The Perfect Mix Of Mystery, Laughter, And Friendship

This series just keeps getting better with each season. This series is great at shifting focus on what's important and giving enough spotlight for all the girls to shine at the right moments. I also love that they don't just focus on the girls solving the mystery all the time and show some proper backstory with each important character. The puzzles keep getting better every time. I didn't have much expectations when I started watching this season because I usually watch these series for fun but I couldn't help myself from getting hooked. I tried solving the puzzles with the casts and tried guessing the culprit/villain with them. Even the ending, I love how the production team tied up the entire storyline into one big plot. I hope we get to know more about the High School Mystery Club universe in the next season, along with its main villain's full backstory just like what BIBI requested.

The casting with the "NPC" or side characters has been very interesting this season and I couldn't stop laughing when Yena's brother appeared as the brother of Mina. I don't know how he managed to keep his composure while acting but Yena's reaction was just hilarious. I also laughed so hard when the teacher who was a colleague of Doyeon in Comedy Big League was first introduced. I hope they cast more people whom the girls know because their reactions are just too funny to pass up on.

I saw improvements with the casts in terms of skills, however, I feel like some cast members need to improve more because there are still moments when only 1 or 2 members do most of the work. I love how the girls trust each other so much whenever there are tasks that need to be done separately. I also LIVE for the cute moments when the girls get excited over the food at the store. Please give these girls a bigger allowance for next season, or at least let them experience eating at their school's cafeteria just like what they requested. Overall, their chemistry as a team has gotten so much better compared to season 1 and I can't wait to see what PD JJY has in store for us and the girls.

A MASTERPIECE THAT EVERY ASIAN DRAMA FAN MUST WATCH!

I have watched countless dramas from different genres and from different countries, and I can confidently say that I have never watched a drama as amazing as this. It has been months since I finished the drama and this has become my favorite drama of ALL-TIME. Most people would first doubt if they should watch this because during the production process of this drama, the general public had mixed reviews. Regardless, once the drama came out, the show was well-received despite having no veteran actors join the cast.

The plotline was slightly confusing at first, especially to those who have not read the novel or manhua, or watched the donghua, but please do not let this discourage you and give this drama a chance. It gets so much better as the episodes progress, especially on the episodes around 20-35. It has a complicated and unique storyline that will make you never forget about this drama.

The acting exceeded my expectations. I never really had high expectations as the actors were mostly new, but they truly outdid themselves. Not only did the 2 main leads have such amazing chemistry, despite removing the BL element to pass China's censorship, but the supporting actors were just as good. I personally loved Wen Ning's character, Paul Yu really did an amazing job of portraying the character.

The OST was really well done and I love how the actors had a song dedicated to each of their characters. The duet of Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan for the theme song is just pure perfection. I also love how they used a lot of traditional instruments for the OSTs.

I salute the production crew behind this drama for outdoing themselves and creating a masterpiece despite the struggles they had to face during production from investors pulling out and receiving hate from anti-BL people and MDZS readers. I also salute Wang Yibo for keeping a professional mindset and still pushed to play the role of LWJ despite several fans leaving him after hearing that he playing the main role in a BL novel adaptation, I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of LWJ and doing an amazing job as he did. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo truly deserve the awards and new fans that they gained from this drama.

I sacrificed sleep because I was so into this drama. This drama made me feel all kinds of emotions that no other drama has ever put me through. After finishing the entire drama, I couldn't watch any new dramas for a month and spent all my time watching the special edition of this drama, the live concerts, fan-made videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes, and read the manhua version. I just couldn't let go of all the characters of the drama because I grew so attached to them.

Sometimes it's ok to be selfish.

I don't normally write reviews for dramas, but I had to make one for this. This is one of the underrated dramas that deserved more recognition.

At first glance, the storyline may seem like a typical romcom, but NO. This drama is unique in such an amazing way. Let me start with the characters. The characters in this story are not the typical romcom character you've seen, even the supporting characters are unique! We have Oh Mi Joo who's a freelance translator, who found comfort in watching movies despite having a rough past and happens to have a unique hobby of collecting fake guns. Ki Seon Gyeom who's a national athlete with elite family background and may seem aloof at first, but actually cares a lot about the people around him. He cares so much about the people around him that he forgets that sometimes he has to be selfish and take care of himself. We have Seo Dan Ah who may seem like some rude and sarcastic CEO who only cares about herself and her company and likes to play with other people's feelings, but as we get to know her more, she's actually just lonely and has no one who would look out for her. Lee Young Hwa who's seems like an easy-going, sometimes childish, art student, but we get to see that he's not as immature as we think he is. I could go on about how amazing the supporting characters are too but this review would be too long. All I can say is Seo Tae Woong is my favorite supporting character and I'd love to be an alphabet (you'll know what I mean once you watch the drama).

The storyline itself develops at the right speed, not too fast or slow, and there were no boring episodes. The storyline was just BEAUTIFUL. They gave enough time for each character to develop and the ending was perfect. The ending did not feel rushed and they gave each character the ending they deserve without ruining the plot. This is by far one of my favorite romcom dramas, where I didn't feel like the main couples had cringe-worthy moments from being too cheesy. Everything felt natural and I love how they did not make the female lead as someone who's overly dependent on the male lead. The main couple displayed a great example of what a healthy relationship should be like. The drama taught me that it's ok to be selfish sometimes and that we all have to fall in order to learn how to stand up on our own. I also think that we all need a boyfriend like Ki Seon Gyeom (or a girlfriend like Oh Mi Joo). The actors definitely did justice to the storyline and characters they played, they did such an outstanding job.

The OST for this drama is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I have been listening to them nonstop on Spotify because it's so good! The songs all matched the scenes they were used in. There wasn't a time where I felt like the song they used was inappropriate or unsuitable for the scene.

Do give this drama a try and I promise you will not regret it! I couldn't stop watching the drama once I started. I would love to rewatch this drama soon!
