WHAT. 10/10.

THIS K-DRAMA IS ONE OF THE BEST I’VE EVER SEEN, WOAH. I watched it once (I wasn’t really paying attention to it), and the second time I’ve found that it was alright. HOWEVER, the third time as I was really paying attention to the fine details, my eyes were bawling. This film was soul-crushing, got me gripping the sheets and the producers now have to buy me insurance for the pain they caused me (in a good way.) I love that Bora got closure in the end, and she finally understood why he never called back. I do hate that we never knew how he died, but I do think uncertainty and the sadness of “what if?” is a big aespect that gets instilled in this melodrama. Kim Yoo-jung and Byeon Woo-seok had played their roles so incredibly that I felt the chemistry and life that was being put in 😭

100% recommend if you want a sob-fest and to cry to a first love film. don’t recommend if you want a happy ending and a love to last.

Extreme love

Wikipedia says: "Limerence is a state of mind which results from romantic feelings for another person, and typically includes intrusive, melancholic thoughts, or tragic concerns for the object of one's affection as well as a desire to form or maintain a relationship with the object of love and to have one's feelings reciprocated."

Tawan and Tunn are a couple of students, dating. But increasingly, Tunn does not want Tawan to interact with anyone else but him. Until one day he chains him up in his bed, the reason being the word is a bad place and Tawan needs to be protected and taken care off.

This is definitely NOT a nice and fluffy BL but a serious drama about mental health where the main characters happen to be gay. The story is scary, difficult and tragic: Tunn has been so traumatized in his childhood, abandoned by people he loved that he does not want to take any chances of that happening withTawan therefore confining him, without realizing that he has gone completely bonkers and overboard.

The actors are surprisingly good for a school project: the one playing Tunn really gave me the creeps, so much so I FFW a lot for the first time ever. They are very much at ease with each other and the skinship scenes were rather smooth. The direction and the filming was rather correct and though it is obviously a low budget film, they tried hard. The sound recording is bad and the subs are awful!

I liked the twist in the end: the whole story was just a school project so we have the final clap and the discussion between the actors, now being themselves and the director about the mental health issues. I personally found those a bit unclear and strange. There is also a final unexpected twist in the last minutes which actually gave me a fright!

The film is a bit too long, it should have been shorter for my taste. But that is just me!

One final question: are there really groups of girls at universities in Thailand, screaming at men they ship together ? Maximum cringe!

I'm not getting on a plane anytime soon!

Story: a very timely story, for the world we live in (unfortunately). This movie had action, drama, a speck of humor, as well as shining a light on how strong the survival instinct is for people, often at the expense of others. There were a lot of moments when I got angry at the injustices that these poor people on the plane were facing.

Acting: Very good, especially Siwon, who was the standout. I love seeing actors that I've seen in multiple other works. It feels kind of like getting together with old friends.

Music: Was there music?

Rewatch Value: For me, low, since I know the ending. This is a movie that I think can be enjoyed more fully, the less you know about it going in.

Overall: Very good action flick.

Hide's Art Student Film For His Fans

There's a certain kind of person who loved/s the bisexual disaster that was Hideto Matsumoto - HIDE.
This was a short art film by HIDE that honestly to me, was just a representation of hide as a man. Confused, overwhelmed and over-sexed, if not really struggling with his sexuality but seems very likely.
I watched this a few years ago on youtube. From what I can remember, it has an alien-esque visual to it of 2 'angels' or other worldly creatures would rebel against their 'God' and are sent to earth as punishment, where, as a fan, I really felt like was just a glimpse inside the man's head.
There's no talking, it's just 'babble' speech, running around Tokyo with a lot of grainy footage and symbolism, with a scene of sexual assault that turns a little homo-erotic. The characters are attacked and abused into suicide where they return to their God and abandon it entirely for it's cruelty.
It makes me think of the kind of films I would have made as a student. It's more of a self expressive visual piece that set the stage for hide's solo music.

The usual Totono Kuno

I LOVED IT !!!! Normally I don't enjoy the drama movies as much as the original work, but this was really good! Some may say it is predictable but you know what? Movies that allow you to guess are fun, I don't really care because for me it's about the storytelling, about how you convey the story and turn it into something splendid. This movie did it for me, and I can't wait to see more of Kuno's world, they better give it to us. Now whether it is better than the drama, in my opinion the movie managed to stay consistent, two well deserved hours for a new case, following Kuno's usual way of resolving things and well, being as he is. Good acting and a good story so I do recommend it.
If you haven't watched it, there's mentions of rape, violence and murder.

Fast revenge

The beginning was satisfying. The end was very satisfying. The middle - not so much.

It was a great idea: an ex-assassin seeking revenge on behalf of a friend. It was too short to fully explore the story. It felt like the writer wanted to say something and decided to say it really quickly.

The main actor's portrayal of the character was great: the concentration and quiet confidence was there, but it's a shame that there wasn't more depth to the character and story. The villain was beautiful (such a strong stereotype that even if we didn't know it was him, we would guess it was him) and evil enough for you to wish that someone would put him in his place.

What I liked: the fight scenes were great
What I didn't like: some of the fight scenes were too graphic

It's watchable...ish....

very NSFW with a messier plot

Overall: the title on GagaOOLala is "Sex Drifter" which is pretty appropriate. This is more of a messy plot and less idealized romance. It is a Japanese pink film which is about an hour long and very heavy on the explicit NSFW scenes. I wish they would have not opened with alternating NSFW scenes because I wasn't sure what the relationships were between the characters. I also wanted more pleasure instead of pained expressions and I will ignore the lube that magically fell from the ceiling. This movie is for people who likes story's about something fictional or if you want kill some time it's perfect to watch. You don't have to listen carefully and still manage to know about plot. It's as simple as possible.

Now, I'll say something about movie.
Simple plot is good point to watch for someone who don't like complicated stuff to watch.
Actors acting here was pretty good I can say. They show emotions properly.
Special effects wasn't too well realised but you can bear it.

So in the end I can only say this movie wasn't bad but just wasn't in my style that's why I gave only 4.5/10 star for overall.

Alright

Sat on this movie for a long time and finally got to watching it.
There were a couple of good scares that I really enjoyed. However, this movie is mostly cheap jump-scares so if you despise those, I'd suggest you pass on this.
I also liked how the spirits/ghosts looked, although this is subjective.

There is one plothole that stuck out to me regarding May, like the other review mentioned, although this can just be chalked up to her name being written and the malevolence of the spirit Miko.

Not much rewatch value, but a decent cast with good acting. All in all, alright movie.

A gritty thriller with friendships involved.

Hyun Tae (Ji Sung), In Chul (Ju Ji Hoon), and Min Soo (Lee Kwang Soo) were three longtime best friends. One day, they teamed up to stage a robbery for an insurance settlement. A mishap in their actions lead their friendships to turn sour.

This is a pretty dark and gloomy watch. It didn't really deliver for me. When I think about the plot, I had a hard time filling in the missing pieces. Also, the friendship was not stressed enough and there was not enough character development. What went down among them felt jarring to me.

However, I love how it makes me feel. The action is great and the performance shows a lot of depth. All three leads did amazing, they really pulled my heartstrings especially at the second half. I know Ji Sung is great but so do Lee Kwang Soo and Ju Ji Hoon, well done, everyone! This movie left a mark, the ending was unexpected and it remains in my memory. I would recommend if you are in the mood for a serious, dark, rather noir-themed movie.

Fun fact: The three leads did spin-off in Runningman episode 202 – 203, it was smart and funny, watch this one anytime! I guarantee you’ll be entertained! I laughed so hard and actually was impressed with the teamwork. It was one of my fave Runningman episodes!^^
