Story: A drama about cooking salty fish buns? Mm... YUM? Maybe. Haven't seen much TVB comedies set in historical periods, some previous ones had cheesy slapstick type of comedy and I hate those. This was not - which I enjoyed very much. Started out as a comedy but evolved into a drama in the later episodes which I don't mind so much because it's story development - so that's cool with me. Acting/Cast: I started this hoping the comedy presented by Wong Cho Lam would not be slapstick type and YES it was not. I think he really carried this drama and if anyone else was cast for his role, I probably would not have enjoyed this drama as much. He is one of a kind. Newcomer Stephanie, although her acting was pretty cringe worthy at times, I found her portrayal of her character really cute and like-able. I'll definitely keep an eye out for her in upcoming dramas. They were really the only two characters that had me glued to the screen. Nancy was really mediocre in this probably because of her poor character. Ben and Joey just did not interest me all that much. Music: Opening song was quirky and upbeat. Totally lifts up my mood before I dove into the actual drama itself. Rewatch Value: Probably not something I would rewatch, but who knows. Overall: It was a pretty good comedy. Enjoyed Wong Cho Lam moments very much that I went to find other dramas with him in it.. not much luck in getting my hands on them though. I would recommend to only pick this one up if you have nothing better to watch and in the mood for something light and enjoyable.
