker plot than this, but this drama succeeded in keeping me guessing in my head what was going to happen next.

The acting as well is very good and the female lead is not your casual fragile girl, but got a likeable attitude. There might be a lot of flashbacks and scenes that replay themselves a lot, but it is bearable as they don't drag things out for long. Things progress at an enjoyable pace where they keep adding suspense to the plot rather than keeping you looking for the same answer which often ruins a plot. Instead, they solve a lot of questions fast but keeps it interesting by making new questions with the answer.

Never dropped a webtoon drama this quickly

This was not my type of genre to begin with so I already knew what I was getting myself into. I needed a short break from all of the heavy dramas I have watched since I was starting to run out of breath. That was a mistake. The first episode I finished, but it was very difficult to get through when the plot had some of the worst characters in history. Both the female and male lead are extremely arrogant. I am aware this is based on a webtoon and I am fully aware that they tend to be generally bad, but this was straight up terendous. The next episode I found myself jumping through it to look for eventual improvements, but ended up just dropping it. This is a complete waste of time even if it is short and only six episodes long, it won't give you a story to remember or make you interested in what's going to happen. Which is the crucial point for a drama like this one. Instead it is very bland and honestly the worst drama I have come across so far. Invest your time in something that actually will deliver.
