"I like waking up to a blurry world."
As humans we're not supposed to deal with so much stress, tragedy, and death, it's more natural for us to lose our empathy and sympathy to protect ourselves form feeling too much. We become saddened by death until we're saddened enough to not have enough energy to care. Just as over-consumption makes us lose our ability to enjoy, desensitization makes us become less human. Now we have become zombies. We are Little Zombies is about a group of kids who grew up in a dark world, not knowing what healthy parental love looks like. Domestic abuse, parental neglect, parental insertion and jealously, bullying, and no support lead these kids to close themselves off. When their parents die, they don't really know how to feel, display their feelings, or what right they have to certain feelings. With parents they hate, but can't help but love, how can they decide what to feel? Instead the shock, the tragedy, the lack of tragedy cause them to become "zombies."
The story plays out as the main character Hikari lives through video games. So the movie is filmed as it their lives are made of stages and save points. A group of kids meet at a funeral and go on emotionless adventures trying to find their emotions as adults fail to understand or protect them and as other adults turn the children's experiences with tragedy and death into something to capitalize on.

Felt
What a gentle, heartwarming movie about an unlikely friendship between a teen and an elderly born from their shared interest.Yuki is such an inspiration. I would've loved to meet someone like her :') On the other hand, Ashida Mana was amazing. I really felt her struggle. She played her character so realistically. Man, I also won't deny how anxious I get sometimes if ever something happens to Yuki. She means the world to Urara too much. Watching the film leaves me with feelings of transcience and a sense of encouragement.
Funny enough, this is the third movie that I watched from JFF where Furukawa Kotone is present. This is just too fuwa-fuwa that now I'm thinking of watching something evil lol

Rebirth and hope
After watching August, I felt more and more that Zhang Zhehan is really a very strong and talented person, every inch of his soul is shining, just like the warm sun in August. At the beginning of the documentary, when I saw the figure walking alone on the snowy mountains and heard him say in a calm voice, "The stigma imposed by the virtual world makes me feel like I am in the abyss", I really had the urge to shed tears.
Following his camera, I walked through Shangri-La, encountered the world's fireworks, passed through forests, meadows and rivers, and then turned in the glacier, and finally arrived in Lhasa. Standing in the bustling streets, watching people come and go, not far away is the Potala Palace, feel the sunshine on the plateau, at that moment, what are you thinking?
In the ruins of the rebuilding of the castle is not a simple thing, but you still go forward. What kind of scenery will the coming August bring? No one can predict, but at this moment we all have the courage to go on.

Do Kyung-soo (D.O.) excels as Ro Ki-soo, a North Korean soldier passionate about tap dancing. Known for his K-pop career, D.O. transitions seamlessly into this dramatic role, demonstrating impressive tap dance skills and emotional depth. Jared Grimes, a seasoned Broadway dancer, brings expertise and authenticity to his role as Jackson, the dance instructor, and his chemistry with D.O. enriches the film.
Park Hye-su portrays Yang Pan-rae with grace and strength, mastering tap dance and adding sincerity to her character. Oh Jung-se and Kim Min-ho also deliver heartfelt performances, balancing humor and poignancy, and contributing to the ensemble's dynamic.
The cast's commitment to learning tap dance showcases their hard work and dedication, making "Swing Kids" a captivating and authentic film.
while i was watching ,i felt connected to the characters and could feel the hardwork in their acting .it had my heart racing,my eyes to bawl tears out and to laugh like i never did.definitely reccomended..<33

I don't know that both actually can deliver it perfectly in an aesthetic way, but they nail it, one is love for their bonding, and another is love for their lasting. I know everyone at least feel it once in a life, the kind of love like that, that's why so many people feel it, the ftustation, the confusion, the depression, all of it is packed in not more than 20 minutes, bravo to all 🖤

Not what I expected
When I saw the cover I thought that it would be cute and wholesome. When I saw the trailer I was like" Oh okay then, not that cute but it still might have wholesome moments".When I actually watched it... damn.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad or anything but just very unexpecting. I actually really liked it more than I thought I would, it felt real. They were just trying their best to survive in their awful society and found comfort even though at first they kind of hated each other. It's not like the new Korean BLs out there where it feels like there isn't one person who is homophobic.
In the Night Flight you see a lot of homophobia and disgusting behaviors from assholes.
Maybe that's why I found it to be more realistic.
You should give it chance if you haven't seen it yet, it might be something you'll enjoy in the end.

I can consider this a Comfort movie.
Before I even started the movie, I check reviews strangely often than I should. However, Being swayed by positive reviews and the rating (obviously lol), I decided to just watch regardless. To start off.. The actress who played Oh Doo-ri/ Oh Mal-soon in her 20's really swept me off my feet with her acting (given years in the field ). Shim Eun-kyung really amazed me, she played such a heartwarming, witty, and very beautiful character.
Na Moon-hee as Mal-soon, though she was there in the beginning and near-ending of the movie, she was indeed my absolute favorite gammy — from her comeback and boldness to her bluntness (completely unfiltered) and caring nature (though it's definitely not in a way we could handle it.) Absolutely made me fall in love with her character.
But the overall cast has really mended the movie so beautifully. I had my fair share of laughter and a tad bit of crying from both laughter and genuine sadness, the hilarity and warmth the movie brought really gave me the comfort I needed, regardless of how my day is.
The OST is amazing honestly, I live for the vocals.
I'd definitely rewatch it a million times, if I were given a chance.

Very good movie
I really enjoyed this movie. Entertaining and engaging. The story, acting and production were very good.I Highly Recommend it
The movie starts to end well, BUT the last interaction in English at the diner actually makes it end with a hard THUD! Very bad ending story line, and poor acting. (This is only the last diner scene & the movie is still very good)
This does not distract from the movie. I'm watching the movie with twists & turns, and then it's about to end, it distracts, adds nothing and reduces the vibe and good feeling.

For a story about BD, oddly cute
I have to admit I never understood BD, but I was curious and knew a K-Movie wouldn't be explicit, otherwise I wouldn't consider watching this movie at all. All that roleplaying was done quite funny and playfully, not toxic and gross as it usually appears to me in all those crime shows, so I didn't wince much although I did still skip some for me too rough stuff. I enjoyed the development of the romantic side of their relationship. Was that believable to viewers with those tendencies, I have no clue, but it was cute to me.Was this review helpful to you?
What on Earth have I just watched?
The English title "Ghost Ship' is a bit misleading, since the ghosts were more like zombies, but whatevs... The headline of my review expresses well how I felt when I reached the end of the movie, it gave me the exact same vibes as The Dawn of the Dead many years ago. It was too ridiculous to be scary, but I think it was deliberate (it's a horror comedy after all), at some points I felt like the movie parodized itself. I don't regret watching it, but I don't think I'd ever rewatch. (To be fair, horror is not my genre to begin with, every now and then I like to watch one, but then I can go for years without missing it, so... It's not that bad, just not my cup of tea.)Was this review helpful to you?
It's been a long time since I watched something that physically made me cringe.
It appeared to be low budget, which in and of itself I don't have a problem with, but the acting was terrible! All the yelling! Even more disappointing was how we were TOLD they were friends, rather than being SHOWN they were friends. They spent too much effort on traveling through time, and not enough to make us see why they were friends.I did think the message was good. Live in the moment.

What happens when everybody tries to to their very best at a wedding
A wedding should be a couple's best day of their life! This is what drives not only the bride and the groom, not only the wedding planner -- but everybody who is invited (and one who is not invited). We get to see backstories of the couple and a few of the guests, who all want to make this day special, while they have their own aspirations. I love the aquatic theme that's going on while they tell their own stories -- even though it's never quite clear why it this theme, not another. (If you know, please tell me!)
The film also takes its "Chekhov's Gun" very seriously, but no need to pay extra attention, you'll see when it's used.
These sincere and genuinely nice characters do their all to make the wedding the best wedding of all time -- and overshoot their goal; this is where most of the humour comes from. I waited for things to go wrong horribly. But this is not the kind of comedy, and it works!
There was a bit of sexism in the beginning -- the long-suffering husband(-to-be) who wants to please his partner, and the "guy outing" (what are guys up to when they are alone, hehe... not that funny, all very innocent though) -- but the groom and the ex-boyfriend are so cute and nice that I can forgive them. There was also a story arc with a bit of "diarrhea-is-funny", I don't mind that kind of humour, other viewers might.
A bit disappointing is that the female characters are not only in the minority but also much less interesting then the men (with the exception of the wedding planner).
All of the actors made their characters come to life -- and I fell in love with all of them. Especially notable was the scene where the fathers and old schoolmates entertain the guests, what a choreography!
There are two storylines that happen simultaneously but are shown after one another; I wonder if they couldn't have been shown as they happened or if this would have been too much? I suppose it's the latter, because overall the pacing was excellent, fast scenes and slow scenes followed an easy rhythm, according to the story.
I wasn't bored for a second, I laughed a lot -- and there were a few heartwarming moments. The ensemble plot and the multiple points of view with their backstories show us a wedding that will be memorable for all of them, the couple, the guests, and the staff of the location.

This is a great documentary.
Director Zhang Zhehan's first documentary "August", from the director, screenwriter, performance, shooting, editing, he almost all participated, which shows that he is an all-powerful person. This documentary records a journey of his riding in Tibet in August 2023, from which we can feel Zhang Zhehan's sincerity. You can take a closer look. There are not only lovely and kind hearts, but also very beautiful scenery, lovely animals and beautiful love in the film. Was this review helpful to you?

The leads have explosive chemistry
The chemistry between the leads is the saving grace for this movie. Had it been any other actors, i would have dropped it or might not even have considered watching it.Were they an ordinary couple? Not really. This is an exaggeration of what ordinary couples are. Sure people fight & have on again off again relationship but these two didn't seem to care about each other. The only time they seem to care was when then weren't together. They were at least not ordinary to me. Both were so violent, making it worse for each other. Maybe this is ordinary to someone out there.
I was hoping they would each find someone to calm them down. But they end up repeating the cycle.
