Not what I expected... let down

Maybe I am too hard or too demanding but I expected more from this drama.
I am a fan of #mafia storylines book-addict for that matter... and after all the books and research about this topic that i have done I feel let down. I mean it was well performed for a korean because as an itilian mobster it was not accurate enough. They sugarcoated too much, the characters development was a huge mess on some of them like Hong Cha-young or Vincenzo himself. If a character was one way in the beginning why did you make it seem like they were abducted by aliens that perdormed a lobotomy on them, e.g. Mrs. Hong how someone so materialistic and cheap could suddenly undergo a complete personality transformation... her character was too annoying and too nosy which devaluated the storyline from my personal pov.
The best job was done by Taechyun, his interpretation was superb, like i really was scared in some of his scenes, a lot more than with Vincenzo (the "mobster").
The storyline was underdeveloped and too long for only a few interesting episodes, they dragged the end for too long and then the most interesting part was too rushed and sloppily closed.
Another thing that was a overdid was the neighbours from the Geumga Plaza, sometimes they focused too much on them for my liking and there wasn't anything interesting to see...
The romance was truly the worst part ??
NO CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE ML AND FL!!!
Song Joon Ki had more chemistry with the other male leads and supporting cast than with Mrs. Jeon. Not trying to be anti or anything, I am just saying the truth from my personal perspective. There were a few awkward moments between them that they could have saved us from...
Summarising it, too much expectations that were not reached and too much melo for a "thriller/crime" drama.
Hope this review is helpful for you. ???
P.S: Don't hate or impose over those with different opinions like myself in this case... let's all be respectful and mature.
P.S. II: Thanks for all the comments (goog ones, let's not leave bad comments, please).

What a disappointment!

This drama was a mess, at the beginning was difficult to understand and then when you can start guessing what is happening, everything is just bad, messy and without following the "original" plot line (to say everything changes from episode 4 onwards and the story just gets more uninteresting), there's a lot of plot holes, honestly, the visual effects are horrendous (no comments), there's some gore (not really, to be honest, I have seen more gore than this), no suspense or thriller.
The character's backgrounds, don't expect to be explained (they aren't), characters appearing, disappearing with no apparent explanation (there's little reasoning for this drama), some characters are underdeveloped that could have had more potential, others that could have been better without them...
The ending, it's difficult to explain, you could take it as a cliffhanger or not, because precisely the main character's story/problem is solved in the end so there isn't exactly a need for a season 2, the cult will be disbanded as it has lost it's followers and the problem with the monsters aka demons won't be solved, how can humans solve supernatural problems, even more so being that problem a hell one?
So what with that ending scene with the reborn woman? That it is, they are reborn if they are supposed to, I don't Chairman Jung will be reborn (as he is precisely the demon personified).

That's all for me thoughts in this hellish drama.
I don't recommend it, don't waste time on this one, even if the mc's are your favourite actors, it's not worth it, believe me I fell for that trap.

WHAT A MASTERPIECE!! HISTORICALLY ACCURATE AND PERFECTION INCARNATE

Full Review To Come Soon.

This Saeguk was incredibly fascinating, the dialogues were intricate and intense but very well constructed and actually they weren’t the typical dumb dialogues you find in most romance dramas.
The story develops in steady pace throughout all the drama except the last two episodes were there are a few timeslips. The story follows to the T the historical facts and real story between Yi San and his Concubine, without sugar-coating anything. Straight up twisted and painful story but beautiful and heart warming.
The actors Junho and Lee Seyoung did an excellent job, their interpretation of theirs characters is top notch and one of their best works. They easily transmitted the audience the feelings and thoughts they were interpreting... or trying to relay to us. They really have worked hard for this and it shows in how well it has ended, they both deserve an ovation for their portrayals of Yi San and Duk Im, their chemistry on screen and off screen really benefitted the show and made they story look more real and intense.
Congratulations for their respective wins in the MBC 2021 Drama Awards To All the crew, this drama does really deserve it.
You all did an amazing job with this one.

Highly recommended!!

Let's start on how much popularity this series has gained throughout the last months. I have to say that they did an spectacular work on this specific series, even if it was low cost it was truly the best BL I have ever seen and I have seen A LOT of them.
They has a kiss scene from episode 4 in all episodes, they even kissed twice an episode, the hot scenes were good (the best ones I have seen in an oriental {thai} bl).
The two main leads Mew Suppasit and Gulf Kanawat did an extremely impressive work, they do HAVE great chemistry they worked really hard to perform their characters and tried to represent them as in the book.
Even though this is the first time Gulf work as main lead he did a great job and left us with hanging mouths, he truly did his best and it shows.
The story was very good, very similar to the one in the book (some hot scenes were modified) but it was well developed and with an spectacular ending.
They even gifted us with a second special episode which will be released soon for international fans to watch it

I really hope for #MewGulf to have more projects together and for a season 2 of this one in particular.

Hope this has been useful for you.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED‼‼

I have to confess that when I first heard about this series I was a little sceptical, I love #peraya ship a lot and having Singto as the main lead for another BL was weird, and even more with this strange plot.

All my worries dissipated the moment I started watching it, it was such a beautiful and dramatic series. I really enjoyed I cried with it, I laughed with it.
Ohm Pawatt and Singto Prachaya had great chemistry, they worked hard for this series and the interpreted their characters perfectly. I hope people will find this series as beautiful as I did and support them as much as they deserve.
It has a happy ending. ?

~HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!~

First i want to say that this is one of the best dramas i have ever seen and i have seen a lot of them this past 3 years.

As i was watching this drama the first few chapters were a jigsaw to me, i couldn't understand some things like the behaviour of Kim Mo Young, the things he kept saying to Jin Kang brother and others things that seemed strange to me.
As the drama kept on going i started to understand and was like "oh that's why he did that" or "that's why he said that". But the more you understand everything the more anxious you would get, the more you like it. Sincerely i wanted to give it a 9.5 BUT i just can't because it was so amazing the feelings you get while watching this, the thrilling i felt as things got twisted are not feelings i felt while watching many other dramas, so a 10 is the least this drama deserves.
The cast is just spectacular In Guk was my favourite one i could see the emotions he "felt" clearly, he transmitted them and how he portrayed the role like he owned it i would even give him an OSCAR for such a great performance.
The music played was good carefully chosen for specific scenes that ended in harmonious way that give the drama extra points.

IMPRESSIVE DRAMA ONE OF THE BEST ????????????????

Okay so everyone is talking about how great and amazing this series is but i personally didn't like it very much.
From episode 1 to 5 i had a lot of fun laughing non stop and was very enjoyable, then later there was such a turn in events that bored me to death and didn't enjoy watching it anymore.
I have to say that Hyun Bin was superv in this drama but apart from that all the rest were so-so.
For me this drama is a 5, i have watched a lot more interesting and better made dramas.
The music was okay not great but not bad.
The landscapes were beautiful and i could enjoy such views.

ONE OF THE BEST FANTASIES!! GREAT WORK HERE!! ALERT OF MASTERPIECE!!

This was pretty much ➡️ AMAZING!

Great chemistry between both leads and the storyline has a development (this is almost impossible to find in almost any drama nowadays, everything is too repetitive and dull now).
The storyline goes back and forth between the past (from her POV) to the present. It centers mainly in the romance, the fantasy theme such us, helping ghost cross to the other side by letting go of their grudges, the mystery of the past story with her past lover and the also death (as she wants to die but she can't).
The characters are well constructed, my favourite is her (IU's character) her sassy personality and her toughness are different and difficult to see in korean women.
The male character is well made too with personal development/growth, his experiences teach him something that will make better in each episode.
The supporting cast was easily enjoyable too with the funny touch, I really loved their addition to the drama too.
The OST were beautiful and easy to the ears, just like the drama.
I really enjoyed watching this drama from the beginning till the end. I highly recommend it, you'll not regret and have a great time watching it.
RATE 9.5/10

Hi everyone,
I wanted to leave here a piece of my thoughts of this drama. I have to say that when I started watching it I had very high expectations as Ji Sung was the protagonist. Well when I finished it passed over my expectations, it was so insanely great, the story was well written and the dialogues were very good nothing to complex nor simple.
The acting was SPECTACULARLY AWESOME from Ji Sung's part as always but the other junior actors also did an amazing job, Se Yojng the most noted one from my part, she is evolving in such a great actress that those two together just blowed up my mind. It is my favourite drama from all the hundreds that I have seen and such saying that I watched it 6 times in a row.
I really loved.
Also the music or ost were freaking good it stocked on my mind for days my favourite one is Way Back and Pain and Death.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
I RATED IT A 10 AND REALLY DESERVED.

NEVERTHELESS,

So okay, i can guess why is "everyone" so mad with this drama's ending but I personally liked it. I find it realistic and common to be in this kind of toxic relationship around this age.
Most of all, do you have to date someone you want to get married? Why can't she just date him a bit, just because she loves what she feels when she's with him, she knew from the start just what type of person he was and what type of relationship he'll want ans she was okay.
Why is it so wrong to taste all the flowers in the garden before you settle for one?
Do you have to make wedding plans at early twenty-some ?

The story was good, a bit slow paced in some episodes for all the couples but they were easy to follow, enjoyable and relatable. Nothing too cringe (thankfully), what I liked the least was the love triangle between Park Jae Eon, Yun Na Bi and her childhood friend, I personally hate love triangles.

The acting was good for everyone, they all had great chemistry but I personally liked the best Han So-hee and Song Kang's but also Kim Min Gwi and Yang Hye Ji had good chemistry too. Song Kang's expressions in some scenes were superb, like really good! I like how much he has improved all these years, he really has worked hard!

The OST were beautiful my favourite one is LOVE LIKE THAT by Sam Kim, I'm always listening to it ??, great songs for this drama. You really should give them a try.

That's all for NEVERTHELESS, I had fun watching this drama so I can't say i don't like it because i really do. It's the most realistic romantic drama koreans have ever done, so yeah I ship.
I'm not even going to justify my likings ??

Let's respect everyone's opinion and discuss in a beautiful and respectful manner. Thank you everyone, I hope this has been of help to anyone ???

Thisis my favourite version of Boys Over Flower or Meteor Garden.
The storyline is not heavy and goes by slowly, the acting of the two main leads is incredible, most of all Dylan Wang performance is the best in the drama he portrays his role beautifuly. The only thing i don't like too much of this drama is the Ximen and Meizou stories takes a lot of storyline that could have been for Shancai and Daoming Si.
In overall i really loved this remake so that's why i give it a 10!!
GOOD JOB EVERYONE
